Be careful with taking your car here they fix it and then it quits working on the way home and they don't stand behind there work. What kills me is i use to like taking my vehicles there but can't anymore because of the way everything was handled. my brother still takes his vehicles there but i just can't. So just beware read more

Very helpful and honest. Super lucky to have a local shop with great people and great service. They have worked on all my vehicles (some heavily modified) and my camping trailer. I highly recommend using this shop for anything vehicle or trailer related. read more

Their Service is Fantastic and they will make your car problems magically disappear! Thanks to Val & Kyle going way above and beyond the call of duty on fixing my ford explorer! They do excellent work and are reasonable priced compared to other shops in town. A friend of mine recommended this place and I'm really happy he did. My check engine light came on and I took my car and Val the owner hooked up a code reader to determine the problems. He wrote down what the problems were and didn't even charge me for the time he spent on my vehicle. I highly recommend this shop and I'm taking my vehicle back to have my AC serviced. Thanks again! read more

The service was outstanding. I had air conditioning problems and Eric took good care of me and at a very fair price,

Located on McDowell about 300 yds East of 24th St on the South side. Many mechanics in this area and they only have about 6 parking spots in front so you can drive by it. I took a 2010 CX-7 there for an inspection. The people there are very friendly. They say it will take about 45 mins - 1 hour and they take appointments. The cost is $60 - 90 depending on how much is needed. My inspection ended up taking 45 mins and cost $65. They felt that the front struts, rear shocks, right side engine mount, and wheels needed to be replaced. They did say that nothing was urgent but would not recommend driving to California. Turns out that they were accurate maybe slight over calls but when having a used car inspected prior to purchase, that is what you want, you want to know about all possible problems rather than to be surprised after you purchase the car. read more

I just had a car of mine in to get the ac repaired and I feel they dropped the ball on the repair. I've been bringing my cars, along with family and friends cars to them for years. Kyle and Val I understand some times repairs don't get repaired and you miss something. To double charge me for something your guys missed isn't right or fair. I had a plumbing company for 30 years and if I didn't stand behind my work and fix what needed fixed I would not have lasted in the business. If the problem wasn't fixed and I had to return, I wouldn't charge my customer to fix what i just repaired and Kyle told me this was a timing issue. I am sorry Kyle thats hard to believe. We drove the car home and the very next morning the ac was not working Again. So people, be careful nice folks but maybe too busy to take care of their customers the right way. Thanks read more

0 stars if I could. Wild it costs so much and takes so long and so much attitude. BBB my ahhhhhh.

Just had the best customer service from Jack's. Went to have my AC checked, I just walked in their office and told them about my AC problem and Val came out and connected his machine to my vehicle. My AC was not blowing cold air, he recharged it and now it's working great. Thanks so much for the quick service and honesty. I paid $9.99 for the check up and $19.99 for the service special to get my AC working again. I highly recommend Jack's automotive, They were wonderful and honest read more

Jack's Automotive Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

If you having air conditioning problems I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but hot air ain't one. Taken two vehicles here in the last couple Weeks for AC issues from my normal mechanics recommendation and am incredibly happy with their service, cost and speed. Ac is necessary in this uninhabitable place we call home and their 9.95 tune up is fair, honest and the repairs they are doing after are legit and well priced. Thanks guys! read more

I always get awesome service from Val and his crew. Jack's has worked on both of my vehicles. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else. Thanks Val and his crew. read more

I got a over $5,000 quote on repairs needed for my car from Big O. I took it to Jack's on recommendation from a friend and they did all the work for $2,300.00. They got it done faster than they said they would. Very honest, up front service. I would definitely go to them over a big corporate car service place every time! read more

I went there for first and last time. They fixed my car A C,but after one week seemed like my car was hit.Iwent back there I waited for 3 hours finally he said you got mechanical problem, and did nothing. They charged me 55$.I don't. Recommend any one go there. read more

These guys are awesome. I was recommended Jack's through 3 co-workers who had various repairs done there and when the compressor went out on my car I called them to pick it up... 24 hours later I picked up my car and was super please with the bill... That has never happened before. I will be back and I am recommending them to anyone looking for good honest mechanics. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER I'm not sure how Jack's got such good reviews...and I'm not the type to write a review. I'm just to busy. But, I made an exception for Jack's. I just got home from taking my car to Jack's, but, before taking it there, I read on Yelp about how they have "the best customer service", how "they're very approachable", and that they offer a "family" type of atmosphere. Unfortunately, I didn't get any of that. When I entered the office, all I got was "Fill out the form". They didn't even offer me a pen to write with. I had to lean over and grab a pen from the desk that a young woman was sitting at. And after completing the form, I looked at the young woman to submit the form to her, thinking that she might explain the process, but her attention was elsewhere, so I just placed it on Craig's desk and exited the office. That was the first red flag that told me that maybe I was in the wrong place. The second red flag was seeing other people, who came after me, being serviced before me. The third red flag was standing outside the office, by the bay, for about 45 minutes without anyone approaching me about my situation. I've been in other shops where the person in charge will approach you and explain how things work, how many cars are ahead of you, and how long you might have to wait. Got none of that at Jack's. I just stood outside and was treated as if I wasn't even there. Ultimately, I got the feeling that they didn't need or want my business. I got the feeling that I just wasn't part of the crowd they typically do business with. So, I left. Going to Jack's was a waste of my time, gas, and effort. They might be good mechanics and, I'm sure, they treat their regulars pretty well, but if you're a first time customer, I'd steer clear of Jack's and go somewhere. Jack's is the kind of place that I'd go to only if I was out in the middle of nowhere and the next closest shop was hundreds of miles away. read more

I highly recommend this family-owned business. They're honest, straight-forward, and do good work. They're also reasonably priced. I brought in a replacement part and they installed it. Normally, I go to Toyota b/c I don't really trust mom-n-pop auto places, but am tight with money, so I shopped around and am so glad I did so! Go YELP! I've needed to replace the driver's side rear view mirror for over a month...because Toyota part= $200 and Toyota labor= $110. Toyota Estimate Total: $310 and an all-day drop off. Online purchase of brand new, knock-off "after market" auto part: $45. Jack's 1-hour labor: $67. Actual Total= $112 and 1h 30m of my time. UPDATE: 2/7/2016: Recently, I bought online all new super premium bulbs for my high beams, low beams, and fog lights. I brought them to Jack's and had them installed for a total of $114 and 1-hour cost to me. I've heard from family and friends that's fair pricing. read more

I always had good service at Jack's Automotive. They don't hard sell you, they just tell you what the problem is, how much it will cost to fix it, and keep their word. All repairs were done well, and they are reasonable in prices to fix your vehicle. read more

Awesome Service, Great prices I,ve been a customer for 20yrs great hard working reliable people.

It's is now almost April of 2018 and I'm back again at jacks automotive for radiator work. I am so impressed that they are very approachable. If you need it done they are not going to sell you something you do not need.. they will even give you an option that might fit your financial situation. Yes I've been to mom and pop garages that get you on labor or manipulate you into "it's the one" type of sale... not jacks. I've been to the big chains thinking I'd save, I was wrong. Nothing jacks auto has fixed in my vehicle has had any re-accusing issue and that's a plus big time. They are usually busy so call and get there early I will be using them more when needed because they saved me my job and money and time read more

Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff! Weeks of struggling to get through emissions and Val figured out the problem in a few hours! I will definitely be back and recommend my friends and family to Jack's! read more

Been to many places over the years including dealerships and most will try to up sale stuff you don't need. Last year I tried out Jack's, there was no up sales, no bs, and my car was back on the road in less than 24 hours(tranny). Great place, the only place I will take my car! read more

Fair pricing and no upselling. These guys are good--but be warned, it's as busy as an angry beehive on Monday mornings!

Been going to Jack's for years. Honest, trust worthy, efficient and knowledgeable. Very reasonable prices. Val is the best! I won't go to any other mechanic!! read more

7 years and 30+ visits with several different vehicles and only one mistake that was corrected immediately. FYI; they can tow you in if you need it. read more

My family has been going to see Val for years. We always get the best service at a fair rate. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Brought Infinity in due to irregular idle and service engine light on. ECM/ECU main computer was haywire. Had the replacement part shipped to the shop and installed and programmed the next day! Fast and detail oriented service at a competitive rate. I am very satisfied with the service at Jacks Automotive Services and would recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Most auto repair shops are worthless liars who only want to deceive you. Well, Jack's is different. I took my camry to the toyota dealership on bell and 19th ave and they quoted me this outrageous price telling me this and that need repaired or replaced. My wife told me about Jack's. she said she took her car there 6 years ago(before we met) and they gave her honest service and cost. so, I took my car there and was baffled when I brought toyota's review sheet on my car. They said total BS on 90% of it. I love honesty and integrity. its why I took my wife's Nissan's door handle there to be replaced. I TRUST THEM!! read more

Wow . . . I called to ask what might cause the A/C on 2013 Honda Accord to work okay but then less than okay when my idling. They nailed it over the phone and then suggested that I should come in and for only $10 they would check it out. Sure enough, the freon was at a level appx 50% of where it should be (not unusual for a car almost 5 years old). They then provided me an estimate before they started work; checking for leaks, adding more freon with the dye so that leaks would show up. In less than 45 minutes and ONLY $52 later, I was out the door driving in the June 108 degrees "cool as a cucumber". Finally, I was also very impressed with the nature of this family business with at least 3 family members working there cohesively, taking excellent care of their many customers. I recommend this business wholehartedly based on my excellent experience. Go there next time you need help with you car and you won't be disappointed. read more

I have used Jack's Automotive several times for repairs. In my personal experience, I would strongly recommend Jack's Automotive as one of the top auto repair shops in the Phoenix area. Today was my lucky day, I found a fair and reputable mechanic. I called several places and got a referral to Jack's from someone I trusted. I am always leery of mechanics since I don't know that much about the workings of my vehicle. They did a brake job and other maintenance and all repairs were explained to me in detail and the need for the repair. The billing was fair and there was no attempt to sell anything that was not needed. The people are friendly and professional. I was pleased with my visit. They are now my go to place for auto repair. I will recommend them to my friends. read more
