When I first arrived there was a long line of customers in line waiting to order. Thankfully 5 minutes later showed up a cashier, that clearly looked like he hated his job. Finally I made it to the front placed my order.. and my total came to about $23. I went to pay with a $100.. and was rudely told they didn't take $100. And if I Wanted to I could go next door. Cleary I wasn't going to do that.. I paid card. And waited for the cashier to sort threw what was about 10 receipts to find mine. Off to the waiting line I went. as I continued to wait for my drinks. The same cashier that took my order. Left the register and the line began again. He was walking around slamming dishes and walking around with his pants half ass.. all in all finally got my drinks and bolted out the door... it's truely sad because I used to visit this place quite often 6 months ago... and with today's visit it might be another 6 until I return. read more

Tragedy struck this morning: as I walked through the parking lot arms loaded with two smoothies and some steel cut oats, I dropped one of my smoothies in the parking lot. The impact created a massive juice explosion (my sandals are now permanently pomegranate flavored) Went back in with a long face and Charlotte, the wizard behind the blenders, was quick to offer me a new one at no cost. I really like Jamba Juice in general, but I'm not a fan of this particular store. The workers are disorganized and can't handle anything more than 2 orders at a time---not common on a weekend morning. You end up waiting quite a while for anything you order. Also, I guess not all Jambas get the same citrus juicers. I like the nice big automatic ones that get a lot of juice from each orange. I don't mind a bit of pulp, but I don't want my juice to be more of a choking hazard than bubble tea. Well, this store has a manual juicer and I got mostly pulp for close to $4. Great...I could have bought more oranges at the store and chewed my way through them in less time. read more

I'd had almost given up on Jamba Juice (read my earlier review of another location) until this week. I went to the one on El Monte in Mountain View and it was delightful. No kidding, I was delighted by the friendly girl that took my order and the other friendly girl that presented me with my Mango-A-Go-Go. I've been ordering this drink for years and I know how it's supposed to taste. They made it correctly and it was perfect. Thanks for doing such a great job Mountain View Jamba Juice. Perhaps you should give lessons to the Jamba Juice at 3990 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. They desperately need your help. read more

For Jamba Juice, I'd say averege, maybe slightly better than averege at best. I am quite fond of both Carribean Passion and the Aloha Pineapple. The smoothies are all blended well, rarely is there chunks floating around, which is just when the blender misses it. The staff here are rather friendly, but they often mess up the sizes, as on a recent trip, my sixteen became a power. Oh well, I wouldn't want to waste it. Wish they would set up shop on the East Coast. read more

I'd just gotten done with the dentist today who took out some sutures and told me that I was now ok to start eating / drinking the things I've been missing for the last few weeks. On my way back home on El Camino, I spotted this Jamba Juice and made it my inaugural food experience. Jamba Juices are pretty much all the same, so I'm basing this review on the staff and my smoothie. There was one girl working this morning and she was super friendly and attentive. I'm always impressed when one person can efficiently run an entire store since I've been to some Jamba Juice locations where I was ignored or treated poorly be a staff of four or more! If you want fresh fruit juices (Orange/carrot) do not go after 7:00 PM (even though the store is open until 8:30 PM). They will say they have cleaned the machine and will not be able to make fresh juices anymore. read more

I love Jamba Juice don't get me wrong. I just don't love this one. Every time I've been, I've consistently gotten ice. I've gotten what looks like a smoothie, but tastes like ice. I don't know why, but when they make my favorite pink star, all I get is ice. Nothing else. I love Jamba Juice, just not this place. On a slow day, this is a good Jamba Juice w/ great customer service. However, avoid it during normal lunch hour. Half of the staff clearly doesn't know how to handle pressure and maintain quality customer service at the same time. My kids love Jamba Juice and it's a treat I can give that I usually feel good about. However, this evening I placed an online order for the same All Fruit Smoothie my daughter always gets and their carelessness or poor food safety methods led to my daughter having an anaphylactic reaction that required her to need her Epipen for the first time ever and a trip to Urgent Care. When my husband notified them about what happened, they responded that we should have notified them about her allergies when ordering because they have "protocols" for patrons with food allergies. 1) I typically do notify places of her allergies, but there was no where to indicate that on the online order. 2) She has had the same smoothie from there many times without any problems so I did not anticipate a problem this time. 3) Their Online description of the smoothie I ordered says Non-Dairy and does not have any warnings about "possible trace amounts of dairy" or about notifying them of food allergies. If it says non-dairy, it should be safe for someone with a dairy allergy to order. Fortunately my daughter is ok, but they need to be more careful because things could have ended very differently if we didn't have an epipen or get her medical attention and treatment as quickly as we did! read more

Sad how 1 cashier can make you have an awful expirience. I came it for an online order pick-up. The cashier (young girl short dark hair with braces) very sassy from the beginning. She asked what drinks I ordered, I told her one by one then she walked away telling me they'll be with you as she walked away. Then with her cash register in one hand, held my 5 drinks on a tray on her other hand she slod the tray on the counter and said "here you go!" as 2 drinks fell from the tray and almost spilled out it spattered on the counter and pushed them back in the tray and walked away...really no sorry?. I come here regularly particularly because it is closest to where I work. And I only have an hour for lunch, today I came in before the rush there was one other person ahead of me and I ordered the chunky strawberry bowl. I figured my bowl would be put to priority since I had ordered first but there were two people on the cash register and one person on the floor making the drinks. Not only was the person making the drinks obviously not experienced and took her at least 7 minutes to make one single drink but my bowl hadn't even been started until he whole line at the register had been finished. This has issue has happened twice now and I am aggravated for this to be the second time this has happened. This location is so unprofessional and the employees do not realize that people can not wait half an hour and 5 orders behind to wait for their simple bowl that should have taken at most 10 minutes to prepare. read more

I gave this location a second chance after previously coming here and getting promptly kicked out for coming 15 minutes before closing (the door was open and it was before closing time). Nonetheless, I chose to give it a second chance. After waiting 5 minutes in line, one of the employees chose to take her 10 minute break leaving the store short staffed while a dozen people were in line. We ordered our three drinks. The girl who rang us up was very terse, no personality or courtesy. When asking for the name for the order, she simply blurted out "Name." Somewhat surprised, we paid and waited for our drinks. The girl who gave us our drinks, who also was lacking personality, called out our drink order, " mega mango, orange dream machine, and whatever this is (referencing to berry upbeat)." Terrible experience. I understand people have bad days but, have a little courtesy when dealing with customers is necessary. Won't be back. read more

This is my recent experience at the El Monte location. One employee really worth commending from our recent experience: Lilly. She offered us the Best customer service I have ever seen at any Jamba Juice. Extremely patient and explains everything clearly and carefully. Even when her coworker (i.e. manager-boss) was rough and tough towards the customers (e.g. us), banging cups around when making drinks, Lilly was unaffected by the adverse working condition and kept her cool. read more

My visit at this location today was terrible. I usually come here after work and especially on a hot day. I work at a restaurant, so I understand how it feels to be both the customer and the employee. I ordered a flatbread and the cashier told me they didn't have it; only because she couldn't find it on the register. Eventually she found it! Also I ordered a smoothie of Course. I got the flatbread first and it surprisingly came out of the oven very quick this time. When I bit into it the chicken was still cold. I nicely asked Rogelio if he could warm it up again. He seemed annoyed, but still put it in the oven one more time for me. When I got the flatbread the second time it was already burned, and I didn't want to complain again. They all seemed very busy and stressed out, so I was trying to be understandable. My drink was sitting in the blender for a while and wouldn't be surprised if he purposely did that because he was already annoyed with me. Eventually he gave it and I left without saying anything. In the future I will try and avoid this location. Employees need to learn to treat guests nicely even under pressure. Wonder how they deal with really aggressive customers... I guess being nice doesn't help! read more

Just had an excellent customer service moment! I had preordered a bunch of smoothies for my son's basketball game for Saturday morning pick up. When I arrived, they weren't ready. Without even a second thought, the manager said "it's on me." Wow! Instead of complaining to all the parents at the game ... I was singin' JJ's praises. BTW you can order 16 oz smoothies and have them served in 8oz containers for a larger group ... worked great and the kids loved it!!! Thank you Jamba Juice! read more

This store never honors coupons that you get on the Jamba Juice website. This is my second experience with a coupon. Today's coupon clearly said that it applied to 'ANY' classic smoothie. But the guy at the counter insisted that it applied only to the two pictured on the coupon. As if they could have put photos of them all or as if 'ANY' meant only the two shown. RUDE & DUMB STAFF I had a bad experience with this location over a year ago and I had sworn to not back here and always visited other near by Jamba Juices. The staff never smiled at any of their customers and were rude. Today, I was in a hurry to get to my 1:30 meeting and so decided to go to this location hoping staff has changed, service has improved, etc....but alas, I was pissed off again. Here is what happened: I told my collegue that I was going to Jamba Juice and he requested that I pick up a smoothie for him as well. Now, I printed a coupon, that my friend had told me about, which would get you a 16 oz smoothie for a buck if you were to buy any smoothie for the regular price. She had told me that you can get as many regular smoothies, and the JJ she went to gave her a 16 oz smoothie for a buck for each of them. Ok, so you now have the context. I tell the staff that I've this coupon (which I printed) and that I'd like to get 2 smoothies for the regular price and wanted to confirm if I can get 2 16 oz smoothies for a buck each with the coupon. One of the guys (who appeared to be the manager) said quite rudely actually, "No, you can only have 1 per transaction." So, I asked if I can create two different transactions as the second regular smoothie is for my collegue. The guy said, "You friend will need to be here for that." What??? I'm really pissed, but in the interest of time I decide to brush that off and go on with my order although I say to myself that these people are not getting my business ever again. I get an original size Strawberry energizer for $5 and Mango-go-go original for $4.40 and with the 16oz smotthie for a buck, that would make the total, $10.40. I quickly did the math in my head. Now the person at the cash register says I've to pay $10.70. When I explained the math and asked why am I being charged .30 more, she said there is nothing she can do about it as the computer is doing it that way. The woman explains to a guy next to her, "The total is $10.70 and she says she should be paying $10.40, basically she doesn't want to pay 30 cents...." (I'm really annoyed by now) The guy jumps and tries to do some manipulation but isn't able (neither of them is able to figure the Math - might want to attend that Math class, you've been missing, uh?) so he says in a very patronizing manner that he'll cover the 30 cents. By this time, I'm extremely pissed off at the entire staff...but I just say that it doesn't matter, you don't have to cover the 30 cents for me, I'll pay $10.70. The smoothies were ready while they were trying to figure the math out and I hadn't even paid for it by then, so I decided to pay whatever that the "computer" was telling them and just get the hell out of there. BOTTOMLINE: all Jamba Juices offer the same moothies, but not all of them offer a pleasant experience to their customers and strive to keep their business. This Jamba Juice on El Monte definitely has rude and dumb staff, so skip this place and go to a different location for a pleasant customer service, speaking of which I highly recommend the JJ in Sunnyvale opposite Palm and pretty much all the ones in San Jose, all these have sensible managers and staff. read more

I place my order of two drinks at 2:33pm today. The guy doesn't tell me the total and just swipes the card. When I ask for the receipt he is clearly unhappy. The three people working there looked like they just saw the dead. Orders come out slow and two people ahead of me. Three more after me and they get their order slow and leave. I wait. Now 2:50pm still no. No interaction among staff. They move about as if they are in a graveyard. No expressions. I ask for my order. Apparently my order of just 2 small drinks were just waiting to be cupped! Ha! This is the first bad experience here though. Get rid of these employees and pay attention to how you staff your team. I watched as the employees made two large smoothies and delivered them to a friend at the back of the line. At least twice a week you can catch me with a smoothie in hand. When I started work in Mountain View, I hoped for a smoothie place nearby for my lunch breaks and thankfully, there was Jamba Juice, less than 5 mins away. I tend to call in my order so as to not waste my short break time. Very first call in was early in the morning and the employee on the line was extremely friendly and very enthusiastic. It turned my morning around and put me in a good mood. My smoothie of course, was delicious as well. Every time I call or come in since that first call, they greet me by my first name, ask me how I am doing, and know what smoothie I usually order. For as small of a location they have, their staffs personalities and hard work keep the place running smoothly and the atmosphere welcoming and upbeat. read more
