This place has great boba. I just get classic milk tea when I'm here along with large honey boba. Service is very quick. They also have lots of snacks. Their popcorn chicken is quite good and they have all the spicy powders on the size that is essential for your popcorn chicken. Some indoor and some outdoor seating available. This Quickly has been around for five months, I was delighted to find a milk tea shop near the Safeway in the outdoor shopping mall on Miramonte Avenue in Mountain View. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Quickly is one of the earliest milk tea shops in California, I used to patronize them in Los Angeles when they first came out about twenty years ago. This shop offers a lot of different savory snacks to go along with your milk tea, including squid rings, popcorn chicken, various protein bowls, such as orange chicken rice bowl, eel rice bowl, and many varieties of savory food. There is seating both inside and outside. I came with a friend to hang out and we drank our milk teas. It was a nice breezy day, and we both enjoyed our teas. I've been here several times because I wanted to give the place the benefit of the doubt. The staff is always fast, polite, and welcoming, and the shop is consistently clean or being cleaned, which I really appreciate. My review is based solely on the drinks, as I haven't tried the food. Unfortunately, I've been disappointed with the drinks every time. I've ordered snow bubbles from many boba shops, so I have a good idea of what to expect. A smoothie should be fruit-based and creamy, a slushie should be flavored ice, and a snow bubble should have a fluffy shaved-ice texture that's usually creamier than a slushie. Here, though, the snow bubbles, smoothies, and slushies all seem to have the exact same texture and consistency. No matter what you order, it tastes like a sweet, icy slush. There's very little difference between the drinks, which defeats the purpose of having separate options on the menu. Another issue is the sweetness level. Even when ordering drinks at 25% sweetness, they still taste overwhelmingly sweet. It's disappointing because many of us come here hoping for that nostalgic boba shop experience, but the drinks just don't deliver. The staff and cleanliness are definitely positives, but based on the drinks alone, I'd recommend trying another boba spot in the area if you're looking for a true snow bubble, smoothie experience. read more

Noticed that there is a new boba shop in this plaza and stopped in because I saw the grand opening sign last week. Looked like they were still training their employees. Ordering is easy at the self serve kiosk, although there is no way to designate sweetness level. There were grand opening specials for as low as 99 cents (vietnamese coffee). The classic milk tea is 1.99 and tastes just like I remember from other Quickly shops. Location is clean and drinks came out quickly. We stopped by the New Quickly since we happened to be close by. The banner out front by their sign said, "Soft Opening 99 cents". However, when we went in, that was not the case. They should probably remove that sign unless they plan to honor that price. We looked at the menu and noticed they had a ton of drink offerings as well as food. It was very busy inside. We placed our order at the kiosk. I ordered the Cantaloupe fruit green tea ($4.99) with 25% sweetness and less ice. My husband ordered the piña colada smoothie ($6.50) with 25% sweetness. There were a few employees making the orders. It was so packed in there with people, that it was uncomfortable. Our order was not made quickly as their name claims. It took almost 15 minutes, which I thought was too long. I've been to many tea shops in the South Bay and none have ever taken more than 5 minutes. I think they may have just been inundated with too many orders. Once our order was ready we grabbed some straws and left. I noticed that my drink was not even cold and only had a few pieces of ice. The two pieces of ice melted by the time we got to our car which was less than 60 seconds. Don't order less ice if you want a cold tea, at this place! The taste of the cantaloupe tea was good and the level of sweetness was just right at 25%. The only issue I had is that it wasn't cold. I ended up putting in the fridge when I got home, to have later. My husband piña colada was very delicious but way too sweet for 25%. They don't seem to have their sweetness levels dialed in very well. Next time we will try zero sweetness for that one. The prices were very reasonable here and I would consider returning and ordering differently based on this experience. They do have indoor and outdoor seating inside. About a 2 star experience, but more lenient with soft opening sign. I was in the area and the soft opening sign with 99 cents caught my attention, so I decided to swing by. They seem to open at 11AM and I ordered around 11:45AM on a Wednesday. Only a few items still had the 99 cent deal. There was a self order kiosk but I opted to order with staff in front. Took awhile to see what was still 99 cents. I just opted for a green tea. I asked for boba, but they said it would take another 10 min or so, so just stuck with the tea. Weird to not have boba at peak time but sure, soft opening. It took quite some time for a simple green tea to come out. They did pump out a few food orders while I waited. I might have waited 7-8 min or so. For a drink to take less than 30 seconds to make, would have expected staff to prioritize more efficiently. The drink had some weird texture at the bottom, and I think it was the half sugar I ordered? Or I hope it was. Also, mini flag of it showing that staff doesn't actually mix the drink prior to pouring in the cup. Overall, not very impressed with no boba and slow turn around time for not much of a wait. Pricing does seem a bit cheaper than other boba shops in the bay. I could be open to trying it again in the future. Tea flavor was ok? Couldn't really tell since the sugar syrup clumps really threw it off. Easy parking in the plaza. read more

Busy during the weekends during soccer season, but quiet during the week when kids are still in class. The drinks were made to order. But what really set this apart were the snacks. While I appreciate the nostalgic taste, I don't think they're doing a good job bringing this brand back. Currently they are doing a soft opening so perhaps they can approve. Their current promotion is 99c drinks excluding toppings, but limited drink selections. Also no option to change sweetness or ice level. They have a larger snack selection but they make them to order which takes quite awhile; they should make them in larger batches because people will order them. The portion sizes are atrocious. Look at this tiny portion of octopus for $11. Also it was not crispy whatsoever. Also the workers were literally eating while preparing the food and I did not see them wash their hands or put on gloves before handling other people's food. My cup came with some grease from those greasy hands. I get you're busy and probably don't have time to take a lunch break but cmon man, let's not compromise hygiene. I would love to relive my childhood again but I think they need to get organized and make some real improvements, otherwise this revival attempt will be a flop. read more

Food was pretty good overall. Crispy items are honestly a bit hard to maintain in this cold weather, so that's understandable, it's cold asf but still enjoyable. This brand has multiple locations, and even though this isn't my usual go-to spot, the quality here was still solid. Big bonus: I really appreciate that the food was made hot and fresh, not just ready-to-go and sitting around like some other stores that lowkey sacrifice quality. I'd rather wait a bit and get fresh food any day. The $0.99 drink daily special was a big win and one of my favorites. I mean, it's $0.99 and it applies to all branches, so there's really nothing to complain about lol. Quickly is like phoenix being reborn from ashes. I thought it went away but it still lingers. Dropped by this newly opened location recently while we were in the same plaza having sandwich next door. I was exhilarated to see this "phoenix" as I thought this franchise was a goner. The eye-catching sales sign was posted outside for grand opening. I remember paying $1.50 for milk tea in the past many years at its Cupertino location before it was closed. Nostalgia hit hard so we stepped in hoping to reconnect with the good old time. Unfortunately it's not the same any more. Ordered taro milk tea, thai milk and green milk. While the small tapioca balls were easy to digest and fun to eat, drink tasted too sweet and artificial. Quality was by no means superb. That explained the lower price for sales items in grand opening. Drinks are pre-made, meaning no adjusting sugar level and they tend to be super sweet, as if type 2 diabetes is not a thing. Just because we ordered a couple of sales items (who doesn't like to save money?), it doesn't mean we deserve your as-slow-as-molasses service and as-sweet-as-molasses milk tea. There are tons of selections on menu giving off an impression of generic and ambition but lack of specialty. Not necessary a good thing. Tight space seating. Appeared chaotic. I've been here a couple of time to give it the benefit of the doubt but the food service has been really slow every single time and this location seems chronically short staffed. Today was a weekday and I arrived a little after 1PM. After standing in line to place my order via the lone kiosk (which is really inefficient with only 1 kiosk), it took another 30 mins for me to receive my popcorn chicken and fried oysters after placing my order. To add injury to my long wait, my oysters were overcooked. I want to keep coming back to this location as I like the snacks but it's just too darn slow. read more

LOVE quickly!! one of the OG boba spots that everyone remembers + adores. this place is brand new, probably about 2 weeks old? i went on the 1st day of the soft opening, and was not disappointed! the drinks were $.99, with toppings being an extra $.75 (but totally worth it). there was suchhhhh a long line, but also definitely worth waiting. understandably, there was/still is a limited menu for drinks, i assume because the baristas are so new and need time to train to make all the drinks for the full menu. there are also limited adjustments you can make to the drinks, as you can only order a regular/small size, and can't adjust the sugar level. this helps speed up the process for the baristas though, since they have so many drinks they need to make. admittedly, i only ever get the classic milk tea with boba because most modern/newer boba shops don't make a classic milk tea like quickly or tapioca express! they use a different tea, and quickly's tea recipe is so wonderfully nostalgic. it's not too sweet for me to the point where i wouldn't order the drink, but still a bit sweet. the boba pearls have not disappointed me a single time that i've gone (5 times i think?), whether it was the small pearls or large boba. the texture is so perfectly chewy, not over/undercooked at all. i'm super excited for them to be out of their soft opening phase!! looking forward to paying full price to order my typical large classic milk tea with double boba :) read more

I was initially excited that an old chain like Quickly was revived and given life in the Mountain View shopping plaza. After ordering their popcorn chicken, I was thoroughly disappointed and would recommend staying away from this item. Each piece of chicken had a rubbery texture and tasted old. As much as I wanted to enjoy a nostalgic snack, I was let down. I might give them a chance for their milk teas, but that will come at a later time. read more

Love that a new boba place opened here. Saw the discount and decided to try. I got the tiger thai tea as only some drinks on the menu are part of the discount. The tea sadly felt watered down The boba was chewy. I truly want the quickly team to make a decision on what comes next: keep discount and serve quality teas or discontinue discount and serve quality teas at full price. We tried here on opening day. Unfortunately they only have one station for you to input your order. So it only goes as fast as the customer can decide and then order. Once you have the order in, everything is processed quickly. We tried the popcorn chicken and Thai tea. Chicken was tasty but was a large bucket. The tea was good. The boba shop seemed fine when we walked in, and all drinks were 99 cents. We were very excited to try a new place close to home... but then the drinks arrived. They were too sweet, as the people there don't ask for sugar or ice level, and the tea tasted artificial. The boba had a weird metallic-like taste to it as well. Then, as if the taste wasn't bad enough, one of us felt something hard and looked down, and found that it was a bug! An actual fly. (We promise that this is a completely sincere and honest story.) This clearly shows that they do not care about quality or hygiene. In addition, the drinks were very small compared to other boba shops nearby, which would be fine as a small size, but we feel that multiple sizes offer more choice from person to person. They also have very limited seating, so we had to sit on a curb, which was a little uncomfortable. Even with the great deal for the soft opening, we still DO NOT RECOMMEND Quickly Boba. We suggest that you choose another boba shop, as many wonderful places in Mountain View make their boba by hand and care for their customers' well-being and happiness.
