Bought a dozen donuts here because we were in the area and my dad wanted some donuts. Got here in the afternoon and didn't realize they were about to close so the selection wasn't all that great. All the donuts were pretty average tasting, nothing stood out. I didn't like the french cruller as it was hollow and the dough tasted weird. Apple fritter was super sweet. read more

Solid donuts, will come back to try cronuts! Happened to stop by Jannys by chance, and couldn't help but walk away with a half-dozen donuts. I wasn't feeling the complexities/messiness of cronuts that day, so I got a couple old-fashioneds and bars, along with a blueberry and standard glazed. Of the ones I ended up eating, I was a big fan of the chocolate glazed old-fashioned and maple bar. Both had the right texture balance, and the maple was especially not too sweet. Chocolate bordered on cloying, but it was doable. My friends enjoyed the blueberry and glazed, so I'll take their word for those. I wouldn't say the donuts here blew me away (or separated themselves from a place like Mag's), but they were certainly enjoyable, and I look forward to returning, intentionally this time! read more

I live just a few minutes from Janny's and get it for weekend breakfast at least a couple of times a month. My family loves it so much! They're always friendly and greet my toddler with some donut holes to snack on while we pick out our donuts. The donuts are classic and absolutely delicious and we cannot get enough of their breakfast sandwiches. Janny's exemplifies a neighborhood small business that has found a place in our hearts! read more

My favorite donut stop in Irvine! They serve all the normal donuts you would expect from any average donut shop. I always get the glazed donut and blueberry donut from every donut store I go to ($1 each), and the ones at Jannys are great! The owners are very nice and pleasant as well, and you know this place is good if it's bustling (as it was when I dropped by Saturday morning). I also tried their black and white donut, which is quite delicious! They also serve specialized cronuts ($3), which I haven't tried but definitely want to. Highly recommend dropping by. read more

I've been coming here for almost 10 years. I used to pay $18 a dozen for the Fancy Donuts (i.e. Bear Claws, Cinnamon Rolls, Apple Fritters and Tigers Tails.) They are now $33 a dozen. So insane. But so worth it. They are the best yeast raised donuts I've had since leaving Chicago. Give em a try. You wont be sorry!. read more

There's always a huge variety of donuts here ( even if you don't get here first thing in the morning ). The quality of donuts are top notch. I came here after work on a Friday. I was hoping to get some of the specialty donuts that I read about in the reviews, but sadly they only had the normal donuts left. Would definitely recommend coming in early to get those specialty donuts. I got 5 donuts, 2 glazed, 2 sugar, and a chocolate bar. It was so cheap! The donuts are like other places, rather soft and chewy, so if you have a craving, you can definitely come here. The woman who rang up my order was so sweet! She gave me donut holes for free and was extremely friendly. I can see why the star rating is so high, its because of the great service, cheap prices, and quality donuts. read more

I haven't had donuts in YEARS!!! Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOOOVE donuts, but I just had to stay away from them for a while. This morning, on my way the work, I thought to myself... "I want a donut". So I told myself that IF I beat traffic and have an additional 15 minutes, I'd get some donuts, if not, I'll just go straight to work. So I stumbled here to Janny's Donuts and there was a LONG ASS LINE. There are only 2 people who work there so I pretty much waited a good 7 minutes to order donuts. I decided to come here last minute to buy some goodies for my coworkers. I called Jannys Donuts and asked them if they offer curbside pick up since I had my baby in the car and was looking for something quick and easy. I told them I would be there within 20 minutes and my order was ready by the time I got there! They were so helpful when I called in and were willing to bring my order out to my car! I had the maple bacon cronut from Janny's. It was absolutely, outrageously, decadent and delicious. It was my first foray into cronuts. The cronut was light, with several delicious layers covered in sweet maple icing with fairly large, unctuous, porky pieces of bacon. Sweet and savory on a cronut. Wow! Not a huge deal, my husband went up to ask for it and the guy at the bar was very nice, even gave us extra sauce. We got to eating and when my husband took a bite of his sandwich, he bit into bacon and we do not eat pork! He was very upset and doesn't like to make a fuss (normally would eat the sandwich even if it was the wrong order) but again, we do not eat pork and not eating pork is a big deal to us so he just wanted the sandwich he ordered. I went to the register to ask if we can have the correct sandwich made and let them know they can take the other sandwich back and once again the guy from the bar came to help, our original cashier did not want to make eye contact, didn't bother coming up to the register or apologized for anything. We felt bad because they threw away the whole sandwich, which I know is the typical process for the food industry but still sad seeing the food go to waste. While we were waiting for the correct sandwich, Kadence was still giving us dirty looks so we decided to go eat outside and from outside we could still see her in the window continuing to give us dirty looks! Laughable at this point. My husband and I are both very friendly and understanding people, we always love to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she was having a bad day and it was an honest mistake, but her demeanor just made things very uncomfortable. Overall, we would not come back to this location as there are two other locations closer to where we live and their staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Favorites are the chicken farro soup (yum, seriously crave during cold nights) and the chicken parm sandwich - the fastest I've ever eaten a sandwich. Delicious and I love that they have the extra side of tomato sauce. It's always clean inside, the staff is nice, and the ordering system is convenient. I just feel like there are options missing from the menu...simple things like French fries? Caesar salad? Simpler sandwiches? I feel like every option on the menu is pretty overwhelming and busy.
