In the last few weeks I've hiked trails near Downingtown twice. After my second hike no question that I wanted to come back here for another visit. Station Taproom is an attractive and comfortable pub with what I found to be an unexpected menu. Many dishes had an Asian influence, but with the additional plus of showcasing some exciting combinations of ingredients. VEGAN BANH MI ::: I had this on my first visit. The sandwich was made with plant-based meatballs, along with carrots, cucumber, plus much more in the mix. (I detected a note of hoisin in the mix, though not mentioned in the menu). "Meatballs" were definitely unexpected in a banh mi. WONTON NACHOS ::: On my second visit to the Taproom, which was last week, I had "wonton nachos". As per the menu, some of the ingredients were "hoisin-berry BBQ pork" as well as mozzarella and pepper jack, and wonton chips. Presentation was important, and I could see that they had spent extra time in plating the dish. A finishing touch was the "micro cilantro" that was delicately sprinkled over the top. I love cilantro, but had never seen it in "micro" form. It was very fresh, wondering now whether they grew it themselves. BEERS ::: On both my visits, "Rachel" made excellent recommendations for hazy IPA's. Great experiences both times.

I found this place by accident because a co-worker bought me a gyro from there. I disagree with what the other's are saying is wrong with them. Maybe the produce was wilted because it was ordered to go and the gyro meat and pita were hot. Don't know. But I think they are great. I do not taste a minty flavor at all and the pita bread is not a doughy mess. The one and only reason I am giving it only 4 stars is because I have only ever tried three menu items (gyro, cheese steak and bacon/cheddar fries). But, from what I hear, the rest of them are pretty great too. I would recommend this place to anyone. Oh, and I have never had an issue with delivery. The first time they delivered here, they called me and I explained exactly where I was. I would have done the same thing if I didn't know every single part of a city I was in. read more

This was my second time at Jads. The first experience was so good I came by again just to see if it was consistent. First the owners there are so warm welcoming and friendly. They seem to be truly appreciative of your business. I ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions a chicken cheesesteak and fries. The cheesesteak was wonderful. You can tell they buy a premium cut of meat for their steaks. It really makes all the difference. Perfect amount of cheese perfectly sautéed onions. And a fresh roll makes for one of the best steaks in chester county. The fries were done crispy and not greasy and oily. They were perfect. Even though I live very close to Jad's, I'm on a tight budget and don't dine out too often. My neighbor suggested we have lunch there and I ordered their burger platter lunch special. It was a large, delicious burger patty with very fresh lettuce, tomato & onion. As good as the juicy burger was, the French fries are the best, so crisp and hot. I plan to go back soon to try other items on the menu. I highly recommend Jad's for a delicious, reasonably priced lunch or dinner. read more

It was ground up cheesesteak meat. That really drove me crazy because the draw for this pizza was that I love Shawarma meat and I was really looking forward to it on a pizza. Not only was it falsely advertised meat, it was barely any on it. They also put way too much cheese on it, so much so that it overpowered even tahini and pickles and alleged Shawarma meat. It was not good. Service was definitely friendly and helpful, and the place is really tastefully done inside and squeaky clean. I was going to give three stars, but the last straw is the value.
