I was in the mood for something light and refreshing. I could tell it was gonna be another warm and sunny day in OC. This was my first time browsing through the shopping center, and thankfully this place was open early. One worker came out and told me that it was a self serve platform with the do it yourself ordering kiosk and after browsing the menu I came across what I ultimately came for which was an açaí smoothie. The inside of the store was spotless very clean well maintained, and I forgot to mention this in the beginning, but there is plenty of free parking after a few minutes. My smoothie was ready and it was absolutely amazing refreshing and full of all the good stuff to keep me, satisfied and motivated to complete my workday. I guess it's normal now for smoothies to cost anywhere between $10-$15. I remember growing up smoothies were half that price but hey, it is what it is. read more

Tried their São Paulo açaí build-your-own bowl for the first time and went with the mini size. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the açaí flavor, so I'll have to come back and try some of the other options. Ordering is done through two self-service kiosks. Located in the Corona del Mar Plaza, this Acai Republic is located in a prime spot. I prefer to order via the app prior to arriving as it can get busy despite having an ordering kiosk. The staff here is always friendly, and the food is always amazing. My go-to is a customised Cali Bowl. I also like their outdoor seating area. On a nice warm day, it is refreshing to enjoy an acai bowl while being outside, especially with my dog. Small spot with no indoor seating that I noticed, but there's plenty of patio space to enjoy your bowl. I don't remember which acai I got, but it was phenomenal. The topping selection is huge-just be aware that many come with a $1 upcharge, so it's a bit pricier than other acai spots. When we came in, the cashier went up to us and introduced the Acai Republic concept, including its Brazilian origins and an explanation of the fruits used in the bowls. They have a touch screen where you can view the product and select what you want (I personally love this, since this makes it easier to know what I'll be getting). Do note that they are a cashless restaurant. We opted for two large Cali bowls, and we were blown away by how fresh the fruit was! They have two small tables to eat at inside, but plentiful seating outside (where you can feel the nice ocean breeze). Parking is also really smooth here. Good açaí but this location is way too inconsistent. As a regular I can tell you sometimes I get too much granola, sometimes barely any. Sometimes too many blueberries, sometimes too much banana. Sometimes a lot of nut butter, sometimes barely any. You just never know what you're going to get. I would really like a consistent açaí bowl please since I order the exact same thing everytime. read more

Food is good but service; I went tonight (10/09) at 7:45p because they supposed to close at 8p and the guy was already cleaning, fixing tables and with the "closed" sign. I get it, they want to leave ASAP but they have to respect their own instructions on the website. I checked on Google for locations and times, they had closing time "8p" so I expected 8p. unfortunately, this was the middest acai place i have been to in awhile. i was looking forward to it because of the high reviews, but the quality of the acai was not good and the service was dismal. our order took 20 minutes to make when there was no one else in the store. the madly mango smoothie was decent, but everything overall was too overpriced in my opinion. i cannot recommend acai republic and would actually suggest finding another reputable acai/juice place. read more

First time trying an açaí bowl! Went to the Newport location and I ordered the Cali bowl and it was soooo good. It came with pieces of banana, pineapple, mango, and strawberries on top of coconut shavings and granola. The different fruit toppings alongside the coconut shavings and granola with the base of açaí and other fruits complimented each other. Aside from the bowl itself, the staff there were very nice and patient as I looked at the menu for a bit because it was my first time. I'd definitely go again and I love açaí bowls now! read more

Beware, there is a $1.50 up charge for splitting servings that I was not made aware of until I looked at my receipt. The acai itself wasn't anything too special, nothing mind-blowing. The mango on top of my bowl wasn't fresh, it tasted a bit bland and was dry, which was a letdown. My bowl also came with coconut flakes, which was a nice touch. I didn't know there were extra topping options until after we ordered. Luckily the staff let us add additional toppings for free. I got the Brazilian bowl which I thought came with strawberries but instead they told me it was mixed into the acai. I couldn't really tell as the acai tasted like it would it I ordered elsewhere but I do like the texture of this acai. I really like the frozen acai textures. Ordered online and unfortunately cannot call the store to tell them what happened and am not able to email them about what happened as their website isn't working for me. My bf and I ordered online and when it got delivered they mixed up our orders and put peanut butter and almond butter in my bowl instead of my boyfriend's. I have a mild nut allergy and usually I don't have this issue but unfortunately because of the employee who wasn't paying attention, my bowl had to be completely thrown away. Im making this just so that the business is aware. I understand mistakes happen but these bowls aren't cheap and many people have a nut allergy so that should've been double checked before putting it into the bowl. read more

My husband and I did not enjoy our juices but my sons Acai bowl was delicious! A large bowl filled him all day, much more generous than other chains, a great value as it is an entire meal. Service was wonderful, so friendly and helpful, you feel very welcome here. We had an assortment of their juices and I just really disliked the consistency of them. Flavorwise they were fine, though I disliked the Mr Green so much I wound up throwing it away. It seems like veggies are just blended and not juiced, not very easy to drink that way.
