I am so happy today after Melendez Tree Service completed their work, trimming and skinning my palm…read moretrees. Before laying down all new mulch, I wanted to clean up the trees. When Luis Melendez arrived, he did so with a huge chipper machine and a huge box truck to haul away other refuse. In addition he arrived himself and three other men. I assumed there would be only two but three was a great idea. The men proceeded to the backyard where they received their directive from the boss, Luis and began without question. Owner Luis Melendez personally trained this and his other teams out on the jobs in the field. Mr. Luis Melendez had everything and everyone under control and on schedule. He watched to make sure all men were proceeding safely and they already knew not to step on my ground plants. He also inspected every phase of them trimming three different type of palms and added any spontaneous comments to his men while working. Whereas I thought the skinning process was done by machine, it was actually done one by one and layer after layer on the trunks of the trees. His men were careful and diligent in their mission. What a site to watch them using a chain saw, a hand saw and utility knives to create an artistic pattern of the rings of the tree as it had grown. All is so well done and a pleasure to view. Luis M. also told me the exact names of each different palm and that different types of cutting are often required. Before dropping palm leaves which are quite long and heavy, they had spread a tarp on my patio to protect it. They picked up all the palm leaves, the many skins, raked the grounds and swept the refuse. The patio was left clean. I did not have to do anything.The Team was finished with all the trees and trunks in one hour.You would not know any work had taken place except for the beautifully clean and elegant palms which will contribute to the a lovely look for my backyard. This is the type of contractor with whom I prefer to deal. Mr. Melendez; from the beginning, was courteous and professional.I would recommend him highly and surely call on him again for more service.
