Ham Ham and Swiss Club with Tater Tots
    Ae S.

Second time going. Again greeted at the door with pleasant hostesses! Seated right away with the waitress arriving soon after we were seated. She took our beverage order and asked if we would also like water. After returning with the water we gave her our order. One meal Cajun Chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries the other Ham & Swiss club with tater tots with a starter Tempura Green Beans (since they were so good the first time we visited.) Our adult beverages arrived yet the "mixed" beverage was not very good; it was more ice than anything and not very flavorful. It tasted more like coconut crushed ice water. And it was not cheap missing the mark. The Cajun Chicken was not very Cajun it seemed like it was an afterthought- seasoning sprinkled after it was cooked. The Bacon was delicious and flavorful which when eaten with the bite over powered the flavor of the chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy, however not the Cajun flavor I was seeking. Possibly add a spicy mayo or sauce. The sweet potato fries were good, hot and delicious. The Ham & Swiss Club was good and tots were crispy on the outside yet soft and fluffy in the middle. With all the TV'S on and a pretty big crowd it wasn't really loud until a bar patron started getting loud over a game, but someone (think it was an employee or bar tender) asked him to bring it down. After that it was back to the moderate atmosphere. Not too loud for the number of people in the restaurant. We will be back to try something else on the menu!

Another bar for good sports and watching people get blitzed on and off field. It has drinks plus all the typical pub food like burgers and pretzels. Jameson's is a place for an okay time. Has lots of TVs with games and other fun action. The service is kind of slow. It has a cool ass name and it pretty much asks you to get a shot of Ireland's best. Probably the only thing seriously cool here. The place is filled with loudmouths and service is extremely slow at times. Coming here with some buddies we definitely got liquored up and had a few bites to munch on. Jameson was the liquor of choice of course and this ended up being the best part. It's $6.50 for a pour but you won't get a lot. The food is typical. A Hot Soft Pretzel is about the best thing here. It's $8 for a pretty big one. This one tasted kind of stale. Other food options aren't any better. There's meaty stuff for most of this. Good name for a bar. It makes it easy to choose a cocktail. The food isn't worth paying because it's even more of a poor value.

The food is always a hit here! This time my husband and I tried new things. We got the nachos with grilled chicken, which didn't look all that great but we're absolutely amazing. Also we got traditional wings, half bbq and half Parmesan garlic, yum! It was busy when we almost done, so towards the end of our meal, it did take our server awhile to get to us.

Today we ordered a maple bacon milkshake, peanut butter milkshake, 1/4 pound grilled cheese burger on toast, 1/2 pound New Orleans burger and a shareable basket of parmesan truffle fries. Let's start with the positives, the shakes were well made and not overwhelmingly sweet and we liked that a lot. My husband's 1/2 pound burger seemed a little small and my grilled cheese burger said it would be on Texas toast but it seemed like it was sourdough bread and not really thick cut like Texas toast should be. I was looking forward to eating here because the pictures of the fries online looked long and thick cut, the basket of fries we got didn't look like that at all and lacked Parmesan cheese. The negative experience was the fact the water tasted weird. I took one sip and tasted a weird chemical taste but my husband and I didn't complain, we just paid and left. I don't know if it was the water or the cup but it definitely had a weird taste. Overall, the experience was ok. I think we had higher expectations seeing all the pictures online. The name of the place threw us both off because we thought it was a Latino owned burger joint with a Mexican twist but that wasn't the case at all.

The waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive without hovering. We started with drinks: blueberry mojitos and sangria. Both were fantastic. The flavors were perfectly balanced, refreshing, and it was clear they were made with real care and attention, not just poured and sent out. For appetizers, we ordered the chips with guacamole and salsa. We weren't expecting the chips to come out hot and clearly fresh from the fryer, but wow, perfectly crisp with just the right amount of salt. The guacamole tasted fresh and clean, and the salsa had a great balance of heat and flavor without overpowering anything. I ordered the birria tacos, and they were outstanding. The meat was incredibly well seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell when food is prepared by someone who truly cares about what they're making, those kinds of flavors can't be faked. The Cobb salad was equally impressive: fresh ingredients, a perfect portion size, moist chicken, and a dressing that tied everything together beautifully. One of the nicest surprises was learning that Urban Kitchen supports the community through Meals on Wheels. It's always great to enjoy a meal knowing the restaurant gives back. The only downside? We live six hours away. That said, we will absolutely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

My husband found this old school restaurant that was established in 1933 with high Google ratings…read morethat was conveniently located on the way to the Rialto Theatre where we were headed for a concert. So we tried it. Merichka's serves good food with good service in a non-fancy kind of restaurant. It has various dining areas and a small bar. The room we sat in was nondescript with not one decoration on the walls. The multiple ceiling fans were running so I froze all throughout dinner. I didn't get our server's name, but she provided good service and was engaging. She always came back to check on us. The other staff we encountered was thorough in delivering food and removing dirty plates. We started with cocktails, a bourbon neat for him and an old-fashioned for me. My husband enjoyed his bourbon, however my old-fashioned was Wisconsin style which I didn't enjoy. We shared the mushrooms as a starter - I have to admit they were perfection! The portion was generous and the crust was perfectly crispy without being greasy. I think we missed the boat, though, because we didn't order the onion rings, which looked sensational. Dinners come with a relish tray and a couple sides. The relish tray had cottage cheese, a bean salad and a pasta salad. Again, generous in size. My hubby had a steak with fried shrimp for dinner and his sides were a salad and twice baked potato. He ordered the steak rare because he didn't trust that it would be cooked to medium rare. He was right to go rare because it came out a little pink. I opted for the baked cod for dinner with a salad and twice baked potato. My cod was 12oz and was moist and flaky. I didn't even put a dent in my dinner because I was full from the mushrooms and relish tray. We ended up bringing most of our entrees home. I'm glad we tried this restaurant out, but honestly even though the food was decent, I didn't enjoy the bare bones atmosphere and being uncomfortable throughout dinner because the fans were on. If you like a supper club without the frills, I think you would like this place.
