This has been my go-to spot for years now! Even though I don't live in Sacramento, it is always on my To do list when I'm back visiting! Food: as a vegetarian and a boyfriend who is gluten intolerant there are gluten free breads available and vegetarian options. I also love how the menu stays consistent, so I always know what to order. Prices: the prices aren't super expensive, but aren't unreasonable especially since the food is always fresh! The set-up is cafeteria-style where you order as you go along the row of premade ingredients. Salads and sandwiches are made to order. Most recently, I ordered the steak salad ($11.50) and it was pretty good. The salad ingredients were fresh, the flavors were satisfying, and the worker made it just the way I ordered it. I would have liked the steak pieces to be more medium rare, but it was okay. The sides of mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and seasonal veggies were all good as well, but I wouldn't say they were outstanding or exceptional. The kids' tri-tip was a good portion and satisfying for kids. I wish they would have put a small amount of veggies on the kids' plate as well. Overall, Jack's Urban Eats is a good, hearty, can be healthy, restaurant in North Natomas. The prices are a little higher for what you are getting, but their salads ARE good. So I've never been that impressed with Jack's, especially since the salads and sandwiches at Pluto's are better than any other restaurant out there, but since Pluto's has closed I've been really craving hearty salads. I ordered a build-your-own salad with tri-tip on top. I was excited to see that they had fun salad topping options, including corn, crispy onions, and pickled onions. The garlic fries were also delicious. Unfortunately, my praise stops there, though: The salads were quite small for the price, the tri-tip, while nice and soft, were also completely flavorless, and they forgot to give me croutons. Additionally, their Doordash page has been broken for a while (it won't let you order salads) so I had to order on their website instead, which means I missed out on the 20% off pick-up discount that Doordash had this week. read more

My wife and I love coming to jacks urban eats. We always want the same thing so each time one of us orders something else. This restaurant has something for everyone. It's kinda like chipotle where u order as you go along the line and you see the meal being cooked. They use amazing quality ingredients and have great flavor. Our favorite is the Cajun Chicken Sandwich. I'm drooling just thinking about it lol the marinated chicken is soo good and then it has a mango salsa that offsets the kick. It is true art. We enjoy ordering the the urban or the garlic fries. You can't go wrong with either but you will need him after the garlic fries. Truly disappointed with this location on every aspect, and would not recommend going here at all cost. Poor customer service, quality of food, and zero attention to detail. Ordered a custom salad and requested rare steak, but the steak received was overcooked, chewy, ice cold, and half the size I have received many times at other locations. Although they say the meat portions are weighed, the amount given was clearly under the 3oz - of which I paid $3.75 to add in to my salad - what a waste. Had to go up to the counter and request a replacement with fresh steak that is rare as requested, with clear attitude from the employees who laughed as they remade my salad - very unprofessional. The steak sandwich, with expected 4oz of steak, was certainly nowhere close to 4oz and chewy as well. The cashier suggested the veggies on the side as my boyfriend did not like mushrooms, and of course the sandwich was made with the veggies on it - clearly evident these employees put no effort put into reading the order tickets. Once again, we had to go back to the counter to have the sandwich remade. It was obvious that they used the same small portion of chewy, overcooked pieces of meat from the first mistaken order that were - you guessed it - cold once returned with veggies on the side. Don't even get me started on the mac n cheese. We came planning to order a side as it has been at other locations, and unfortunately saw just a bowl that looked like dry curly pasta. Glad we didn't waste our time giving that a try. Really too bad to have had such an awful experience since my opinion of Jack's from the Folsom location was one of such high standards. With so many other local options that have such a desire to give amazing experiences and drive repeat business during these difficult times, I'm sorry to say I don't think I could ever eat at this location again - and I honestly recommend that you don't waste your time and money here either. read more

My wife and I used to love coming here but it's really gone downhill recently. Two weeks ago our fries were cold and seemed like they were sitting in oil, and the ahi tuna was super fishy. Both were nearly inedible. Disappointing, but figured it was just an off night. Today was more of the same. First, our order of sweet potato urban fries was simply nasty. The fries were cold, full of oil, and only seasoned with red pepper flakes. Definitely not urban fries. The superfood salad tasted...ok...though the strawberries were out of season and had no taste, the cucumbers were cut in massive chunks (unable to eat without cutting) and no roasted brussel sprouts. The avocado skin in the salad didn't make it any better. The blackened salmon salad was ok - except the salmon was cold. And not blackened. Pretty bland in fact. Take out for 4 people. First, they don't check your orders with you if you order to go. They completely missed one of my orders but they gave me a call so I had to drive back to pick it up. They also messed up on 3 of the orders. Korean bowl - totally didn't expect it was a salad type of meal. But, don't even know if that was considered a salad because half of the greens were cilantro and it was pretty gross Chinese chicken salad - they completely forgot the dressing so it was a pretty dry salad.. it isn't worth the drive to pick it pick up. Carved meats and fish - selected 6oz Tri tip , 3 Oz chicken and salmon. For A $20 meal it wasn't worth it at all. Tri tip and chicken were cold and dry. Salmon was normal.
