She…read morefailed to call as promised on the day before I was to come in for my fitting to let me know what time so I didn't get in until the next week. 2. She got confused because she didn't make any notes to leave on my dress and just before I came in for my first fitting she told me she had finished the job. WHAT?! How? I wondered if she had confused me with another customer. She hadn't. She had sewn my dress. So scary. She tried to blame-shift on several occasions as if these things were somehow my fault. 3. Thankfully she hadn't ruined my dress. After she fitted me and did further alterations, I tried it on and she realized she hadn't actually hemmed the dress. Good grief. 4. When it was supposedly done and I got it home and tried it on, I realized she hadn't taken the hips up at all -- they were puffing out. She had only done the bodice and the hem. She charged extra for that when I took it back! This experience was a nightmare. Her work cost $340 with no discounts for bringing me to tears twice or the hassles resulting for her numerous oversights. The sewing itself was very good but save yourself some heartache if you can and go elsewhere.

I was so pleased that I referred her to friends and family and searched my closet for more clothes that I hadn't worn because they needed alterations so she could fix them. My previous enjoyable experience with Perfect Alterations all changed after I brought a V cut dress to her. She added fabric to the center of it so that it was not revealing. When I picked it up, at first glance it looked fine, (she didn't ask me to try it on) but when I put it on for my engagement portrait session the next day, it was obviously crooked. It was so obvious that I asked the photographer to not photograph me straight on and ended up changing into other outfits for the rest of the session. I moved 2 hours away shortly after that. Several months later when I was back in town I took the dress to her so she could fix it. I also brought another pair of pants for her to hem. She was defensive toward me and refused to admit that she sewed it crooked. She blamed me for waiting too long, (it shouldn't matter,) washing the dress, (which I didn't do,) my body being crooked, (it's not,) my straps needing to be adjusted, (they were perfectly symmetrical) I was too picky, (I'm not)...whatever she could come up with to divert the blame from herself. Everyone that I have shown the dress to sees that it is obviously sewn crooked. I posted a pic. I was not mad. I just wanted her to make the material straight so I could wear it. She refused to admit it's crooked, or fix it, and would not hem my pants, either. She claimed my pants were too stretchy and that they could not be hemmed. The pants are 60% poly, 35% rayon, and only 5% spandex. If I'm not mistaken, this is a normal material blend and should be able to be hemmed. Since she can't sew straight, won't fix her mistakes, & can't hem dress pants, I don't recommend her at all.

Typically there are 2 young girls working & they always act put upon....like the customer is bothering them! They look at you & don't speak!! It's the craziest thing! I stopped by a couple of weeks ago to drop off some clothes & the lights were turned off & no one was around. Then one of the young girls walked up & said their computers were down so I could neither drop off nor pick up my clothes!! What in the world?? No worries for them....I'm one less customer who will be interrupting their day!!

I took a coat to the store across from Publix on Hwy 378 to be cleaned and have the buttons…read morereinforced. When I picked up my coat, the buttons were not only not reinforced, three were missing. When asked about them, the young girl at the counter said that they did not fix the buttons before the coat was cleaned and there was no way to find the lost ones. They wouldn't agree to replace the buttons when asked, and there was no 'I'm sorry'. In fact, she had a really poor attitude. It wasn't until my mother went in there a few months later and told an older woman what happened that there was any attempt to rectify the situation. Sorry, but too little too late. This whole ordeal left such a bad taste in my mouth, I will not go to this location again.

They did not listen to my request and changed something other than what I asked for, which made the dress 4-5 sizes too large. They attempted to "fix" that issue but I'm still having the same problem. I have been in 4 times now trying to get it back to the way it was (plus my one requested change), and they seem unable to do that. For your sanity (especially if you're a bride), do not take your wedding dress here for alterations.

Didn't use the dry cleaner service but did use the alterations. Alterations fit like they should…read moreand looked professional. Very pricey though especially for zippers. I would recommend finding a seamstress because the tailor was more worried about talking you out of doing the repair then figuring out the best way to go about the repair. Also they didn't seem to have set prices, I was quoted different prices from different people all working in the same area. I think I would stick to using them for dry cleaning and find alterations elsewhere.

It has been 24 days since I heard from BL Tailors about this issue. The last email was on 2/25/2015 "Our insurance company finally got back in contact with B&L Tailors and denied the claim for the shirts. We would like to work something out reasonably with you. Please let us know." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap of the issues experienced with B&L Tailors On 6/20/2014 I searched the web looking for an "online" tailor for a few higher end bespoke shirts.The reviews seemed good so I took a chance with B&L because my father was in the military in SC. The job was simple - to tailor several shirts based on a "template" shirt. The end goal was to take in the sides and sleeves on some. (Will post pics of the results later.) The shirts were returned to me 6 weeks later (as opposed to 10 days later as quoted) and 1" slimmer than the measurements requested. The quality was inconsistent (some shirts darted, some taken in on the sides). As of today 4/2/2015 I'm without my shirts, or a plan for resolution. 6 months ago B&L Tailors contacted their insurance and ultimately requested the original receipts of the shirts. I found them, but the claim was denied anyway. Overall, Lloyd has been very professional and even offered an apology in writing. However, I'm still without $900 worth of shirts and a path to resolution. I've spent countless e-mails over the past year, but do not seem to be getting any sense of urgency. Sometimes it can take 2 months for a response. I've also tried calling the office but the lines are never answered. At this point it's been almost a year and I'm unable to direct answers on how this will get resolved. So I'll start with this review hoping it will reach someone who can help. I will provide updates until this matter is resolved, and adjust my rating accordingly.
