32 oz Peace bowl- YUM
Tiffany A.

Okay, I must say - Sejuiced's matcha latte is my absolute favorite matcha I've had to date! It has chlorella in it which made me a little hesitant- but somehow I think that's their secret ingredient. It is SO GOOD. I can't wait for my next latte. I recently tried their acai bowl which was huge if you get the 32 oz. It was tough to eat between 2 people! We had to save some as leftovers. They really don't skimp on toppings or granola.

I really liked my beet juice and I hope it's so good because I bought it eight days ago, if I die, this is why It's a small store in Corona Del Mar and it's really cute. I bought a piece of gluten-free cake and three juices and I just drink them tonight so I hope I'm still alive tomorrow because it was eight days ago.

Great spot!

The peace bowl was Super good I highly recommend it!! And the service was amazing they gave me a free juice.

SeJuiced? Like Seduced? What a cute name! My boyfriend and I were at Sherman Gardens and Library nearby, and decided to be adventurous and wander around the area. We wanted something cool and refreshing so we decided to get some smoothies. I really love the vibes of this business. They were immediately welcoming and friendly. They had a sign about their mission to give back and donate to local charities and work to promote reducing waste. I sincerely respect their business model. While we were going over the menu, they offered us samples of their Soul Mate juice ($12.75/bottle). The sample amount was very generous and refreshing. I loved it. It has beets, lemon, orange, ginger, apple, turmeric. The balance was perfect and it had all of the notes I enjoy in a drink. I will definitely come back for this next time. We were in the mood for smoothies and we both wanted the Blue Vitality ($16/large) so we decided to get the large size and share. The cashier kindly offered to split this into two cups for us. Wow SO NICE! We took them up on that offer. This blue vitality had banana, pineapple, blue spirulina, maca, msm, probiotics, date, and coconut milk. Very creamy and banana-y. I liked it. Great spot for juices and smoothies in the area. It's just super pricey, but I'm sure their rent must be expensive being so close to the beach. I would definitely want to get a full size of their soul mate juice in the future. Until next time!

Was craving a smoothie/fruit/açaí and this hit the spot!!! So fresh and delicious. The store is pretty quaint and unfortunately had to wait quite a bit so I recommend ordering ahead if possible.

Day 1: superfood juice cleanse

Hands down my most favorite juice cleanse! Just finished the three day superfood juice cleanse and I am feeling incredible! Every single juice was delicious and all the food was fresh and tasted amazing! I honestly can not believe how much energy I had through out the day. I was still able to run and weight lift. Though weight loss was not my intended goal I did drop three pounds and feel less bloated and puffy all around. Thank you Kelly and Sejuiced Team!

Stopped in to get a smoothie! Really small place, very friendly workers. Hands down one of the best smoothies I have gotten! Yummy!

Talk about above and beyond! Lark was absolutely amazing! Not only did she take great care of me, but she also caught that one of the items I ordered had coconut (which I'm allergic to) and proactively adjusted it. So thoughtful and kind! Everything here is always delicious, but it's the incredibly sweet and attentive staff like Lark that make this place truly special. Thank you again, Lark!

Need a cool treat in Newport Beach? Sejuiced provides a refreshing option with their smoothies and açaí bowl. In addition, they give a free aloe shot if you check in on Yelp! I ordered the Peace Bowl that usually comes with açaí or pitaya (dragon fruit). However, I was able to do half and half of each which made the açaí taste more tropical! The Peace Bowl was 24oz for about $12 - $13. That could be pricey for some but Newport Beach in general is more expensive so be aware. I felt refreshed after finishing my Peace Bowl. There could have been a bit more banana for my tastes but that might just be me. Overall, it was a decent açaí bowl and a nice spot to stop by if you need something to help cool down!

They were technically closed when we walked up, but we peeked inside anyway and met Tina, who was in the middle of making her own dinner. Instead of turning us away, she said we could Go ahead and have a seat. (There are only two small tables inside, with most of the seating outdoors.) It felt less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's home. Tina is truly a gem--sweet, funny, and genuine. You can tell she pours her heart into the place. Parking couldn't be easier--it's directly across from a large parking lot near the beach restrooms, so no circling the block looking for a spot. Our vegan friend was beyond excited to see a menu of all vegan options. Everything is made fresh--nothing canned or pre-packaged. We tried the vegan chicken wet burrito, a traditional chicken burrito, and the shrimp tacos, and every single dish was so flavorful and satisfying. If you want great food and even better hospitality, this place is a little hidden treasure. And say 'hi' to Tina!

I chose Tacos Cancun because it has vegan options alongside non-vegan options. My fiance and I got the two taco combo plate & an additional taco to try all three vegan meat options, horchata, vegan asada nachos, Burrito with Soyrizo, & he got the non-vegan California Burrito. I'm going to write just about the vegan options: The fake chicken and beef meats and cheese (sprinkled on tacos & sauce for nacho cheese) were overwhelmingly artificial and processed. The beans & rice lacked flavor. Even with salsa, the tacos were dry. The chips were over fried (this might just be preference or preparation, but I haven't had chips that fried before). The horchata was like drinking sugar. It was creamy, but one sip was too much for me (but like the chips, this might just be my preference to have way less sweetener in horchata). The Soyrizo did have good flavor. We were hoping that maybe their non-vegan items would be better for my fiancé's sake, but he said his California Burrito was unfortunately quite dry too. There is outdoor seating available. Even with dining in, food is served on one-time use disposable plates with plastic utensils. We will not be going back to Tacos Cancun. Bummer!

THIS REVIEW IS "ONLY" FOR THE "LEMON OLIVE" CUPCAKE…read more.. Today is my birthday and my friend stopped by before work to bring me some goodies for my birthday. She knows I love sweets and do a lot of baking myself, however, I HAVE NEVER TASTED A CUPCAKE THIS DELICIOUS........EVER!! It's truly moist, "flakey" if you could call a cupcake flakey at all, has nooks and crannies as I broke it in half (thinking I'd only eat half and save half for later)... and honestly, lemon is NOT my favorite of anything if I had to pick. So for this baker saying this lemon olive cupcake is the VERY BEST cupcake OF ALL CUPCAKES that I've ever tasted, is saying A LOT. I'm totally a cake person, so the slight glaze on it is more than enough for me! She also bought me a carrot cake cupcake. It's good, but not above and beyond to make a name in this review. There are plenty of carrot cake recipes and this one is a 7 on a scale of 1-10, IMO. ... but the lemon rates 38 on a scale of 1-10. LOL

"There's always money in the banana stand."…read more Pop culture fans may be interested to know that Sugar 'n Spice is the inspiration for Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand from the TV series, Arrested Development. Located on Marine Avenue in Balboa Island, Sugar 'n Spice has been serving the original frozen bananas and Balboa Bars since 1945. P The biggest downside is their hours; they don't open until 11 AM, which is disappointing for those with a sweet tooth who want an early treat. I tried the frozen bananas and must say, Sugar 'n Spice has a superior frozen banana. The chocolate was delicious, the toppings were fresh, and the banana wasn't too frozen - if that makes sense! Sugar 'n Spice is on the only road in and out of Balboa island so don't expect to find plenty of parking. The wait was quick and the prices weren't awful. We ordered the frozen banana and balboa bar with premium chocolate and peanuts. The Balboa Bar was delicious, exactly what you would want for a quick dessert option. The frozen banana was good, maybe a little too frozen but that is expected from a literal frozen banana. The line felt more touristy then local but overall I'd go again.

The rolls…read morewere coated in butter infused with zesty lemon and thyme (Yes, like the name of the restaurant! Isn't that adorable and clever?) Then came the entrees. Knockout after knockout. The Pork Belly with Black Garlic and the Seared Duck Breast were both perfectly executed. Crunchy, golden skin. Juicy meat. Rich, flavorful sauces paired with comforting, silky purées. Balanced. The kind of plates that make us slow down to savor each mouthful... and then shamelessly scrape up every last bite. We were so smitten after those first two dishes that we threw all caution and control to the wind. I asked staff to surprise us with one of the dishes recommended earlier. Out came the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor. Nice char, tender bite, and a tangy sauce. For dessert: the Baklava Cheesecake. Lightly spritzed with aromatic rose water, ultra sweet, and unapologetically indulgent. Beautifully crafted and shareable, though you may not want to. Beyond the food, the ambience really shines. Intimate, classy, and whimsical, with a charming playlist. Ideal for date nights or special celebrations. Service was outstanding. Warm, attentive, and passionate. Staff enthusiastically walked us through the menu and offered recommendations. Our server was on point. Water glasses were never empty, plates cleared promptly, and everything flowed seamlessly. An incredible experience from start to finish. I couldn't stop yapping about the duck and pork belly since our first dinner here. So we came back the following weekend! We ordered our favorites again - the Pork Belly with Black Garlic and the Seared Duck Breast. To our surprise, the meats felt rather chewy and tough. I'm hoping this was a hiccup, but would love to see consistency in texture. Will be coming back for more :)

This is really out of the way for us, but since we were doing some shopping in Costa Mesa, Grok recommended this restaurant based on a few of our filters... Wow, the food was phenomenal...but what pushed this from a 4 star to a 5 star experience were the warm towelettes and lemon for me to wash my hands with. I guess they saw me using my hands to eat their delectable empanadas, they brought a plate with warm towelettes and lemon over. Pleasantly surprised and impressed.
