This was our first time here and now it's a different time to go in for donuts. I watched as some of people came to buy breakfast sandwiches. I ordered Almond Croissant but I would pass on this. Anyone who has put this shop under 5 stars must be a Karen. I order a cheese bagel pastrami with Thai tea boba. Let me tell yall, this is by far the best bagel sandwich I've had in the US. Love Jack's Donuts! So far our favorite donut in Chula Vista. Both the cake and the regular donuts are so good. I've had some cake donuts that can be dry but all the donuts at Jack's are soft, fluffy, and moist. I love how they do the jelly filled- they cut the donut in half and then do a spread, this makes for a more even distribution of the jelly. Staff is always nice and welcoming. Most underrated doughnut shop in the area. Came here for the first time on Friday, December 9th and there were construction workers that came here who enjoyed their baked goods and coffee. Most of them whom I spoke to told me they prefer this place over 7-11. I ordered a medium coffee, glazed doughnut and blueberry croissant. All we're delicious! I was looking up good mom and pop donut shops around my area (or a place I could stop by on my way to work) and read some good reviews on Yelp about this donut shop. So I decided to stop by this donut shop on my way to work so I could pick up a dozen donuts. The location is pretty easy to find. They're at the corner of the little shopping area, close to a Jack in the Box, off of Broadway. The parking was decent (considering I came early in the morning). The shop is tiny, but pretty average size for other mom and pop donut shops. They have some seating and their display case of their fine sugary fluffinesses. I was only going to get a dozen donuts, but saw their sign for $1 a dozen donut holes and ended up buying 2 dozen of those!! There were two ladies that were helping customers up front and they greeted everyone that walked in. Their donuts and other pastries looked awesome and after tasting them, I can say they taste fantastic! The donuts are fluffy and have a good balance of glaze. The shop is pretty clean and organized and you can pretty much get in, order and vamoose afterwards. I have seen them brew coffee for those that order, so you may need to wait a few minutes for that to come out to you.
