(Belated post, Summer 2022) We returned back to Jams during our Summer Vacay and we're pleasantly surprised to see NOTHING had changed -- in the BEST possible way! The wait time was still prompt, service still stellar, and food still DELICIOUS! Gotta love Jams! Will definitely keep coming back to this place for a down home, family vibe and tasty dishes to boot. Still highly recommended!

Last time I checked. French toast was made with cinnamon, the hash brown had no seasoning what so ever, taste like you biting into a potato, eggs are sunny side up and they didn't cook them very well yolk still cold. The only thing that was good was the bacon and the toast $32 dollar for 2 of these order

MEAT and POTATOES.... and peanuts!…read moreYeah, why not??? I've been enjoying Cody's for a lot of years. It's been quite a while since I wrote a review. I figured it was high time to update my feelings about Cody's. Yesterday I stopped in for an early dinner. Around 3.:30 or so. I was in the mood for something simple. Something simply STEAK-y! I quickly settled on the EARLY BIRD Top Sirloin Steak. An easy choice, and it turned out to be the RIGHT CHOICE. A very Delicious RIGHT CHOICE... Of course, I politely munched on some peanuts as I waited for my mandatory BIG BOWL O' ENDLESS SALAD! I made sure NOT to throw any peanut shells on the floor. I will say I kinda miss that 'Back in the day' CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH sound of walking on peanut shells. BUT, I totally get it! Saves a LOT of backaching work for the Cody's Crew NOT having to scoop up tons of spent shells off the floors, seats and everywhere. Speaking of Cody's Crew! My server was the wonderful Joni R! The one with the dazzling smile and the perfect serve! AND the excellent upside-down handwriting. She took excellent care of me. Always right there, the moment BEFORE I was about to ask for something. She delivered a mighty fine bowl of that savory salad. She kept my tea filled, my needs met and my spirits high. I enjoyed EVERY SINGLE BITE of my entire meal. It was one of those times where you knew you ordered EXACTLY what you wanted but didn't know just how much you wanted it until you ordered it and then ate it!!! WHEW! (I did all that on purpose!) Cody's AND Joni were a HUGE HIT! I enjoy the atmosphere very much. Like being in an old Western saloon, that serves excellent food. All the while watching the golfing crowd, the fishermen/women and the Seniors (like me) amble in. A LOT of those fine folks are hot on the trail of the EARLY BIRD MENU. That's a very fair deal for some truly fine grub. (NO PICS today. I was too busy people watching, yakking and eating)

Conveniently located behind steak 'n Shake in the Publix plaza. Indoor seating is air-conditioned and they have booths, which are nice when you're with family wanting conversation. Outdoor area is shaded and has a TV in a breeze (wish they'd clean up the trash in the retention pond because it takes away from this experience). We didn't wait very long before the food came, and it was a LOT of food. We both had to box it up and take it home. We both got the same thing, which was the scrambled bowl (I hope that's the correct name of the dish). It was very good. We both had the loaded egg with American cheese on it and it came with a busicut, toast, or bagel and since I can't eat bread, my daughter had my biscuit. She devoured that. She said she loved how the bread had just the right amount of toasting on the top, as though they butter it and put it face down on the grill. I will definitely be back again! We had the fish tacos, shrimp, tacos, watermelon Mojito, and steak sub. The fish tacos were divine and my daughter loved the shrimp tacos as well. Breakfast platters are healthy portions and also didn't disappoint. If you get there early, they have weekend mimosa and Bloody Mary specials (BOGO). Our favorite person was an elderly woman that cleans up the dishes. So incredibly sweet, kind and personable. Staff is very efficient, friendly, and food arrives rather quickly... along with beverages. Great view overlooking a canal, small deck on canal, complete with view of snapping turtles, cool breeze, shade, and areas to take pictures (dock, mermaid statues, dolphin statue, florida signage, etc.) We will definitely be back (again)!
