Different Cheesesteak #1255. Fontana has free samples on the counter. The free samples helped this review. They may have been short-staffed the night I went. I phoned my order in because I was tired, hungry, and cranky. I got there. I waited. Luckily, I had free samples to eat while I waited. The cold sandwich guy was trying to help the counter woman, but I think he was getting in the way more than he was helping. I got 'The Guido.' The Guido is a cheesesteak with Cooper Sharp cheese, fried onions, and long hots on a seeded roll. I usually don't get long hots, but they seemed very proud of their Guido, so I got long hots. I am glad I did. All of the flavor came from the long hots. The guido was $13.25 after tax. You know I love that! I took my guido to Pennsylvanie Distilling Co. That was a great idea. read more

I got an amazing pizza here. My regular order is 1/2 Buffalo & 1/2 BBQ and this place is not holding back on the toppings. I don't usually like pizza crust, but the crust here has this perfect carmelized crunch on the bottom that I have only ever seen on Detroit pizza. Idk how they do it, but it's delicious. read more

I have no clue what they used for cheese but I have never smelled or tasted anything worse than this Pizza ,it is worse than Carnival food. It was not edible at all everyone tossed it in the trash. Waste of money. read more

This is the best place for mediterranean food you can find. Super fresh, big portion, nicest owner and waiters, not to mention the price is so reasonable! The food and service are so good that It's the first time I feel guilty to pay tips less than 30%. I would come over to this place very often if I live near by. I really hope they can open a franchise near where I live. Cannot ask for more! read more

I just wanted a slice of pizza. There were 3 employees: two of whom were working on making food. The third employee, a female, looked directly at me several times and said nothing. The phone rang and she answered it, but after she hung up, she looked at me again but did not address me. At this point I was in there 5 minutes and being ignored! Terrible service! read more

I just want to complement the gentleman who works here (may be the owner) who made me a WHOLE plain PIZZA so that I could have fresh pizza to take home. I was only there to get 2 slices for my husband, and they only had 1 slice of plain at the time, and I didn't want to get him anything other than plain because he can be picky about what he eats. They have on other occasions given us 6 free garlic knots as well. I appreciate their kindness, and their smart sales approach. Ron don't walk to Fontana pizza! Not only they have excellent pizza but their platters are fantastic. Their prices are fantastic and they have homemade soup chicken salad tuna salad, which absolutely tastes homemade and are delicious. Like I said if you really want a good meal at reasonable price. Long day- ended right. When you start with an 8:00am soccer match, and end it fighting traffic/parking at the Union game you've had a FULL day! When you add a hungry 16yo to the mix it has the ability to end horribly. Thankfully Yelp pointed us to Fontana's -still open on our way back to the hotel. Kid goes in to get one slice, comes out with 2 (yummy) slices and 5 garlic knots for the price of one slice. Even if this was the "end of the night" food they we're getting rid of, it was still tasty. I wasn't even hungry and loved the piece of the mushroom slice the kid shared. I ordered the margarita pizza. It was a soggy mess. Not what I was expecting at all. The crust of the pizza looked like a pre made frozen crust- not good at all. Large slices of tomato that were too thick for a pizza. Over sauced with red sauce that was not flavorful. Pretty average pizza place. It was late and stormy and I was craving wings. I had the combination platter or wings, nuggets and strips with fries delivered. It came pretty quickly and the man was nice. The price was reasonable. What I especially liked was that all my sauces came on the side in sealed cups without me asking. They have me hot sauce for the wings. BBQ for the nuggets. Honey mustard for the strips. It's exactly what I wanted. Good tasting and quick service for dinner on a rainy night. I can't complain. If you're looking for some fried foods for your night in and don't want to use a chain restaurant. I'd recommend. read more

My in-laws came to visit (from out of state) and ordered food from Fontana Pizza & Grill on the way to our apartment. The pizza was very good, but the fried chicken was AMAZING! I normally eat the mostly the batter/crispies off fried chicken, but in this case I ate the whole thing as the batter and the chicken we got were both delicious! Even the white meat was moist and tasty! We ordered the fried chicken again a few days ago, and it wasn't a fluke! This is truly some of the best fried chicken I've ever had! We will definitely be back! The garlic knots were lovely as well. Thank you!!!! read more

Went here on a whim after seeing some positive reviews online. I was very disappointed. The crust has that distinctly pizza hut-ish feel to it. My girlfriend liked it, but she loves pizza hut...so no surprise there. The pie itself was greasy and unappetizing. The woman who worked there was awesome and provided great service, but the food was just not up to par. Recently got a coupon in the mail for $10 off a $20 order, but could not bring myself to eat here again. Make better pizza. Please. read more

Delivery- Ordered: Ham & Cheese Stromboli was decent- but to much dough. 10 Wings- over cooked Slice of Strawberry Shortcake $4.00. The piece was tiny. The delivery guy forgot the Stromboli. My family and I ordered cheese fries, a pizza cheesesteak and a margarita pizza. Everything was hot and delicious. The fries were well cooked and lots of cheese. The pizza cheesesteak had a generous amount of steak meat and cheese. The margarita pizza was one of the best I've ever had. The crust was soft and the toppings were fresh. The sauce on the pizza was awesome and added to the over all flavor of the pizza. I highly recommend this place. I will be ordering from them again. read more

This place is a staple in Exton and it is a great, affordable option. I love the Chicken Rancher Pizza and they have the best fries, extra crisp and golden. The staff is also really great, so kind and quick to throw in extra garlic knots to make your day. I have been supporting them with take out during the pandemic and I will continue to support them after. I have also never had a bad experience with delivery or any missing/incorrect items in an order. I'm thankful that a local pizza place like this has stuck around in exton. read more

Normally very good Greek style pizza. Not sure if they got new owners or if they make their slices differently than their pies but, the slices are not great. We honestly just had the worst delivery service. They were 15 mins late which was fine for us. We ordered a large pizza with mozzarella sticks and two fries. The pizza we got was definitely a medium and we had never ate fries that were as soggy as from this place. We also never got mozzarella sticks. INSTEAD, we got cheesy fries which were more soggy than the normal fries and barely had any cheese on it. As for the pizza, it tasted more like focaccia bread. We wanted to give this place a chance since I don't fully rely on reviews but guess I was definitely wrong on this one. read more

My wife and I were originally planning on going to Han Dynasty in the same shopping center, but they were not doing sit in dining. So we decided to try Fontana. We could have not been happier with our decision. The food and the service were top notch. As we were looking over the menu we were brought complimentary garlic knots. They were absolutely delicious. Not knowing exactly what to order we chose a few things. Thinking what we didn't eat, we could take home and eat for lunch the next day. My wife got a cheesesteak sub and a slice of cheese pizza, and I got a meatball sub and a slice of cheese pizza, and we also ordered a side of Texas Fries to share. The pizza slices were ginormous and delicious. The Texas Fries were also ginormous and delicious. We both were full after eating the garlic knots, pizza slice, and the Texas Fries. So we did not get a chance to try our subs, but if I'm pretty confident that they will taste just as good as everything we had this night. My only complaint, and believe me it's not a complaint, is that their overhead table lights are just a tad too low, and I smacked my head on it twice (Clearly didn't learn from the first whack, LOL). I'm 6'3" so I'm not a giant, by any means. But I will gladly whack my head on a light again if I get to eat Fontana's delicious food. read more

I eat often at Fontana, and I think it shows because if I order after 8:30pm, most nights, they end up throwing in some garlic knots on the house. I typically order the eggplant parm grinder or cheesesteak, both are delicious and large, and depending on which night you get it, it's on special so you'll save yourself a couple of bucks. I've also eaten their gyros (good) and quesadillas which are very large and delicious. Some times I'll have their burgers, which are average. Lastly, I've had their pizza too. The pizza is fine, but nothing great. I like to go to Fontana because I typically call my order in and they have it ready when they say it'll be ready. I generally like the taste of the food, and I think the pricing is good compared to similar places. Also, the staff is generally friendly and chatty. Don't expect to be eating gourmet food, it's just not that kind of joint, but don't expect to pay a fortune either. read more

I would've given it a five if there would've been more ingredients but overall it was a good pizza priced right at $15. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are a few tables if you want to eat there, but I took mine to go I will eat here again once I'm back in the area and try a new menu item.
