When we arrived I noticed that they closed at 6pm, the current time was 5:52pm. I inquired about the gun and the man working the counter pulled it out of the case for my inspection. Knowing already that I wanted the firearm I told him "I'll take it" and we began the paperwork. If you've purchased a firearm you know this can be a long process as CBI can delay things quite a bit. At about the 6:30 mark my wife and one of my kids start doing the potty dance. I asked about a restroom which they clearly didn't have but yet he took the time to walk them down to a unit that did. Finally 6:45 and the background check goes through, he rings us up and I'm short on cash by a couple bucks. Then again he goes the extra mile and calls it sqaure. So Mike I owe you one and I appreciate you going the extra mile and being so hospitable. If you are looking for a wonderful firearm, reloading and accessory shop check them out. They also have CCW classes which I plan to attend within the month.

I deal with firearms and specialized accessories professionally (retired SWAT) and as a hobby. I am also an instructor at the NRA National training facility, so please understand I have dealt with dozens of "gun dealers". Kenny at Jackson Creek is one of the most knowledgeable guys you are going to talk with across a gun counter anywhere in the United States. Not like these other "gun dealers" where the guy behind the counter took a 1 or 2 day shooting course somewhere and now they are "legends in their own mind" and happy to sell you something (anything) at the highest price you look like you can afford. Talk to Kenny sometimes about what he has done in the past as he will not bring it up unless you ask. This is one guy who has been there and done that! His firearms knowledge is broad across many firearms types and deep on all the items he offers for sale. I have taken several friends to buy firearms and NFA items from Kenny who first shopped the big name gun stores and every time Kenny has saved them 25% to 40% on their firearm and NFA package. His gunsmith skills are widely acknowledged by those who know firearms as some of the best in Colorado and he finishes his projects on time for customers! I have had Kenny do specialized work on several firearms and they are done right the first time and delivered on time. He is willing to take the time to explain guns and shooting to the most novice gun owners. I recently watched him patiently talk with an 85 year woman who brought in her paper target after shooting her 22 pistol and was unhappy with her groups. Kenny and his staff took the time and showed sincere interest in helping her with tips to improve her skills. For NFA items Kenny is the only dealer I use. He is meticulous about the entire process and makes certain everything is done in a timely fashion. He is also an honest guy who you can count on when handing over a lot of money for a weapon you will not see for 9-12 months. Everyone assumes all NFA dealers are all honest and prompt.....they are not. Do some research about some of Kenny's nearby competitors who took customers money and did not file ANY paperwork but DID keep the customers money! Customers got no NFA item and had paid their money. One last comment, once in a while Kenny will bring in one of his "project" personal weapons where he has turned an average weapon into a masterpiece. You will see them hanging on the wall behind the counter. If you ever get a chance to buy one of these guns from his store....do it! I have and they have all been true masterpieces far outperforming the original factory weapons platform. read more

I'm new to the area and needed to find a shop I could rely on. I visited Jackson Creek on a whim and I'm glad I did. Kenny (who I assume is the owner) was knowledgeable, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. My first visit was just to check things out, but Kenny was helpful and willing to shoot the breeze for a few minutes. My second visit was for a small repair as well as to place an order. Kenny fixed my issue on the spot (which I wasn't expecting) and made the entire experience a positive one. Looks like I found my new go-to shop. read more
