I am on a 30 day no-sugar challenge, so decided to drop by. I ordered the Açaí blast with the whey protein booster. Extremely refreshing and delicious. Staff treated me with courtesy, and even made my size a large instead of a medium, due to the long wait. Lines are kind of long during lunch time, but the staff are already as efficient as they can be. For students the staff are very professional and quick to serve customers. IT'S OPENED! I'm glad that they finally opened up a Jamba Juice on campus! I visited it yesterday for the first time, and there was a good amount of people in line. I ordered a Strawberry Nirvana ($3.99) with a Daily Vitamin Boost. There were about 2-3 people making drinks, while one person manned the cash register. It took a while for me to receive my order, even though I only had a 16 oz. smoothie. I overheard other people saying that they waited a while to get their orders, but hey, when there are a lot of orders, there are long waits! When I first tried my smoothie, I immediately noticed a powdery taste. I'm guessing that they really wanted me to get my vitamins, because that drink was extremely boosted! Other Jamba Juices I've been to didn't have such a strong powder taste. And I know for a fact that there is way too much powder -- I tried my sister's order: a 16 oz. Berry Fulfilling smoothie. I tried a sip. Soooo powdery! It made the drink taste completely different! I think I'll have to come back here another time and try their drinks without boosts. Still, I think it's pretty decent to have a Jamba Juice on campus. They offer food here, so that's kind of cool. They don't accept Jamba Juice gift cards though. Sad day. Aw I don't know why this place has such a low rating. I think it's one of the better places in the student center. The workers are generally nice, the drinks taste fine to me, and it definitely moves faster than the Starbucks on campus. I also really like that they don't use the Styrofoam cups, but maybe all Jambas stopped doing that (I haven't been to another Jamba in forever). The only thing I don't like about this location is that, like most of the other food places on campus, it's a "licensed concept", meaning it has it's own rules and pricing, meaning slightly more expensive than "real" Jamba Juices and they don't accept gift cards, which is why I'm only giving it three stars. Apparently this Jamba Juice doesn't take $5 off coupons that say 'Good at any Jamba Juice in the nation' on the back because they're a franchise? And owned by the university? And, well, they just don't? I don't know either. For me, if the place says 'Jamba Juice' and the employees are wearing Jamba Juice hats and uniforms and the menu is the Jamba Juice menu, down to even the seasonal Jamba Juice specials (Pumpkin Spice for fall!) then I'd say it's a freaking Jamba Juice and needs to accept Jamba Juice coupons. Then they gave us a 16 oz Peanut Butter Moo'd instead of the 24 oz we ordered, and it tasted powdery and not like any Moo'd I have previously ordered over the last 5 years. I'm currently a 4th year at UCI and I've noticed that Jamba Juice never really gets a lot of traffic. I think I know why. It's always clean, so that's a plus. Drinks are made quickly as well, but that's a standard for Jambas. The workers are genuinely polite, but whenever I decide to go treat myself to some Jamba, they get my order wrong. The first time, they made my order light when I asked for a Large, and right now I'm sipping another wrong order of an entirely different flavor I asked for. i love jamba juice. i was so excited when i found out uci was having one, i was SO happy. however, they dont have the styrofoam cups here for environmental reasons so the drink melts too fast. In addition to my drinks melting too fast, they make it SO WATERY to begin with =/ i always ask for a thick blend, thinking i can avoid a watery drink, but 9/10 times i get some watery drink that continues to melt by the time i get to class.. .. Another thing about this place is that they are really inconsistent with their oatmeal. on some days it's not ready, on some days its dry, and on some days it's watered down. i gave up coming here and i'm going to the one on main instead.. .. which is obviously less convenient.. .. When you come to this Jamba Juice location, I think you just have to be realistic about what you're getting. It's located on a school campus, which almost always means that what you're getting is going to 1) seem/be a little overpriced, and 2) probably not as good as that smoothie maker you always see at the JJ at whatever mall you normally grace... I got the Orange Dream Machine the other day, asked for it to taste more "orange-y," and so the girl working kindly switched the normal frozen yogurt in the drink for frozen orange yogurt. There's a secret flavor called strawberry shortcake?? Anyway... I really didn't like this place the first time because the prices seemed more expensive. Second time around, I tried the oatmeal and was obsessed with steel cut oats for a while. Today? I ordered one 16 oz and one 22 oz smoothies. They messed up my order and charged me for two 22 oz. instead. Employees said they didn't know how to give me my money back so I either had to wait for the manager or accept a free smoothie the next time I came back. Apparently there are stamp cards from this Jamba location. You get an extra stamp if you buy smoothies after 5pm. I went for the free smoothie of course. I've never had a problem with my drinks. I am often pleasantly surprised by some of their staff who take the time to make my Acai Topper extra good by carefully cutting the bananas and laying them on top of the granola. Thank you smoothie artists! They also get your drink out FAST during heavy rushes. Definitely NOT the best Jamba location there is, but it's on school campus.. what do you expect? It's pretty inconsistent here, most days my drinks are more liquid-y than they're supposed to be.. but some days, the gods love me so that creamy thick texture returns. I always get Orange Berry Blitz @Jamba and it's crazy cause sometimes they give me an orange color drink and insist that it's what I ordered ... and I mean it makes sense... except for the fact that the drink is usually a deep purple berry color -_____- I hate the cups here since they're not made out of the usual jamba Styrofoam. It's just the regular paper cups and it's annoying cause it's all flimsy and cheap looking and I hate how it gets all wet when the drink starts to melt. Ugh. I guess it's more "green" ... but I'd rather have the styrofoam. It's also more expensive if you buy on campus -__- but WHY when the quality of the cups suck so much? All this is pretty annoying and all, but on that sweaty hot 80 degrees weather day at school, I'm glad we have this nowhere-near-perfect location right on campus. I really love Jamba Juice, but the prices here are pretty absurd. Plus, they don't actually use the real original size makes me feel like I'm missing out on more of my smoothie! It's probably just me, but hey! I also feel like an original size at Jamba Juice is just the same as the expensive Cha for Tea. I can get a cheaper vent drink at the Starbucks on campus for a $1 less! Personally, I think you should wait and make your money worth it by going out to an actual Jamba Juice retailer then coming here. I am sad. Normally my experience is fine, they are friendly and get my smoothie out very quickly. Yes, sometimes I feel like they do not empty the entire drink into the cup, I always see a lot left over in the blender, but that is not a big deal. But today. Ugh, I just am super unhappy. On a hot day, you think you'd be seeing people walking around campus with Jamba Juice. But nope, you see people walking around with Starbucks. This Jamba Juice location is alright. The employees are friendly, and your drinks are made quickly, but there's just something about this location that I don't really like. It really does suck that they don't accept the BOGO coupons :( WHY!?!? We're all college students here; we need to save money$$$!!! I'm not sure if it's because it seems that there's always new people working here, but the workers seem confused on how to take orders, what's available & what's out or not. Service is slow and gets slower when there's a lot of people, particularly in the afternoons. The smoothies usually aren't thoroughly blended and more often than not, there are chunks of fruit at the bottom of my cup. :( read more

Love the variety of smoothies, and the fact that I can incorporate vegetables into my smoothies without really tasting them. I enjoy having a jamba juice on campus but their are better jamba juices off campus. Sometimes they make the smoothies like they are supposed to, but more often then not there is something a little off about it. For some people it may not be a big deal but me personally I order the same 1-2 things every time. So I know how it is supposed to taste and I like having it taste how it is supposed to. I think this location also has more expensive prices than the regular jamba juice off campus. read more

Took them long enough to open. I noticed that they use paper cups instead of the regular styrofoam ones. Makes me sad because the viscosity of my smoothie went downhill fast. Very friendly workers and they have meal deals! Which are great especially since it's located on campus. The actual taste and texture of the drinks are consistent I'd say, but I noticed that when there is a busy line, the employees making the drinks work very fast and oftentimes don't fill the cup all the way. Also, if you order berry toppers here like I always do, they never blend the strawberries all the way, so there would be large chunks of frozen fruit inside. :( If it's busy, they also won't process your berry topper in the order that you ordered it. I feel it's because drinks are faster to make and berry toppers take some time (gotta cut the banana and whatever). Regardless of what the reason is, it's not fair!! :( lol read more
