I have been to this Jamba Juice quite a few times since it opened in 2008, and though they make bomb oatmeal and the manager is super cool and remembers my name (I think his name is Michael, though I haven't seen him the last few times I came in), this is by far the worst JJ I have been to yet - and I have been to quite a few. Their smoothies are horrible. I always ask for mine thick, and they seriously need training to do so. I also think they either get their measurements wrong or do not use the universal ingredients as other JJ's do because their smoothies taste odd. The last time my sister came here she said that hers tasted so bad, almost like sweat, that she had to throw her's out and actually called corporate. I myself have given them multiple opportunities but I can't do it anymore. It's that bad. read more

Great location. Very nice and friendly staff. Upbeat music. Smoothies taste as awesome as other ones I've been to or maybe even better given the atmosphere. Ben did such a great job describing the Sweet Belgian Waffle that I got one. Even forgot my order from the secret menu and he suggested the White Gummy Bear. I came here recently and they have the dollar off redeem offer... but when I showed it to the manager, she had no idea what it was or how input the offer. I was a regular at this store but thanks a lot to the current manager, I will come here less. your typical customer in and out at this store location, also a regular here ...so the workers know of me as a regular too. And I only get one drink and it's their strawberry energizer! Used to be on their menu, but i suppose they got rid of it and now it's a secret menu item. Overall this store isn't so bad, but when summer time comes it's overkill for the lines. read more

When you walk into Jamba Juice they welcome you with smiles and a loud "welcome to Jamba", I always thought it was weird and sometimes creepy because they just always seen so happy, but you won't get that at this location. They are rude and are not very friendly at all. This location just poops on its name. So unfortunate. I guess I'll take the creepy happiness over this unpleasant experience any day. read more

I recently got a drink from this store, I ve nothing to say about it ( I didn't drink it) but I ve something to say about the service, the person who served me was nice and friendly but when I asked if my drink was cold, that person, in a rush, said: normal. When I got it, and I started drinking it I got the ice in my mouth, so I just want to explain : when a drink has ice, that means that it s cold, don't say "normal" cuz I had a really good reason to ask, the result is that I m sick since that day, t days already and I don't know how many more. I like this Jamba because it's usually not too busy. Unfortunately, a lot of the employees seem new and don't really know how to make the drinks correctly. I usually see them pour the drink and leave a lot of leftovers in the blender. I don't always go to Jamba Juice but when I do I always get a razzmatazz. So yummy! I've been here a few times and not gonna lie, they messed up my drink one afternoon but it was my fault since I had said the order wrong. However, there was this one time where the lady made my drink wrong. It wasn't blended all the way do there's was chunks and it didn't taste good. I was pretty disappointed and threw it away. As a former Starbucks barista I know to taste my drink before I walk away but I didn't do that here. And even though the drink was nasty Im too nice and didn't wanna go back to have them remake it. I like this Jamba Juice more than the one near Walmart in Oakland. This one just looks better. There are plenty of seats inside and outside. The workers are really nice. Drinks are made fast. But it always feels so cramped in here. It's a good sized Jamba Juice, but there's only one entrance/exit so I always feel just like totally cramped, even though I like cramped. read more

ok this is the pie again. you know me, always honest; never led astray. jumba juice in alameda needs to go to hell because of their damn awful abuse to their customers. i came in and ordered a chocolate mood with no ice, just extra frozen yougrt and this blonde broad was really mean. the reason why i gave this place a second chance is i love the jamba juice in brerkeley. i give the 5 stars to the staff i love and they always are respectful; and they dont give you a damn lecture when you dont want any damn ice. i was going to pay for the extra scoop of frozen yogurt, but i just walked out. read more

i have been in love with Jamba Juice since tenth grade, back in the day when they used syrofoam cups. the one in alameda is not very good, it's mostly a 2.5 star type of place. They take forever, even when you are the only customer; they don't blend drinks in the order that customers come in; and finally their smoothies are pretty bland. to normally, 2.5 stars; for today's visit 1 star. today, not only did my smoothie have no flavor, but i'm pretty sure the girl who made my smoothie was totally out of jamba juice's health policies. Her nametag said Rosemarie. By the time I went over to get my smoothie, she had already popped stuff in the blender. Sitting on top of her right hand was a wad of chewed gum! Nasty. As my smoothie blended she chatted with her coworker and then licked the gum off the top of her hand to re-chew it. Disgusting. I just stood their watching her. She walked over to take by smoothie out of the blender but realized that I was staring at her so she walked back to the sink and rinsed her hands under the water for like 2 second. Rinsed, not washed. Definitely no soap. Then she poured my smoothie into the cup and was banging on the blender really hard, splashing water all over the place, including on me (she didn't wipe her hands after rinsing them). Finally, she got the smoothie in the cup and jammed on the lid. However, because her hands were so wet she couldn't get the wrapping of the straw off so she just stuck it in my drink. the paper on the straw was all wet and fell apart into my smoothie. not happy. will not go back to this one. read more

When I first started going to this particular Jamba Juice I was served a great smoothe, really thick filled to the rim just like most of the others I frequent during the week. Then all of a sudden BAM, the staff started serving extremely watered down smoothies. This was not the high standards the Jamba Juice Corp typically serves so I decided to inquire about it. When I asked why their smoothies all of a sudden became more like a juice, I was treated poorly with poor customer service. Geez sorry I asked. They ran out of peach juice, so for my peach pleasure I had to get apple juice and it tasted different and not as good as usual :( also I split my original size to two sixteens and it looks like the cups have gotten smaller... or they skimped me? Usually pretty good and fast. BUT.... Today, I bought 2 Parmesan pretzels that were in the display case. When I picked up my drinks, they said they sold out of the pretzels. Generally, it takes a lot for me to write a review on a place. Food service is hard, and I would never want to do it. Everyone makes mistakes. For this location, I've given a wealth of chances, and I'm over the inefficiencies. First, I'm allergic to pineapple. It's a serious food allergy, and I communicate it right away each time I order so items are cleaned before my drink is made. Each time, the person at the register has looked at me with confusion, unsure what to do with me, and seemingly weighing how serious my allergy could be to avoid making the accommodation. Each time, this bothers me, especially as I stare at the sticker at the register that says "Got food allergies -- tell us." Today, I reiterated my allergy twice over the course of my drink being made, as the store was busy and the order of the blenders being filled kept switching due to mistakes and workers starting over and different workers kept coming up to add to the orders. After all of this, the girl making my drink attempted to use a dirty top used for the Aloha Pineapple made before my drink to blend it. I had to reexplain myself for a third time with a level of sternness that I reserve for when I'm really exasperated. The fact this employee was prepared to use a dirty top, and one with a severe allergen on it at that, was extremely frustrating. She apologized, saying that they didn't usually reuse drink tops. Clearly the point was missed -- I'm more concerned about my health than some residual smoothie from the person before me. The fact I had a serious allergy never clicked in her mind despite my many reminders. She then walked away, not returning to add a new cap. I waited several more minutes for a new worker to realize the issue and deal with it. Moreover, the last three times I've gone to this location, I had to wait 25+ minutes for my smoothie. Today is the last day I will accept waiting that long. I believe it can be somewhat attributed to the fact that at least two new people have been training each of the three times I have gone over the past three weeks. Beyond that, some employees go about their jobs with obnoxious leisure and little care. I get my smoothie with whey protein each time. Today, they added the whey protein, but forgot other elements of the drink while switching the blenders around. I received a smaller size that what had been ordered due to this mistake, and had to ask them to add in the proper amount of ingredients. Once the second version was made, I was still shorted two inches of drink space. I gave up and left. with my drink. The fact I need to police the making of my smoothie so closely -- a relatively simple order compared to the extensively specialized order in front of me -- is unacceptable. I feel I could more effectively and efficiently produce my own drink if I were behind the counter. I am not comfortable going to this location because of their disregard of my serious allergy and lack of urgency in serving customers. Again, I understand food service is difficult, and I have been patient. At this point, I'm disappointed and will not be going back to this Jamba Juice. I advise others with similar concerns to do the same. read more

Up-date: Took my Nephew here for a treat after school and I was apprehensive at first because he has a strawberry allergy and when I was reading the menu most of the drinks have strawberry as an ingredient (I know I can order it without but cross contamination is still a probability). Once I ordered his Mango a go go (?) without strawberries and stated because he is allergic the Manager (?) jumped in and made sure it was labeled with his allergy and made it in the back for more control over the ingredients. (Also able to add a different fruit to fill in for the portion that would have been the strawberries). I know in the future I can take him out with less of the worry of a possible allergic reaction and am very grateful for that. read more

I love jamba juice, this is the closest to me so i go there every chance i get. I always get the same acai antioxidant juice. This time it was a huge disappointment. Right off the bat the drink did not look right (the color). So i asked if they were sure that this is right drink they made, im not saying if someone else's drink was given to me because i was the only one in there and the other guy was just ordering at the register. They said "of course, its the right drink, its urs" i did not enough time i grabbed the drink and left. Bug mistake should have tried the drink right then and there and have them make a new one. Cuz this drink was nothing but huge chunks of strawberries and ice that i couldn't even drink through the straw because it was too chunky. Who ever runs the store should manage their employees and coach them to be polite and provide a great customer experience. read more

I didn't want to write this publicly, but I could find no way to contact management. I'm a big believer in creative expression and in fact make my living by it, but the music being played in this Jamba Juice crossed a line. About 15 minutes ago when I walked in, there were little kids waiting for their drinks, there was music blaring over the system repeating the words "f'ing b!tch" I told one of the guys it was inappropriate. He turned it down to half the volume. I waited to see if it would continue and it did so I told the cashier(another guy) the same thing. He changed to a different song which used the words,"sh!t and b!tch". I said to him, "As a mother this music is really unacceptable". He shrugged his shoulders and then asked another guy to change it which he did to what I am guessing is their brand approved music. When I ordered my drink I had substituted an ingredient due to allergies. When I picked up my drink from the first guy that I had talked to I asked him if it was in there and he said No. As I drove away I took a couple sips of the drink and my throat started to swell shut. I realized that he had outright lied and I was out $6. There's an employee supervision problem at that store. Management can contact me if they want. read more
