Perhaps your son is well behaved and fine around firearms -- many in our community aren't. Walk over to the King Soopers center shortly after the middle schoolers are released -- kids on the rooves throwing bottles and rocks, entering businesses and being disorderly, etc. Notice that the yogurt shop closed??? -- kids were sticking their mouths on the dispensers and raising hell. THE STORE IS BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND UNIQUE!!!! YOUR CRITICISM, MR. BARR, GETS A ONE STAR!!!!!!

I entered the store with my 12 yr old son, whom I am educating about the safety and functionality of firearms, and was looking to purchase a deer hunting rifle for his use for completing hunter safety. Upon entering the store, owned by a husband and wife team, I was given very odd stares. I asked if everything was alright as the sign on the door indicated the store was open. The owner stated I was not allowed to bring my son in the store. I Indicated he had been in there before, and was going to be next to me. He's been around firearms his whole life. The owner stated it is store police not to allow kids in the store. The owner stated sometimes people come in with loaded guns! So what?! Be responsible and unload them or sent the customers who brought them in to clear it before they return. I told the owner if my son was not allowed in I was leaving also, and would not return. The owner stated oh well. If his store is so unsafe kids are not allowed in it, then I recommend other sportsmen avoid this place also. Children are our future, and if we cannot educate them in firearms, and the proper use of them, we will loose yet another freedom and right our great country gives us. Ps if you are in the mood for a great little gun store with great education, and customer service, I recommend Troy, at Colorado Gun Writes in Lakewood! Troy has a popcorn machine he encourages kids to help themselves to, as he takes the time to educate them and encourage our future generation to be safe and knowledgeable. Mountain Guns however has lost a customer for life. I'm sure they will be fine without me, but I wanted to inform others that place their children first to avoid this place and their business practices.

(I ended up buying a cleaning kit haha). I had more questions even after my research for other mods and he was able to help order the parts I needed for it. The guys there have tons of experience and showed me so much. This now my home base for all gunsmithing needs. Highly recommended shop for anyone in the Littleton or southern area of Denver.

They are also a one stop shop for suppressors, new/used firearms and firearm accessories. Waking in is like visiting a friend's house. Everyone is welcoming and loves to speak gun with anyone wishing to chat. The building is clean, well laid out and the parking is easy and right in front of the building. They have clean gender neutral restrooms and they even have a room to sit and read books and magazines about history and firearms. I'm glad I found this place and I just dropped off two old rifles to be repaired and rendered functional again. I like to just browse this place as they always have new stuff. If you're looking for world class gunsmithing, this is the place. I highly recommend LT Arms.

Luis was the instructor for the class, and he was excellent. He's extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a lot of real-world experience beyond just working at a range. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, answered questions thoroughly, and made sure everyone felt supported throughout the class. I was initially a little hesitant about taking a co-ed class since I had no prior firearms experience, but Luis immediately set a very welcoming, relaxed tone. He was calm, approachable, and easygoing, which made a big difference. I never felt intimidated or out of place, and he was very patient working with me as a complete beginner. By the end of the class, I felt comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to keep practicing and come back to the range. Beyond the instructor, the facility itself is great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the environment felt respectful, and even the other patrons were welcoming. I also really appreciate that Bristlecone offers a wide variety of courses for different skill levels, along with discounts when you take classes, and special offerings like free Tuesdays for women. Overall, this was a really positive introduction to shooting, and I'd absolutely take another class here especially with Luis. Highly recommend for anyone new and looking for a supportive, professional place to learn.
