    Jakewich
    Aimee K.

Decent food but not anything exceptional. I had the Jakewich... 2 eggs, cheese and pork roll on an english muffin. The waitress never asked how I wanted my eggs cooked and I assumed that on a breakfast sandwich they would have been scrambled. Unfortunately, they were over easy so, the dripping yolk made it a bit messy to eat. English muffin was a little too well done for my liking. They substituted sweet potato fries for me instead of home fries. They were delish. My friend had the special Pineapple Coconut pancakes. She enjoyed them and said they tasted like piña colada pancakes. Service was good but coffee needed to be offered in regular intervals instead of us trying to get our servers attention. Overall it wasn't bad but we probably wouldn't go back.

Been to the other Jack's eatery and this one is just as good. Well depends on how you look at it... Food is delicious.. I had stuffed French toast. Coffee good. But the service hear is bad. Waited 10 min to get waited on... 5 min for my coffee. And 25 min for my food.. Definitely needs to be more training. No one should have to wait that long. Especially just to be waited on. Jack's is plain Inside with not much on the walls and making like that new type of a restaurant... Bring a jacket... It's cold in hear they have the air on even when the Temps are cold outside. I don't think I would ever come back to this one... Just sticking with richboro Jack's... The atmosphere seems to be much better. And more available parking.

We just enjoyed a very satisfying Good Friday breakfast at Jake's in Newtown. Plenty to eat, tasty and quite fairly priced. It seems time to revisit the old review and adjust the ranking to 4 stars. I've eaten here often enough to become a fan.

The picture speaks for itself. I was utterly repulsed and shocked that they would allow bare dirty feet in their establishment. We left before we even opened our menus. I will never eat here again

Fair at best. Food is just average. Toast is always soggy. Only bright spot is the wait staff. They are very good.

Our server Max was attentive throughout, always making sure we were taken care of and waters full! We both had the burger and I'm not lying when I say it's one of the best burgers I've had. I normally ask for sauce or mayo but the burger was so juicy on its own it didn't need any sauce. It was cooked perfectly and all the toppings were fresh. We both opted for onion petals instead of fries which is definitely the move - make sure you get the chipotle aoli (thanks again, Max!) I washed it down with the strawberry basil bourbon smash which was wonderful. Everything was fantastic and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. So glad this spot is back up and thriving!

The Wycombe Tavern & Grille…read more We visited The Wycombe Tavern & Grille at approximately 7:45 p.m. on a Saturday. There were only two other occupied tables and a few people seated at the bar, so we were surprised by the slow service. After waiting quite a while, we eventually had to ask to be served. The service improved after that, and our server was pleasant, but the tables still lacked consistent attention. Several staff members appeared to spend a considerable amount of time gathered in a back room talking rather than checking on guests. The mozzarella sticks were very good and earned 4 stars, as did the French onion soup. Although the website gives the impression of a more traditional village inn, the interior is actually fairly modern. There also appears to be a very nice outdoor beer garden area that would be enjoyable in warmer weather. The cottage pie was a generous portion, but it was somewhat limited in flavor and contained very few vegetables. The fish dinner included nice-sized pieces of fish with a light breading. It was enjoyable overall, although not exceptional, so I would rate it 3.5 stars. Service: 3 stars Overall experience: 3.5 stars The Wycombe Tavern & Grille has a pleasant atmosphere, good appetizers and reasonable portions, but the service and some of the entrées could use improvement. The ambiance feels a bit more upscale than a traditional breakfast restaurant, but that's probably because they also service dinner. The service was a bit slow, but it was packed, so it wasn't the fault of the waitress. We will definitely come back for breakfast again!

Sadly, I was less impressed with their food. I came here with a big group for brunch, we sat in the two round tables in the back. It was the first time for many of us, and I was between their speciality Syniki pancakes and Shakashuka at $15 each. The Syniki pancakes were tiny little cheesecakes, delicious but like a dessert and SMALL. It was not even served with a side of fruit at least to make up for the size (and price). The Shakashuka at least came with two rolls of bread, but it was only 2 eggs in the pan. The sauce was delicious, I wish it came with a side of salad or potatoes to justify paying $15 for 2 eggs. I think I wouldn't be a annoyed about the price, if it wasn't that we also got kicked out of our table. We were finishing our drinks and had not even paid, when they literally started moving our things to the side because "they needed our table for a big party." We ended up figuring out the bill standing up while the party was sat and we awkwardly tried to get our purses to pay. Thankfully our friends had the table next to us, so some people squeezed in, but it was so odd. I will say, that two people complained about the portion sizing and not liking their meal and were given macaroons. Which is funny because they didn't like their meals because they thought their Syniki pancakes were too sweet. Anyways, it was only my first time there, and maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, and we were a large party so maybe I'll give it a try another time.
