Jardín de Pollos has an eclectic vibe with upbeat Spanish music that gives the whole place a lively Latin American feel. We ordered half dark chicken, a quarter white chicken, yucca fries, plantains, beans, corn, beef empanadas, and chicken and cheese quesadillas. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The sauces were excellent, and I liked mixing them for a little extra kick. We went back for a chicken empanada because the kids were not sharing theirs. Staff was friendly and the food came out in good time. A great Latin American spot worth visiting. read more

What! This place is amazing!! Guess how we found out about it? We literally followed our noses! That incredible scent of wood burning and chicken cooking slowly over the fire is irresistible!!! Also, you cannot pass up their rice and beans. These beans are homemade and so delicious! Their house made juices are amazing as well. I had the passionfruit juice and asked for it to be not so sweet and they accommodated my request perfectly. They were super attentive, hard working ladies running around trying to take orders but also serve food. I absolutely loved the aesthetic of the place too. It felt like dining in a tree house. Even though it's the middle of summer, it was enjoyable as there was a nice breeze and plenty of shade. The chicken had such great flavor, I put some of that spicy sauce and it was honestly over the top delicious. What a great meal, one I'll remember for a long time, and definitely recommend to others. read more

Love the garden atmosphere to escape some heat. The chicken was very flavorful. Also enjoyed the yuka fries and various sauces. The price is great too. The service was friendly. Looking forward to going back. read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem! This little shack serves some of the best Puerto Rican-style food we've had. The empanadas were absolutely on point, and the plátanos maduros were perfectly cooked. They even serve each item with dipping sauces that pair perfectly with the food. The service was fantastic, our food came out quickly, and you could tell everything was made fresh. The tropical atmosphere and Spanish music really tied the whole experience together and made it feel authentic and welcoming. This is definitely one of our new favorite spots, and we'll absolutely be back. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try--you won't be disappointed! read more

Will Have to go back. 6pm on a Saturday they stopped serving as were out of food. So must be good. I just can't rate higher read more

Super busy place and parking is definitely a premium in this area. Once we found a spot I love the outdoor little garden area. We ordered empanadas (which are really large) both beef and chicken. The beef was much better than the chicken. The chicken just had an odd seasoning. They were also pretty greasy. The sauces though were not something I would try again. The one tasted like Thousand Island Dressing, the next a hot mustard and the last was very mayonnaise like. The sangria was very good and probably would have ordered another but the line here moves SUPER slow. I would come back but mostly to try the sides and it is hard to predict because they do selll out of things. read more

This is a great hidden gem in Dunedin. You order at a window and sit outdoors. The patio looks very authentic Mexican jungle ish with beautiful plants all around. The service was very quick and efficient. Not a ton of English speaking servers but that's okay- we managed just fine. The broasted chicken was literally so moist and delicious. It had an amazing semi spicy favor. I also had the corn on the cobs and beans. Those beans...yummm!! Also topped it off with a sangria which I HIGHLY recommend. It was not busy at all but if you want an authentic meal in Dunedin without all the touristy crowds- this place is for you. read more

*I did not have the food, but I can speak to other things. First of all, parking is VERY limited. Fewer than 10 cars can park on site. But the main concern is the SLOW service. When we arrived, there were 10 people in front of us. We waited 20 minutes, and only one party in line had been helped. The restaurant has VERY limited staff; the same person was taking orders, waiting tables, AND making food. So they could only take one order every 10-15 minutes. I don't care how good the food is; we would have had to wait in line nearly an hour to get help, and THEN wait for our food on top of that. Until they can speed up the service, we will NOT be going back there. read more

Empanada was very good but everything else was just ok. Beans were just ok as well. If I go back I will just get the empanadas

Jadin de Pollos is a whole vibe. Loved the casual atmosphere with friendly staff. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier when ordering food but it is manageable. Food was delicious, especially the plantain. Chicken had good flavor, just not a lot of it. Whatever the fruit drink I ordered was yummy and cold. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. It has an artistry shop attached so you can buy some Bolivian art. Don't let the construction in front deter you as it is temporary. read more

Absolutely fantastic Restaurant very low-key Casual and the chicken is to die for. We usually order a whole chicken and they cut it in four pieces for us, pinto beans, white rice, and some lemonade, which is kind of like an Icee. The frozen lemonade is delicious. We also would like to get an order of plantains and an order of the small little corn on the cobs that are like 4 inches long. Those are delicious too. We highly recommend it. It's very laid-back you go to the little truck and place your order they give you a number and you go and you pick your table. The ladies will bring your food to your table. read more

Saw a whole chicken was $40 so I purchased the chicken breast with rice. Very small and dry portion of chicken for over $15. Cashier shorted my change by over a dollar. No English behind the counter. Never again..... read more

Food was good, but unfortunately the bugs and flies in the outside dining area was excessive. We will give it another chance because of the food, we also came within an hour of closing and they were out of some selections. The service could have been better, it took our server 3 trys to get our drinks right. read more

Hands down the best chicken I have ever had!!! This place is a must try! After seeing them on instagram I had to try and now im addicted.

Casual ambiance... lots of outdoor seating and fun Latin music playing in the background. Walking distance from downtown Dunedin! They specialize in chicken and mine was amazing. You can order a partial or full chicken. I got 1/4 chicken with plantains and rice! The price wasn't bad either ... my total was $17 with a soda. Friendly staff, too. ¡Muy bien! read more

Had a chance to visit this place, the place it self is pretty cool, open with different tables where you can definitely enjoy a nice night out. The people and staff were super friendly. I would say though the food was not as good as I expected, the chicken was on the dry side and lacked seasoning. I also had the empanadas and rice and beans, and must say the feedback was the same. Not very flavorful. For dessert I tried the flan and it just wasn't something I would recommend, specially if you onow flan. It was definitely disappointing because this felt like such a cool place. I think I would give it another shot because I really liked the service there. read more

The last three times I've been here they have made us wait 20 minutes in line to tell us they are out of chicken. It's ridiculous because the guy that works there is the only one that speaks English and he doesn't tell anyone they are running out of chicken and is constantly disappearing while everyone is waiting in line rather than communicating they are running out of chicken. Today I tried to talk to one of the ladies and she saw I was upset because they were almost out of chicken yet again at 7pm again and she couldn't talk with me because she couldn't understand me which is fine but I asked to speak to the other guy and she never got him to come out to us and he went back into the other house again. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. It's a shame because we love the food but I will not ever go back. 3 times in a row making me wait for nothing. read more

Great lunch at this local gem #jardindepollos in Dunedin. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. I liked that they served it with sides of two creamy dipping sauces: one mild and one spicy. Delicious The fried yucca was tasty. And I loved the bite I had of my husband's cheese empanada. Both of these were perfectly crispy. And our sides of beans and corn were good too. The outdoor oasis ambience and cheerful service made for a fantastic meal especially on another beautiful day in the #tampabay #yelptampabay And my friend said next time we need to try their Homemade Sangria read more

After reading many positive comments, we decided to give this a try for dinner. There was a good crowd and a line to order at the window of about six parties. The food looked good as we observed servers bringing out various dishes to the diners. A couple of parties ahead of us placed their orders with a gentleman working the window. He then disappeared for a while with nobody taking his place. A few minutes later, we noticed he was tending to the chickens on the rotisseries. The line to order grew during this delay. Eventually, he returned to the window and stated they were very backed up and would not be taking any more orders for at least an hour. This was disappointing, especially after waiting in line for 20+ minutes. Everyone in line dispersed, trying to figure out somewhere else for dinner. We figured we would try this place out, perhaps for a weekday lunch, assuming they will not be as busy and overwhelmed. We may still do that, but noticed here on Yelp that their health inspections are less than stellar, the most recent being on 3/26/26 and requiring a reinspection. Accordingly, we may delay our visit, but would still like to give this a try. read more

Great outdoor mostly covered garden seating nestled on the outskirts of downtown Dunedin - open and inviting to catch a breeze or two. Good BBQ chicken(their focus with numerous options), ribs, grilled steak and wonderful empanadas which are perfectly crispy with stuffing, like the beef one I had, that is juicy, savory and delicious with value pricing at $4 each. Great relaxing place for a beer and good food when the weather is good read more

I went with the dark chicken and wow... it tasted just right. Juicy, seasoned to perfection, and packed with flavor. Honestly, all I was missing was my favorite pair of jeans and a cold one to make it the ultimate comfort moment. The beef empanada was another standout--so juicy and bursting with flavor. Ran out of chicken? Like what? Yet they remain open. Ridiculous. They do this often, according to other customers there.

Incredibly good chicken and empanadas! It's all I can comment on, because that's all I've tried so far but all I can say is WOW! Probably the best smoked chicken I've ever had. Cooked in a smoker with an open flame it is delicious and succulent. The chicken empanada was the best I've ever had. No place air conditioned to eat inside but outside seating is semi-covered with fans to help with the heat. I'll stick with takeout until the cool weather arrive. Give this place a try and you won't be sorry! read more

Quick lunch with a friend. This place has been consistently good. We tried three different empanadas. All were great, but the chicken and beef were my favorites. The chicken empanada had so much flavor with bursts of delicious green olives and capers. The beef had great flavor but still stayed true to the beef which I was pleased with. In my experience a lot of beef empanadas have a sloppy Joe like filling this one wasn't sweet like that. It was just really well seasoned beef and vegetables. The pork was good but not my favorite as it was BBQ pork and I just wasn't expecting that. Love exploring this new to me menu. read more

What took me so long to discover Jardin De Pollo?! Maybe it was the traffic circle that makes it more visible, but Jardin will be my new go-to place for me and for my guests. The food is outstanding (from the delicious bbq chicken to the thoughtful and tasty sides). The prices are reasonable, you could even say cheap. That goes for the beers and sangria as well.
