Margherita Pizza

Stopped in for lunch. I tried their Margherita Pizza. It was quite tasty. It's a full 12" pie, so plenty of food. My wife tried one of their pick 2 special lunches. It included 1/2 Reuben sandwich, which she enjoyed.

I just want to thank everyone for such great service at my office Christmas party. From the minute I walked in, I was greeted by a bartender. I wish I had his name. He made me a Candy Cane Martini Mocktail that I had checked to see if it was possible to make. He made my whole day just by making it something possible. It was so perfect and tasted amazing. I would also like to thank the manager for serving me my food:) I loved the chicken tenders and fries. The atmosphere was beautiful with all the Grinch decorations for Christmas and it felt so homey.

Still an Irish Sports Bar with decent kitchen and service, The Green Parrot has nicely settled in as the anchor tenant at Goodnoe Corner, Newtown, PA. The bar room is jumping weekends, with curated beer list and good well drinks. The kitchen has had its ups and downs, but we have had our last few Christmas celebrations here and been well satisfied with our food. Last Tuesday night ten of us occupied the now enclosed porch area and enjoyed ourselves for a couple of hours. My Shepherd's Pie (w braised lamb) was very tasty, and looking around the table everyone appears to be happily consuming whatever they ordered. There were a few positive comments from the group to the effect that "...Parrot grub was on the way up, again." I agreed as we acknowledged that we would try it again for our next event. Always happy to keep our business close to home.

Airy, upbeat atmosphere for fun and food with friends. Menu with many options and a nod to Ireland. The colcannon is the best I've had. (I rice my potatoes to make mashed potatoes to my bar is high.) shout out to B. Smith for her exceptional service. We were a handful and she managed us beautifully. Desserts were as great as dinner!

A great venue for listening to good music and just hanging out with new and old friends at the bar. Next time I come back I'll try the food.

Called ahead a few days in advance that I'd like to come celebrate with a large group. Probably 20 people or so. Understood the kitchen would be closed when I got there but was assured by the hostess the bar would be open and take care of us. Fast forward to the day. Even tried to call ahead to double check we were still on for the evening. No answer. Called several times. Went to voice mail. Showed up. Not only was the woman I spoke to not there (like she said she would be to accommodate the party) no one on staff knew we were coming. We were told would could have one of the circular tables by the bar for our group (that seats 4 people). When the server told us the bar was still open the bar tender said she would only serve us one round and had to close. Totally missed opportunity for the staff to make money. Also terrible service in regard to trying to foster a community where people a certain large theatrical establishment down the street are looking to come and unwind. Had a great time here the last time I was here but they failed miserably. Won't recommend this place to anyone in the community and will make sure future people who come to work in this town don't waste their time trying to go here. Went to Old Stone down the road. Nicer vibe. Staff treated us well and it's closer to the main part of town as well. If I could give zero stars I would.

Even my friends who aren't Irish themselves left feeling like they'd shared a truly authentic experience. The staff are friendly, the menu is full of classic favorites done right, and the whole place just makes you feel at home; You must try the 7 course Irish menu (6 pints & a potato).Whether you're Irish or not, it's the perfect spot to enjoy good/filling food, good company, and a little taste of Ireland. When it fills up and the dining area seems packed, no worries because they open the upstairs portion and can support a larger crowd.

As a Guinness girlie, it made me very excited hehe. They also have a lot of fun winter cocktails! I decided to go with the Horne tini because apparently it came with an Irish potato?? Unfortunately they had run out, but I deffo need to get my hands on one of those next time. My drink was delicious, and my parents loved theirs too. Everything we ate was soooo yum. The sweet and spicy sweet potato fries were perfect, the soup was so good, and I was very happy with my Irish grilled cheese sandwich. The lamb shank was HUGE and incredible, and the meat was cooked perfectly. I would honestly visit again just for that lamb shank. The bar was popping! So many people and such nice happening vibes. Our waitress, Kayla, was seriously so incredible. She added so much to the whole experience of our night. She was extremely patient, kind, and genuinely took care of us. The restaurant is really lucky to have her!

Ordered the crispy pork roll bites and was pleasantly surprised - very good. The cheese dip side was a little solid though, kinda gross but fine. Our waitress was super friendly, and when we asked if she could put the Flyers game on, she took care of it right away. I decided to try the Smashburger Nachos since I'd seen them all over their social media and they looked amazing. The portion size is absolutely gigantic--seriously, plan to share with four or five people because it comes out on what's basically a pizza tray. Unfortunately, I wasn't all that impressed with the flavor. The burger meat tasted more like taco meat, which threw me off because I was expecting more of a Big Mac vibe. It also had a bit of spice to it, which I wasn't expecting (and I'm not big on spicy foods), so that didn't help the experience. To make up for it, I ordered the fried pickles, but those also missed the mark for me. They're served as spears instead of chips, so when you take a bite, the whole pickle slides right out of the breading. They also stay extremely hot no matter how long you let them cool. Just not my preferred style. On the bright side, my husband ordered what I believe was a Power Bowl with grilled chicken, cranberries, Brussels sprouts, goat cheese, and maple vinaigrette. It looked delicious--very much a keto-friendly dish--and he really enjoyed it. I'd honestly love to try recreating it at home. Overall, I didn't have the best luck with my dishes, but the service was great, and my husband's meal was excellent. I think Magerks does some things really well, and there's definitely room for improvement in others. Giving them a solid 4 out of 5. I'd come back and try something different next time!

The two "Hostesses" gave a new meaning which is just the opposite. I'm in town in business and just happened upon this place. I made eye contact with the Hostesses and neither made an effort to say Hi, ask a question, bring a Menu, NOTHING except to stare at me as if I didn't belong there. Finally the Bartender greeted us with Menu's and a kind word. I just got in town last night so today I planned on having my first Cheese Steak. The "Pounder Cheese Steak did not disappoint.
