This was an incredible experience. A friend of mine that is a law enforcement officer, had a duty AR10 that was not cycling correctly nor locking back after the final round. We took it to several other places that didn't really want to deal with it, I found this business via Yelp and as a recommendation from The Gallery Shooting Range. These guys welcomed us in, chatted us up and immediately got to work on the rifle. They even have the ability to test fire weapons right there on site. The problem was diagnosed in five minutes and repaired in ten minutes. In the meantime, we were shown around and given a detailed explanation of the Cera Kote process. The rifle was returned to us and they refused to take a payment from us as the fix was simple. This is our new gun smith as no experience we've ever had in this genre gets anywhere near the positive experience of this place. These guys really love and know their guns. Special PSA for the ladies!!! *Gentlemen of GAT/LTA are kind and not condescending* For months I could not get my bolt open. When there and they opened it within seconds. Clearly it was my error. However, they did not compound the "stupid" I already felt. In addition, they mounted my scope and cleaned my rifle for a fabulous knockout price. I had a feeling they were nice gents to do business based off Yelp ratings (as I drove 45 minutes to get there) and indeed they are. Gunsmith at Large has built two rifles for me so far: a 280 Remington and a 280 AI. They blueprinted the Remington 700 stainless-steel actions, mounted the barrels, bedded the actions, etc. Their work is very clean. The 280 Rem. shoots five hand-loaded rounds into a single ragged hole at 100 yards, easily a half MOA or better. (The group is smaller than what the reticle obscures, at 100 yards!) I'll update this post once I've developed a load for the AI. They'll have my business for as long as they're around. read more

I took an SA-85 AK in for a crowning job and to replace the gas block and front sight assembly. They told me they had never done that before and couldn't quote a price or tell me if they could even do it. They told me they'd let me know if 2-3 weeks and that they would call me. Over a month goes by and I hear nothing. I stop by the shop only to see my rifle sitting on the counter, out in the open, and unattended. When someone finally comes out to the counter I was told they hadn't looked at the rifle and was given no explanation why my rifle was not secured in the rack with all the other rifles awaiting work. Its sad this place is rate #1 in Denver. I send all my guns needing serious work out of state now. read more

Did a transfer through the shop and just purchased from the shop. Made purchase about as simple as it should be. They charge a fair price for transfers unlike other shops that will gouge your like crazy. Veteran owned small business and proud supporter of shooting sports. As a retired Gunners Mate and Gunsmith I would be happy to recommend this shop to anyone for 98% of your gunsmithing needs. No bluing or parkerizing ability but thats to be expected with the EPA regulations. Excellent Cerakoteing services especially when given artist's license to make an exceptional looking firearm. It might be a little more than CST, but you get your firearm back sooner rather than later. Highly recommend. read more
