They're really more of a 2.5 star joint, but we still can't do half stars yet... Right between Chipotle and Genghis Grill, this location makes it convenient if you're not going into Tucson Mall. Too bad the employees lack life--inefficient automatons or indifferent zombies, I can't quite decide... Their biggest problem is the consistency. Sometimes the smoothie will be good and sometimes it will be blah. If I'm in the area, I will hit up the Jamba Juice in the mall across the street rather than go to this one. The smoothies are still good if you're okay with the occasional pockets with more of one flavor than another (pockets of strawberries, pockets of banana, pockets of apple juice) in your smoothie and the recurrent chunks at the end. Jamba Juice, sat in my car, placed an order for one of their smoothies, I waited a few minutes, although it said that it would be about 11 minutes before it was ready, but it didn't look like anyone was in there, so I just went in. Between the time I ordered it and when I walked in, had to have been about four or five minutes. I get there. I give him my name. He opens their little fridge or freezer thing, pulls my drink out, hands it to me and I leave. I'm a good two minutes away, and I drink it and it's just almost straight juice like it melted to juice. Today was my second time at this particular Jamba Juice in the last two months. Both times I was notified that they were out of vital smoothie ingredients (last time it was strawberries, pineapples, and most of the sherbets, this time it was fresh strawberries). Both times employees were relatively accommodating with substitutions. The inside looks neglected. The person with me commented "It looks like the owner abandon this store and nobody told the employees." The floor was dirty, it clearly had not been swept in a while. The arrows on the floor (for Covid reasons) are made of duct tape and are absolutely filthy, they need to be removed and redone. A restroom is not available. The wooden facade of the counter is chipped and worn and should be redone. The intake vents were hanging off the ceiling like they were not screwed in all the way. Finally, I was able to inspect the certificates on the left side of the shop and I noticed that the Pima County License to Operate expired in August of 2019! I was able to notice all of this because the service was incredibly slow. The employees were visibly frustrated with the missing ingredients and with each other. I know that they were understaffed and one person was in training. I could see a stack of used blender pitchers 4 feet high. With just the two employees they could not keep up with in store customers and door dash. The smoothie was good, but I would be embarrassed as the business owner if that were the state of my store. The interior clearly needs attention and the employees could do with more training, more help, or better management. read more

We pre ordered drinks online and when we arrived, they did not have one of the drinks we ordered. I asked for a refund and the worker said she didn't know how. I asked if there was someone who could and they said she was on vacation. I asked if they could call someone who could refund my money and they said they were told not to disturb anyone. I definitely felt it was them not wanting to take the time to do it. After I finally just ordered another smoothie, I left and a woman was sitting outside (she was inside during my attempt to get a refund and heard the whole thing) who told me she was a manager at another Jamba and that they could've absolutely given me a refund and they were choosing not to. I wrote to management but I never received a response - he or she must still be on vacation and not wanting to be disturbed. Tropical Smoothie has become our go-to. read more

There's a better and cheaper new smoothie place nearby here... It's at about 4240 N 1st Ave, on the East side of the road right next to the big new gym, and is called "Smoothe Factory". I used to love Jamba, but then they emailed me a birthday coupon to get a 16 oz smoothie for $2... I go in there with the email on my phone and they say it needs to be printed out. WHY? Pulling up the email on your phone is actually MORE secure and proves that you were actually probably emailed it, whereas anyone can print anything. Because of their stupidity, I'm officially done with Jamba Juice. Plus, this new Smoothie Factory is super good! My first smoothie tasted a little better than the Jamba smoothie's I've had! And I'm not saying that because I'm bitter.. I think it seriously tastes a little better. Plus, $4.70 at Smoothie factory gets you a 20 oz... When I bought a gift card I was supposed to get a free jamba juice, but the employee "forgot" and charged it to me, so she printed out a receipt for me. Little did I know it had an expiration date (which she failed to tell me) and so when I went to use the voucher it had expired. So twice the same employee screwed me out of the jamba juice. She supposedly asked the manager in back, but they didn't have the "code" to allow me to get it. Really??? If you wanted to help the customer, I can think of many ways around the "code" if it even exists. This is the second time I've had issues with this location.
