He's extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a lot of real-world experience beyond just working at a range. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, answered questions thoroughly, and made sure everyone felt supported throughout the class. I was initially a little hesitant about taking a co-ed class since I had no prior firearms experience, but Luis immediately set a very welcoming, relaxed tone. He was calm, approachable, and easygoing, which made a big difference. I never felt intimidated or out of place, and he was very patient working with me as a complete beginner. By the end of the class, I felt comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to keep practicing and come back to the range. Beyond the instructor, the facility itself is great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the environment felt respectful, and even the other patrons were welcoming. I also really appreciate that Bristlecone offers a wide variety of courses for different skill levels, along with discounts when you take classes, and special offerings like free Tuesdays for women.
