I'm very frustrated, I've been calling and trying to get a refund for an online order for almost a month. I accidentally ordered a large, and within a few seconds realized my mistake and called them to cancel my order. They said they couldn't refund me, couldn't cancel my order, and couldn't change it. I have been told 5 separate times I would have a manager call me back to get my refund. I have called 7-8 times total and have been treated unkindly. I work in the area and loved coming here on my lunch breaks, but this whole experience has totally ruined my opinion of this location. First time trying Banzai after hearing so many good things about it. It was definitely tasty, but I think I expected more. The service was fast & workers were a tad distracted dealing with a difficult customer so it was hard to get a feel for the service entirely. The ambiance was chill on a Saturday afternoon as you could tell many people stopped by after a day at the beach. The bowls itself, I thought were a little pricey for the amount of fruit you're getting. We paid $30 for two bowls (one small one large) and got a few modifications. I think the OG Bowl was okay, not my favorite açaí as I love a rich rich taste of açaí. My partner got the Da Kine and he loved the chocolate notes. I ordered the acai bowl called Sharks cove and the pitaya base called three tables. They have a small and large option. The sharks cove came with granola, goji berry, strawberry, banana, and blueberry. The acai base was tart and lightly sweetened. You also get the option to choose apple juice or coconut milk with your base. I chose apple juice. They also drizzled some maple on top. I got my husband the pitaya base with apple juice. This was my first time trying Banzai Bowls, and I was a little disappointed. On the menu it lists strawberries or blueberries as included in most bowls. So when I went to order the "Da Kine" bowl, I was surprised when the cashier informed me that "it only comes with bananas so do you want to add strawberries and/or blueberries." I wasn't informed that it would be extra, or how much extra it would be to get the bowl made the way it's listed on the menu. The same thing for my boyfriend's açaí bowl that "only comes with bananas." Turns out, it's $1.50 each to add any berry. It felt icky to pay extra just to get it made the way it's listed on the menu. Off the wall 10/10- this is my favorite açaí bowl hands down and I love açaí so this is huge. I specifically love banzai bowls because they blend their açaí with fresh juice and fruits. This specific bowl the açaí is blended with guava juice, bananas, strawberries, and dark chocolate. It's topped with coconut flakes, kiwi, bananas, granola, and honey. It's literally so good. I love how the dark chocolate blended gives a little bit of texture to the açaí base. Their granola is also fantastic- my favorite granola, and they put it at the bottom of the bowl too which is great. It's incredibly fresh and so revitalizing. I had never had an issue with Banzai bowls before. Today, my husband picked up a Dakine Acai bowl for me and when I ate the first few bites it was fine. I took another bite and felt something difficult to chew, I spit it out and saw a piece of coconut and thought that was the problem. I kept taking bites and I noticed a purple little piece that looked like paper. I then realized it was from the acai packet. I though, "oh it's probably just a mistake maybe they just accidentally dropped a piece into the blender" so I kept eating. Then there was another piece, followed by another, and another. I'm pretty sure I swallowed at least one piece without knowing it and it feels like it's stuck on my throat. I checked the rest of the bowl and it was filled with blender pieces of the plastic/package. This is honestly so careless and disappointing. If a child had gotten this bowl or if I had shared it with my niece or nephew they would never question the texture. I will never return. read more

This place used to be pretty decent 10 years ago, I hadn't been in there too many times over the last few years. I went two months ago with my son, trying to encourage him to enjoy healthy treats. We ordered two of their specialties and asked them to make some alterations to the one for my son. Kids can be a little picky, which is fine. You should be able to accommodate your customers. I ordered the Dakine. I was concerned because the two young boys making our drinks were most focused on their juvenile conversation about the previous night. Young , but you're at work and you're getting paid to do a job. So we ended up with two giant cups of açai, berry mush. Very little toppings, and they didn't make the alterations. ... they're pretty clever because they just pile some granola and a little tiny bit of fruit with bananas so that you assume it's good to go. Once we got home with our to go order, there was really no toppings inside. $30 for 2 cups of mush. I can get a huge bag of frozen açaí berries and all the fresh fruit for $30 from the store. Not have to cringe watching disgruntled teenagers make my drink. I'm not cheap but just do your job and make it decent product for the customer. I don't have anything to do with your politics or problems. I called a couple times to get in touch with the manager no accountability never got anywhere. read more
