KG donuts, maple bar and apple fritter delicious treats and there you need to go
    Allan W.

KD's is by far one of the best donut shops here in Chula Vista. I have been going there now for about three years and I have never been disappointed unless they were closed or on vacation. I have tried most of their donuts. My two favorites are the apple fritter and the maple bar and I pick up at least a dozen of the donut holes for my four Belgian malanois dogs I will continue to make this my go to place not only the donuts spectacular, the owners are usually there every time I go. They are both very friendly and happy to help in. Anyway, they can to make you happy customer. Thanks KD donuts for providing a great service to this community.

Never disappoints. The texture is so light and fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness.

These are our favorite of the fresh and delicious donuts at K D's. The owners are both hard working & super nice! Compared to other donuts in the area and beyond, these are the best!

Super nice and friendly staff. Amazing tasting boba and donuts! The strawberry banana is really sweet and the boba is nice and chewy. I got a cream filled chocolate donut that was SOOO GOOD. The donut was fresh, chocolate tasted amazing. The cream tasted a bit more like icing, but it paired well with the strawberry banana drink. All in all a great experience and would definitely recommend!

I want to update my review that I did the other day. This morning i woke up and I have few dollars in my pocket and I just thought that j would get some Donuts and maybe a but i think I'm early. Not all the time im able tk get some donuts and enjoy the morning but if I'm able tk j see why not. Enjoy the morning a lil maybe bring something back for your love ones put a smile on your wife's face do something that you normally don't do even though she might still be asleep lol but its the thought that counts just going out of your way starting your morning off with a thank you and a smile. For those that have had a long week and been stress out at work maybe its time men get your wife or kids some donuts. Maybe sparkles one's. Anyhow I hope we have a good morning. And thank you KD'S from mine to yours

Thumbs up! The donuts are big. The bobas are fresh and good. Not all stores are serving good bobas.

I've been coming here for years, the people here never disappointed me with their food! They have great boba, donuts etc. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family!

Thai tea Boba with a donuts special. I have to say is oh my god so delicious.

Oh my god so delicious not just a doughnut but I wanted to get Thai tea with Boba with a sweet treat on top. They must try head over to the legend of Chula Vista donut shop. .

KD's has the best apple fritters! Love all the nooks and crannies, krispy edges, and soft & moist inside. You can taste bits of real apples inside and not so sweet like some other apple fritters that I have tasted. This place is a hidden donut gem in Chula Vista!

Apple fritters, donut holes and old fashions

Best donut shop in town! I drive from Rancho Del Rey for this shop. My dad even request them when I visit him in Orange County. Their apple fritter is the size of my head and actually had huge chunks of apples in them. Their old fashions are to die for. Their donuts are perfectly crispy and even keep for the next day. Whenever I go there's always other people grabbing a dozen.

Beautiful box, expertly arranged by the new owners.

DONUT CRACK - don't read unless you want to get addicted. I am a serious donut snob. I love those fresh, soft, sweet doughy morals from heaven. I've had them all around SD and almost had a party when Dunkn opened. *Cue Homer mmmm donuts sound* So I wasn't sure what to expect with this shop, since there aren't that many reviews and many of them had to do with a terrible experience with the customer service. I couldn't be happier, and why? Two words "NEW OWNERS" I was in the area, and went in on Saturday morning. I could smell the donuts freshly baked before I walked in - that's always a good sign. I was greeted with a super clean shop and a smiling young lady at the register. I wasn't sure if she was the same person as the other posts, because she was nothing but friendly and very helpful. I sparked a conversation with her since there was just me in the shop, she said she and her husband just took over the shop in August and were very excited. Ok - on to the most important thing, THE DONUTS! The donuts are so stinking good. I wanted to buy one of each but I had to stop myself from looking like a total crazy. I asked the nice lady to put them face up in the box for a photo op before diving in. She happily obliged, she understood my need to post my food adventures. They were so fresh, and light, and perfectly sweet. Apparently they make donuts throughout the day so you aren't stuck eating a stale donut. I bought the apple fritter and cinni-bun/roll donut too for good measure and let me tell you - the cinnabun roll will change your life! I've had Stardust in IB, and they're good - but if you don't get them fresh, they turn into greasy messes. K D's cinnamon roll melts and has that perfect combination of sugar and cinnamon. I had to get some donut holes too, but I ate them all before I could count to 10. They should be called donut crack and not donut holes. The apple fritter was for my 18yr old son and he didn't even take a moment to breath in between bites, I got a little worried (death by donuts doesn't sound so bad to be honest). HUGE plus for me is that there's parking and plenty of seats to enjoy your coffee and donuts without feeling rushed. I HIGHLY recommend making a pit stop and getting a couple of dozen to share, they won't last very long in the car so just get a *few* extra.

Open fairly late but donuts tasted like they were two days old at this point. A couple stars awarded for the convenience factor.

That was a surprise as well. I get there right after 6AM and wasn't sure if they opened yet and sure enough they opened on time. Always a good sign. This plaza is dead before 10 AM so you will always find decent parking in the morning. I parked right up front. The young lady was very nice and welcomed me as I got inside. I knew what I wanted right away as I always see the $7 breakfast special sign when I am getting my tacos. You get a ham and cheese croissant and two donut holes or Munchkins if you're from New England, And a small coffee. I was in and out within a few mins. The place was very clean and of course has that fresh donut smell. I get home and try the coffee, I'm just so used to McDonald coffee and DD coffee that this was an acceptable 6 out of 10. I gave my wife the donut holes and she liked them and said they were very fresh. The ham/cheese croissant was out of this world. A perfect 10/10. Tasted like it was just made. And since I was the first customer that's probably true lol. It was like a French fiesta in my mouth. It was soft and flaky and the inside was cheesy and delicious. This made the meal!! I will definitely be back!

They sell their señorita bread in multiples of 5, and the price scales proportionally. They also have some packaged breads at the checkout counter and a display case with donuts and malasadas. I got 5 señorita breads for $4, and a guava malasada. When I was handed my bag of goods, the señorita breads were still warm! I've never had this type of bread before so I have no comparison. However, the fat, cigar-shaped breads were really satisfying while hot and fresh. They are buttery, sugary, and chewy inside. The texture was a bit homogenous for me, but still quite tasty. I had a second one hours later and it was not as nice. I think they would definitely benefit from a reheat if you have leftovers. The guava malasada was not my favorite. The jam inside was more musty than fragrant, and very artificially red. The dough itself was well-fried and soft, even fresh out of the refrigerator on the second day. I love the textural difference of the sugar crystals on the surface, compared to a traditional donut glaze. I ended up scooping the guava filling out of the middle and eating the fried bread. Overall, while I enjoyed the señorita breads, Chula Vista is a bit of a trek and I would not go out of my way to get them. I am interested in trying Starbread in the Bay, to see if they taste different.

He was the only one I knew of in San Diego doing maple bars as eclairs -I'm so sad that I haven't been able to find that anywhere else.
