I had a cup of their "energy" soup - a thick solid serving of sweet potato puree, beans, quinoa, and kale - which was tasty and filling; and their cheese ravioli in marinara. This was also very good with tender pasta enveloping a generous ricotta filling. My wife had the vegetarian quesadillas which she enjoyed. Hostess was very friendly and service prompt.

I ordered takeout this week with a coworker and it was a bit pricey. $22+ for a Caesar with shrimp. We asked for a side of dressing which was $2 additional. The Caesar salad at Issac Newton's is amazing, really amazing but I'll order it for dinner with my husband next time. It was expensive for lunch at work. I also have to rave about the seasoned fries with dipping sauce! Holy crap, they're my favorite and a must have! All in all Issac Newton's is my favorite restaurant in Newtown. Sadly, there are so many corporate chain restaurants popping up and are mediocre compared to Issac Newton's. Did I mention the atmosphere is really nice and cozy? The pics included are from my takeout.

The group prefers separate checks which I know is a pain in the you know what. Olivia handled this beautifully...not one mistake, very accommodating, timely, and all with a sweet smile. She did not miss a beat...it impressed me for sure. We had a nice table in the back room facing the outside patio. It was a perfect spot for our group. While Olivia deserves a 10 Star rating...the food...well...just fair. Maybe a 2.5 star rating. My simple scrambled eggs tasted powdery and the breakfast potatoes were probably the worst I have ever had. Dried out, hard, and equally squared. Not the good kind of breakfast potatoes by any stretch. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback bc potatoes are key! They seriously need to get rid of those...just not worth the calories and very disappointing. All in all, Turning Point is just Okay...I like it for the location and atmosphere.
