I went in to see Sara for a cut to help address my postpartum hair loss. I didn't bring a photo or really have much guidance for her. I just asked her to do what she thought was best for my situation and I'm so happy I did! She gave me a great, fresh cut that's low maintenance and makes my hair look so much fuller. No matter what location she's been at I have followed. She is the absolute best!! I'm a dark brunette with lots of gray and I like blonde not gold and she nails it every time! I live out of state but find a way to have her do her magic to my hair as often as I can. Sometimes I stay longer to ensure I can get two beautiful works of art from her. This salon is absolutely amazing!! I found them via Instagram and immediately texted with Jane. She was very upfront about the cost and process to correct years and years of box dying my hair along with the damage of extensions. I'm about to introduce my parents to my boyfriend, and was in a pinch, so Jane graciously set up an appointment next day for me with Sarah. I've had terrible anxiety for years about going to a professional stylist after a really bad experience in the past, and was so impressed by how EASY it was to talk to Sarah and tell her exactly what I was hoping to achieve with my hair. I went in with the hopes of lightening the box dye, improving the shape of my haircut without cutting off too much length, and not using bleach to accomplish this. Sarah and Jane are an awesome team and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. We decided upon a color removal service which basically removes the darker dye molecules from the hair, and then we did a color touch up on the roots to conceal greys and blend everything. We didn't even dye all of my hair or have to use bleach which I thought was incredible!! My hair is definitely a work in progress, and I wasn't expecting miracles to happen, but I am absolutely impressed and have already set up my next appointment in a month. I found Jane on yelp almost 4 years ago when I was in a really bad place with my hair. I had been going to the same place my entire life in Philadelphia, but I was spending the summer out in LA and I needed to get my color done. I'd never actually knew what to ask for with my hair and the place that was originally recommended to me, completely butchered the color and I was incredibly distraught. I found Jane on Yelp and sent her pictures of what my hair looked like and how I wanted it back to being. She was able to accomplish it no sweat and ever since I moved out to LA the following year, I've only ever gone to Jane. She is such a kind, funny, understanding, and lovely person, it makes your time sitting in the chair (for me usually 4 hours...so much hair) a really great experience. The new space that she's in is so great and pretty! Jane has never lead me astray from having a great look when leaving and I'm so happy to have her to do my hair and also as a friend. It was my first experience of hair styling in years. After having my hair burnt in one of the salons I learnt that it does not matter how fancy salon is if a hairstylist does not have experience of working with the type of hair you have. Believe me, Jane has the vast experience and she is passionate about what she is doing. She understands hair like no one else. I scheduled my appointment through yelp after reviewing a bunch of salons, looking at the pictures from previous customers and I felt that Jane might be a hairstylist I've been looking for. At the beginning what impressed me is that she responded within 30 min to 1 hour depending on how busy she was. She asked me to send her pictures of my hair and provide info on what my hair goals were so that she would be able to plan time properly. When I came I did not have to wait and she did not work with other customers during my time. I liked the friendly atmosphere. The place was neat and clean without constant loud noise but with nice soft background music. But most of all I liked that she took time to go once again with me over my hair goals and my concerns and through my whole visit she treated my hair as if it was her own. I am absolutely fascinated with the result. She breathed life into my hair, created the natural sun-kissed effect that I've been looking for. I got balayage/foilyage, a much needed haircut and an Olaplex treatment by Sara yesterday. I'm loving how it turned out!! I went in a little scared about changing my hair since I had a horrible experience at another place 2 years ago. Sara put me at ease right when I walked in and I knew I was in good hands. We spent the first 15 minutes for a hair consultation about my hair goals. I showed Sara some pictures but told her that I don't really know what would be the best look for me and she was so patient with me as we came up with a game plan. She created the perfect recipe to compliment my skin tone and I felt so good when I walked out the salon! It was also so easy to talk to Sara throughout the whole process. I felt like my friend was doing my hair! I asked so many hair questions and Sara was so knowledgeable and so patient. I also asked for an Olaplex treatment while she was doing my hair and she added on that service for me at a reasonable price. The salon is also super clean and modern. Parking might be an issue but they do validate for an hour. Also, the only other thing is that the lighting in the salon is kinda dim so I couldn't tell how vibrant the highlights were until I got super close to the mirror and Sara took pictures of my hair. Otherwise, I'm super happy with Sara and how she transformed my hair! Also, special shoutout to Jane! I contacted her initially because her number was on the website. And she provided me an initial consultation via text. She's also super helpful, sweet and direct about what kind of look we could achieve and also how much all the services would cost. Adria has been cutting my hair for almost a year now, I was referred by a friend and since I work on the other side of the building, it made sense. Over the past year, my hair has gone through several colors, bleach included , but she always manages to keep my hair healthy -- never cutting too much.
