Mrs. Hopkins was willing to work with my schedule but I came on in because his prom is Saturday. We walked in and we felt like home. She greeted us, and started right to work. She wanted to give my son what he wanted and warned us her limits because of how the pants are made. I loved this because she is the expert. When we left, we were told that it would be ready on tomorrow (Friday) but she called me on Tuesday to let me know it was ready. We will come today because he had to work. She…read morefailed to call as promised on the day before I was to come in for my fitting to let me know what time so I didn't get in until the next week. 2. She got confused because she didn't make any notes to leave on my dress and just before I came in for my first fitting she told me she had finished the job. WHAT?! How? I wondered if she had confused me with another customer. She hadn't. She had sewn my dress. So scary. She tried to blame-shift on several occasions as if these things were somehow my fault. 3. Thankfully she hadn't ruined my dress. After she fitted me and did further alterations, I tried it on and she realized she hadn't actually hemmed the dress. Good grief. 4. When it was supposedly done and I got it home and tried it on, I realized she hadn't taken the hips up at all -- they were puffing out. She had only done the bodice and the hem. She charged extra for that when I took it back! This experience was a nightmare. Her work cost $340 with no discounts for bringing me to tears twice or the hassles resulting for her numerous oversights. The sewing itself was very good but save yourself some heartache if you can and go elsewhere.

I dropped off three items for tailoring one week ago and paid for the services in advance. I was instructed to return today to pick them up. Upon arrival, the associate presented my items and informed me that I owed an additional $35 because she had forgotten to include one of the necessary services for a dress on my original ticket. She then stated that I would not be allowed to take my clothes until this additional charge was paid. The $35 charge increased the total cost for this single, casual dress to $85. Given that this was the staff's error, I believe the business should have absorbed this cost, especially since I had already paid $50 for the tailoring--a price point that already made me question if the inexpensive dress was worth the investment. Furthermore, my phone number was clearly on the ticket, yet no one contacted me to approve the price increase or ask if I wished to proceed with the work at the new rate. As a result of this experience, which was caused by the new management's oversight and poor customer service, this was my last visit to Jackie's.

She was standing behind the counter hiding between two flower pots positioned on the counter looking at me as if I didn't belong there. She never said hello or acknowledged me. After I noticed her, I told her I had some items for alterations, then she asked "What You Want?" I showed her the vest I needed tailored, and she immediately told me she couldn't do it! I asked why, and she said because they had zippers and a lining, then she added she didn't want to do it! Her demeanor and attitude is absolutely horrible! This was my first time going there and my last! The place is extremely small and cluttered, as if it was a place where you go to buy second hand items off the street, rather than a professional tailoring shop. Needless to say, I took my items to another tailor shop and had absolutely no problems. People and places like this should not be in business that serves the general public by any means!

When I picked up again the middle was still short and she had only fixed the ends so they match! Also there is a "V" shape scissor cut in the middle of my item!
