This place is terrible. We ordered the BBQ platter for two (4 meats and 4 sides). I figured the bbq would be good, because it's a third of the menu. Wrong. The ribs were absolutely tasteless, almost as if someone removed the natural pork taste, and tough and dry. You could tell they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The pulled pork was also dry and tasteless. The cornbread was the worst I've ever had. Also dry, cold, hard, and bland. The onion rings were good. They forgot the fries. The collard greens were so-so The wings were actually decent. They have a buffalo sauce with garlic and parm that's pretty good. The brisket was also good. Wanted to support a local place during the covid so we went here. The food was horrible. Nacho's cheese tasted old and the wings were so overly breaded. The servers are fantastic and friendly. For the price, we expected better food quality. This place could be a GREAT local hangout for sports and get togethers...but I can not stress how horrible the food was. read more

We really want to love this place. We've been there 6 or so times since moving to the area a little over a year ago. Sometimes the food and service is outstanding and other times we're embarrassed we brought our friends. We had one significant issue with our order and the owner came out and apologized and comped our order. He was very nice. This helped restore our faith in the place. We came back again with friends and the food was awful as was our service. However the beer selection is great. I think it's a great place to get a beer after work but the food is so inconsistent we have avoid it for some time now. We'll likely give them a few more chances. read more

The first time we went service & food was average. We recently went back when they had their HOP FEST & had a totally different experience. The beer selection was phenomenal & I just checked their draft list & it's pretty darn good. The food was good too - i got some crazy burger with pork roll & a fried egg & all the guys liked their food. While visiting Pennsylvania recently, I went to the Jamison Pour House for lunch with a large group, some of whom I had heard varying opinions on the food and its preparation. My experience was pleasant. For starters, I do enjoy a nice craft brew with my meal, and the restaurant sure is able to provide that. They have a somewhat complete beer listing of beers around the United States and even a few from Europe. I opted for an Allagash white beer, which I thoroughly enjoyed. For lunch, I had an appetizer of old bay fries with white cheese sauce. The white cheese sauce was reminiscent of the taste of poutine gravy and cheese curds, which made for an interesting, yet satisfying taste combination. I also had a prime rib sandwich, which on taste alone I would surely recommend to others. The service by the waitstaff was on top of things, especially when dealing with orders from a group of over a dozen people. The Jamison Pour House also seems to cater to people of all ages, as they were sponsoring a Lunch with Santa (as people could get pictures with Santa) during our time there. read more

Walked in on a Friday night and it was not busy. There was still tables available. The 3 hostess couldn't care less. I had to ask for a table. We were sat down and handed menus. We sat for 10 minutes while every waiter and waitress walked past us. We decided we were not staying at that point. This review is overdue. I met a friend here on the Thursday after Christmas. We didn't know it was trivia night when we went, but wound up having a great time. It was a crowded and everyone was into the trivia. The person's name that was running it was Dave. He was great. He kept everyone engaged and was real funny. The categories were fun (movie songs, 80s/90s, and more). The food was good. The bartender was very friendly and gave us sensational service. I enjoyed it so much that I came back the next week by myself and had a great experience again. I haven't been back yet because of my schedule, but plan on coming back soon. read more

I cannot review the food since I walked out. The wife and I were seated and no one came to our table for 10 minutes. Several wait staff buzzed around us but no one waited on us. Wait staff seemed to be struggling to avoid eye contact. One waitress almost served us another table's meal until she noticed we had menus on the table. Place was not crowded. We were seated right away. We decided to leave. I told the kid at the host station what happened and he apologized but never offered to get a manager. Her attitude about it proved she didn't care. Giving me an excuse that she was busy, in a nearly empty bar/ restaurant. Over the last several years, she has served me 3 times that I can recall. Always something. She would never work for me, and because she works for the Pour House, I will not be their customer again. I really enjoyed both the food and the ambiance of the Pourhouse. I've been going here for many years, and always had a good time. I also have really enjoyed Trivia Night on Thursday nights, hosted by Dave Lingman. They're really fun and the categories are varied. He always has new questions and new categories, from playing music to questions on a broad variety of topics. I have started bringing more of my friends, and it's something we really look forward to when we are home from college. Definitely would go back for that. read more

Very dissapointed. My son and i went every Tuesday for half price apps and wedge salads. Being a single mom the prices were perfect and we had our great Tuesday nite dinners. Every since I moved from the Abington area, leaving behind the Drake (love the long windows that open out to the street - food can be hit or miss, but when it's hit, it's grand) and the Vintage (owners are fabulous, bartenders great, food always a hit - but small and too dark) I've been searching for a 'replacement.' Someone recommended the Jamison Pour House and though it took us a few months to actually get around to going, I think I've found my replacement (if only it wasn't a 20 minute drive!). Do not let its small stature on the outside fool you. When you walk in, there is a nice dining area to the right and a bar to the left. Of course, we headed straight to the bar. The bar area is filled with windows (love). It was a sunny day, the blinds were closed, but it was still bright without being distracting. There were many tables in the dining room, but we sat at the bar. Many TV's throughout - with great crystal clear pictures- this would be a great place to watch sports. There was a wonderful fireplace, which gave it a cozy feeling. There was a juke box (a MUST for me to be truly satisfied!!) and the bartender knew how to make a "wedding cake martini." - so it was shaping up to take the lead for my 'new favorite bar.' Then the food arrived . John had mussels in white sauce - which he said was excellent. One feature that I love about the Jamison Pour House is that you can mix and match (half of one sandwich, half of another) your pub sandwiches for a buck extra. I had half the porchetta - slow roasted pork with provolone and peppers and half roast beef w/ provolone. John had half roast beef and half cheesesteak. We split fries, and the fries were crispy and hot and seasoned just right! The sandwiches were fabulous and they are known for their porchetta and now I know why! Beer tasted flat, food and menu is way below average and liquor is over priced.... Ordered a burger medium with fries, and it came out well done without fries..... fryer wasn't working. It took 30 minutes for the meal to come out so I ate half of it since I was hungry and didnt want to wait any longer. The menu is very limited. For a "pour house" or "irish pub" nothing seemed original or even worth ordering. Only food you can order is something that you are looking to fill you up versus something you want to eat. Since the beer on tap tasted flat, I switched to a double Capt and Coke. Didn't realize that a double cost $9.50. I could have gotten one for less in old city. Not to mention that the limes were not fresh or even kept on ice. Worst Saturday night in a very, very, very long time! BUYER BEWARE! Order wisely! read more

Called ahead and was told a few minutes wait. Got there and told the same. 1 hour later, we were seated. The place is EXTREMELY noisy and overcrowded. Ordered the prime rib, which I heard was a specialty Friday through Sunday. I am always looking for a good prime rib - ordered Medium Rare and received a completely dried out, overcooked well done piece of meat - probably reheated - horrible. No one else in our party was raving about their meals either. The kicker was the bill - $12.00 for a pitcher of Coors light (!) and $7.50 for a 1/2 full glass of not so good Pinot Grigio. In summary, not a bad atmosphere, but the so-so food and high prices means that even though we live a few minutes away, we will never go back here again. it's all hit or miss. the food and the service. I wanted so badly to like this place and be a regular, but I just haven't found anything on the menu that I love. Also, the porchetta sandwich is not like other porchetta sandwiches that I've had before. this one seems like oven roasted and the pork is pulled. The pulled pork seemed like its briefly soaked in its own juices before hitting the bread. I prefer the traditional porchetta sandwiches that are roasted on a rotisserie with spices and sliced for the sandwich. Their entrees are only served after 4pm. read more

My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and had driven past here many times, but didn't find its appearance too appealing so we never went in. It wasn't until recently that we decided we just wanted to have a low key night and stop here because this was the closest pub to our house. Glad we did! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were super friendly and we just decided to munch on bar food and we loved it! I had the crab mac and cheese and my bf had the wings. Both were delicious. We have been back twice and are now obsessed with the fried grilled cheese.... so amazing. Looks like Jamison Pub is going to be closing/turning into "Just Sports". Which I find pretty funny because Just Sports opened up about a year ago further down York Rd and then closed about 6 month later. Soncini's took over and is still running a bar there. read more
