Jam's has not closed! It is under new ownership and is fabulous. We go there all of the time for either a killer breakfast or lunch, the burgers are huge, fresh and cooked perfectly. The breakfasts are to die for. They have the best grits we've ever had. They are made with half and half, not water! The sausage and bacon are unbelievable. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. We don't go anywhere else for breakfast or lunch. The prices are perfect. There is, sometimes, a wait to get in but, not long as there is plenty of seating. I almost hate to give this rating because that will mean more and more folks showing up for great food. We're a little selfish and hate to share great places but, the owner is terrific and deserves this rating PLEASE CHECK OUT JAMS. read more

Will not be going back, waited 45 minutes for food, watched 3 other tables who were seated after us get their food- no communication about delay or when if ever we were getting the food . Told woman at register , another one came over& said it can take up to an hour to get your order depending on what you order? Seriously????? I had one egg, home fries and toast and the big sausage for 4 dollars but if you come in before 10AM it is only 3 dollars. As I got ready to leave my nice little breakfast I noticed something that will bring me back LOL!!! A man was splitting a humongous sandwich with his wife that was still in the car. I asked what he was having and the waitress said, oh it is just our turkey sandwich. It was freaking HUGE!!!! She said all the sandwiches are huge!!!! I don't think I could eat a whole one!!!! Very disappointed. I'll start by saying I ordered thru Uber eats. I ordered the steak and eggs and a few other breakfast items for my family. I requested my steak medium and my eggs fried. I got over easy eggs and rare steak and tasted horrible. When I called the restaurant I was told "Uber eats isn't the best platform to order the orders aren't always right." That was it. I asked would they fix it and was told no. Contact uber. So I will not patronize this business again as I was stuck with good I couldn't eat and a restaurant I was willing to drive to that was no help. read more

Crap crap crap! Gave me bad cucumbers(attached photos, some of the lettuce was bad too(photos attached as well) and bad green peppers. Told me to pick off the cheese I didn't want(when I was ordering) when I asked if they could keep the American off. How rude! I asked for Chicken breast in place of the turkey. They gave me both. I'm allergic to turkey. So my mom ended up eating this. Then of course found all the nastiness. I felt horrible that after she started eating she found bad food. I did call them and they made a stink of this. Saying they never heard me say no turkey. No, I asked if I could have chicken breast instead of turkey, if they do that and her exact words were "sure, that's not a big deal". Like I was lying...what reason would I have to lie. Super insulting! They literally told me to put it in the fridge and bring it back tomorrow when their open. First of all, I ordered lunch because I wanted to eat lunch...like everyone else that orders lunch. Second of all, who has time for this?? I'm a mom of four, go to work and school. I've been here for breakfast with my family before. This was my first time bringing my mom here. My daughter and I went out for a breakfast date & we were fortunate enough to stop in at Jam's Cafe. We were welcomed with smiles and warmth. After sitting down, even though it was quite busy, we were very well taken care of. Not only was the food great, the service was wonderful. It is so nice to have someone who is genuinely kind, friendly and wants you to enjoy your time there, taking care of you! We met and talked with the owner, Debbie, and it makes you understand why the atmosphere is so family oriented! It is obvious she cares for her staff and her customers. We will definitely be going back. I definitely recommend you giving them a try. read more

Jams is my jam!! This place always has great food and great service. The crowd at the door proves the case. Terrific little spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch. The employees here try their absolute best to ensure every visit is just as warm and great as the first. Yelpers have let us down. We came here to try it after seeing the good reviews, what a disappointment. I was a server for 10 years so I understand a busy Sunday brunch hour and having off days but this was so much past that. We arrived and were told that we need to wait outside and they will call us when a table is ready. It took 10 minutes that's not bad. But if you are going to have people waiting outside at least place a few chairs out there to wait in. 3 couples that came after us left because they were not willing to stand outside and wait. We should have taken their queue and found somewhere else. We were seated and not even a minute later the waitress walks up and asks us to order our food right away. We had not even opened the menus yet. We asked for a water and coffee and said we'd be ready to order when she came back. She brought the coffee and water and walked away. We had to flag her down to get a straw and creamer and place our order. When it finally came out only the pancakes were hot. The eggs, bacon and hash browns were all cold. It was more than 15 minutes before she ever came to check on us and by check on us I mean she walked past us slapped down our bill and kept walking to another table. She never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything. I will definitely not be back. The service was crap and the food was not good. read more

This place is alright, and it's open when most other local places are closed. I came here for lunch and had a grilled chicken wrap. To be honest, the wrap itself was lacking in flavor and, paired with the french fries, it tasted like cafeteria food (that I pay 1/3 the price for) at my job. However, the service was good and the staff was very friendly, and, in their defense, maybe the breakfast is the meal to get at this restaurant. read more

We have been loyal fans of Jams for as long as they have been open. But lately some things have changed. The breakfasts have been, for the most part, overcooked and dry. And it's baffling how they are unable to make toast. Every time we have gone to Jams for at least the last six months, the ""toast" has arrived as warm mushy bread. When I have sent it back, it invariable comes back burned. Seriously ---how difficult is it to toast bread ?? One other really annoying thing about Jams is the LOUD music. I have given up on asking the kitchen staff to turn it down. It never changes; every time we come back, the music is blaring once again. I feel bad writing this, because we really like the Debbie (the owner) and her servers (especially Rose, out favorite server anywhere) and Barb, the cashier. I thought maybe it's just that we're too picky, so we tried the Mariner Family Restaurant this morning -- and everything was prepared PERFECTLY...and the music was appropriate in content and volume. read more

What a great disappointment... went there for breakfast. Was not real crowded. Waiting over 20 minutes to even get waited on and when we did was poor at best. After about 45 the breakfast came out. Missing half of the order, when the server finally decided to check on us, told her the pancakes were missing. Again, after another 30 minutes she brought out the pancakes... they were cold and not done..all she said when she was the cook forgot they were part of the original meal... There was no Ned to e the all to the manager for she was sitting BSing with the folks at the table next to us.. stared at us and didn't say a word. Big disappointment. After looking for a local breakfast place online I chose this diner. It's cute and the people are friendly. Thumbs down on the omelette. All of the ingredients are chapped so much they are very tiny and then they use processed cheese on top. Flavors are just ok. Potatoes are good. Third time there first two were good don't think we will return were seated after a wait table was under a fan which I asked if it could be shut off as it was cold inside was told no so sat there cold the whole time and when our food came it was cold halfway thru eating due to ceiling fan on it the whole time many other restaurants we can go to and not freeze due to A/C turned too low and fans on too high. read more

This is one of my favorite places in town! You simply can't go wrong at Jam's! The breakfasts are outstanding and the lunches are just as delicious. No small portions here, plenty of small prices! The pancakes are easily bigger than your face and delicious!!! They do something extra special with their sausage links that simply put them over the top! If you like omelets, you'll love the selection at Jam's! Lunches are great as well... sandwiches chock full o' meats and accompanied by delicious fries. Came here by myself while I was visiting Springhill, and had to bring the family back because they were missing out on some awesome food and great service! The grilled biscuits and the crunchy french toast were 2 of my favorites. The omelet I had (cornedbeef hash with grilled onions and cheese) was so good, I got it the next time I came in. Stopped for breakfast. Poached eggs were watery and cold, English muffin cold, bacon cooked as requested but served cold, grits were acceptable. My husband's omelette was tasty, but again, room temp. They were mopping the floors at 9:30 am, the place smelled like disinfectant. This smell does not mix well while eating food. Very disappointed. read more

Had the turkey wrap, and it was great! Cole slaw was standard issue, no frills, and the fries were unremarkable. The turkey in the wrap was ice cold which is a good sign! I was given the choice of flavored tortillas. Nice touch. The service was absolutely excellent. read more
