Absolutely DELICIOUS fresh food! My Army son & I had the steak soul rolls and loved them! Hubby had a Philly cheesesteak! Tasted like Pat's in Philly!!! Well done!!!

Was in Augusta for work and ordered this place to. We've had philly's all up and down the east coast and even occasionally make them ourselves, but this was by far one of the best we've ever had. Do not sleep on this place if you're in the Augusta area. My husband, who is a cheesesteak snob, would rake a bite, close his eyes, and just say, "the meat..." It was so juicy, flavorful, with the perfect ratio of cheese to meat. Bun was soft and fresh. These people understand how to make a terrific, tasty cheesesteak and we love them for it! The only reason we're giving four stars instead of five, is that, as a combo, the side was a bag of chips. We would have rather seen fries as an option for the cost of the combo. That said, even with chips as the side, it was a solid 8/10. Fries would have taken it to a full 9.5 at least.

First time having a cheesesteak and I couldn't have picked a better spot. The food hit the mark, and the outdoor seating made it even better. My dad and I grabbed a picnic table, enjoyed the atmosphere, and our order was out in about 25 minutes. Worth every bite. Oh and don't miss out on the soul rolls!!

My cheese steak had a long piece of hair in it. Years ago my wife had a roach in her bag. We should have never went back.

The cheesesteaks were amazing! The cheese was melted perfectly and the meat was chopped up perfectly as well!

Still love this place. Great service, and I love the ambiance they have. The food is still flavorful and fresh every time we come here. If you haven't been here well, then you need to come out here fast. You will not regret it. It is an awesome, hidden Georgia gem.

This place was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything made to order, with excellent service to get your order to your expectations. We had the original and jerk Philly (would have love to add bbq sauce) with fries, for drinks my favorite the kool-aid mango peach and tea. For a chill spot, go pull up to Jackie M's & Son!

Jerk cheese steak and original cheese steak sandwiches were great. Fresh, good flavor, generous portions of meat. Quality ingredients Soul rolls were smaller than expected for the price but excellent flavor, homemade, and fresh Sweet tea was brewed very well, tasted great Food takes 30 minutes to come out. They tell you that ahead of time Workers were all very friendly Order at the counter No indoor seating Picnic tables outside

I recently visited this spot while I was out of town picking up something in Georgia. Since I'm dealing with cancer, I decided to try something new - my first Philly Cheese Steak! I chose this place based on the great reviews I found on Yelp. The scenery was amazing, with murals, music, and layout. It gave off such a great vibe. The gentleman at the window was really nice, we joked around a bit, and he made the experience even better. I'm about halfway through my sandwich now, and it's amazing. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town. Thanks for the great food and experience, blank!

Love to visit what is clearly a well loved community business, and a past Yelp top 100 winner! I came to Jackie M's on a unseasonably warm February day while in town on business, and it was actually my last meal on my way out back to North Carolina. It's a small place with no table seating of any kind, just a few places to sit and wait for your order. That said, no issues finding the place as it is very bright with lots of artwork painted on the building itself. The parking lot fills quickly and they get really busy. Always an excellent sign! I got the steak sauce philly cheese steak "Gutbuster" size which is actually like "medium" because there is a super gut buster size, and then a "Mac-Daddy-Mac". I also got an order of soul rolls because... who could resist? My order was ready in about 15 minutes and the place was really starting to have a line, so I feel fortunate I got there a little early. I wanted to eat it hot, and also not in my rental car, so I actually laid it out picnic style on top of my trunk and dove in. The soul rolls were great. Crispy shells, tasty inside, and served with honestly what might be the best ranch I've tasted. Yum! The cheesesteak on the other hand, I was a little disappointed in. The meat and cheese combo was nice, but I think the bread was dragging it down a little. It was chewy, and overpowered some of the sandwich flavor, which I didn't expect. If the bread were more fluffy and light, I think it might have made a different impression. It also could just be my personal taste, as the 5-star rating after so many review can't lie! All that said, a place with this kind of local lore and legend is a place anyone visiting should make a priority stop to form their own opinion. Thanks for serving me a filling and hot lunch Jackie M!

Service was great! Friendly, fast and helpful! Loved the painting. Food was good enjoyed the kool-aid. Our sandwhiches were good And priced fairly! The pictures I've seen had a lot more meat than what we received so we expected that. Couldn't sit inside. Fries were my husband's FAVORITE!

Outside, you are serenaded with classic soul and blues.

They have a number of stuffed and warm cookies to choose from. I couldn't decide on just one flavor and so opted for two! This was a bit of a mistake as their cookies are really large and dense which I discovered when the worker placed the first box with one cookie on the counter before me and it made an audible kerplunk. My goodness! I got their chocolate peanut butter cookie as well as a sugar cookie. When I realized how ample the cookies were, I gave the sugar cookie to the hotel clerk at my hotel, so I can only speak to the chocolate peanut butter cookie. It was sweet and delicious. I will note that their cookies are very sweet. I don't eat sweets often so the rich sweetness of one cookie was a bit much for me. Were I to go again, I'd probably split one with a friend. That said, the cookie was warm and ooey-gooey. It's kind of an inside out peanut butter cup with a peanut butter cookie surrounding a fudge-y chocolate center. If you like a chocolate/pb combo--this cookie is for you! The workers were lovely. I walked in with no familiarity with the biz and the clerk immediately gave me the rundown of their cookies and how ordering works. They were all so nice in here! From the moment you see the brick building and walk inside, you get this warm, classic Georgia café vibe. It is cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It is the kind of place you want to slow down and enjoy. We came in for lunch and everything was outstanding. I had the Curious George, which is turkey topped with spinach dip and provolone cheese on sourdough bread. It was absolutely fantastic. Warm, savory, and perfectly balanced, it felt like true comfort food done right. It also came with a fresh side salad and great dressing that honestly could have been a meal on its own. My boys ordered the chicken quesadilla and nachos, and both were big wins. The quesadilla was crispy and cheesy. The nachos were fully loaded with seasoned beef, black beans, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, plus salsa and ranch on the side. The portions were generous and the flavors were excellent. Then came the desserts. We tried chocolate cake, carrot cake, and red velvet cake. We ordered half slices and they were still huge. Every single one was incredible. The red velvet and carrot cake were made with real cream cheese frosting. The carrot cake was rich and moist. The chocolate cake was deeply decadent. Pairing the carrot cake with a cup of their coffee was the perfect finish. The coffee was smooth and flavorful and exactly what you want with dessert. We were also lucky enough to be taken care of by Reagan, who was incredibly kind, beautifully stylish, and so helpful with my boys and me. She gave great recommendations on dishes and portion sizes. Her warmth and attention truly elevated the entire experience. Between the cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, unforgettable desserts, and exceptional service, Boll Weevil is now officially a must stop every time we are in Augusta. Come hungry. So it wasn't a total surprise to find that they have decided to move to suburban Augusta. The new shopping center they've chosen was otherwise still under construction when I stopped in, but several groups of people had found this place and were shopping for ice cream. I imagine on a nice summer day there will be a line when word gets out. Not a lot of really top end ice cream around here, but this place knows how to infuse flavor. A more caramel and cookie creation complemented my dark and bitter chocolate. The chocolate came with Andes mints inside, which sounded nice but honestly could hardly be tasted because the flavor of the ice cream itself was so strong. Premium local ice cream isn't cheap, but here I did get a heaping portion size as I watched more flavors being created in the back of the shop.

I visited this place while traveling on a hot, sunny weekend right when it opened, and it was an utter pleasure. Parking: there's plenty of street parking. I parked right in front of the dessert cafe. Free parking. Ambiance: it's a dark themed place with grey walls, a luxurious plush couch, and a dungeon-ish feel. It's more Halloween themed kind of style than luxurious. It's a cute mix of orange and black-grey themes. There's soft upbeat music in the background. Right when it opens is a great time to go! I nearly had the whole cafe to myself! Dessert: I ended up getting their pineapple cheesecake with cheesecake snow. It was light, fluffy, creamy. It's similar to Korean shaved ice or a lighter Italian shaved ice. It melts in your mouth and releases the sweetness. You can build your own and they have premade flavors such as turtle cheesecake, amaretto romance, cotton candy, vampy sour, orange dream, I love you Cheryl much, Mexican candy, pina colada. I ordered large, and I could definitely finish it all for myself! This is a chain that started in California. They start with a proprietary base, mix in the flavors, freeze it into a block, shave it, and then decorate it. In addition, the worker informed me that some of the cheesecake flavors have a homemade purée, with the strawberry cheesecake being the most popular.
