While the ECU bunch is away for the summer, I decided to have lunch downtown. (After all, downtown still needs customers in the summer!: When entering I was immediately greeted and told I could sit wherever I liked. If you have never been, this place has quite the unique decor. Signed dollar bills are all over the walls, and bras are hanging everywhere as well. I like the back of a old Lincoln automobile above the beer dispenser. It looks like a dive bar, but it's actually a southern chain of about 20 locations. The food menu is burgers and fries, with create your own burger options plus specialty burgers. I ordered the GREG BRADY Burger, topped with house-made Mac N' Cheese, American cheese and Martin's BBQ potato chips plus a side of fries. Order was brought to the table with a surprisingly short wait. This was a delicious choice! Quite the flavor combination. My server and another employee kept a good check on me to see if I was enjoying the food and if I needed anything. You need to be aware that Dickenson Ave. is in a construction project that may make getting there or parking a bit more challenging.

Great food, service, and decor. Burgers and fries only, keeping it simple. Cold beers, gotta have it. Service is very chilled out but prompt. And the ambiance does not give away the fact that this is in fact a chain restaurant local to the southeastern US. Loved ending my meal with a delicious deep fried Oreo. Highly recommend!

Small dive bar-esque place. Dollar bills all over the walls. Bras hanging off the lights. Bartenders greeted me as I walked in. I sat at the bar since it was just me. 6 taps of draft. All were new releases. Ordered the skydog chelada. Mexican lager. Light and limey. Descent can options. A lot of sours, seltzers, and fruity beers. Ordered the Greg Brady. Single patty, Mac and cheese, and potato chips. Good flavor. Fries were just ok, (and an up charge). The sauce was really good though. Would certainly go back when I'm in the area.

Not a bad spot not an exceptional spot. Enjoyed my burger bit for place that calls itself a beer and burger bar, I was a little disappointed with the beer menu. Some options but not as many as I'd expected. Limited seating, dark, and basic, it's a decent spot for a quick burger but the vibe and atmosphere were a bit dingy. Also, I get when you refer to yourself as a burger bar you'd expect burgers but I'd think that most places would have an option or two. Don't come unless everyone in your party wants burgers. Fries are extra. With that said, the burger was good and the waitress was polite and attentive. Take a look at the posted picture... the burger, alone on the plate with a skinny pickle looks, meh. I don't review a lot of places as a 3 but that's exactly what this place is. Average.

This sits in college central so if you don't like places with a younger crowd, don't come. Waiter was super nice! I did notice a lot of gossiping from other employees and peering over -the place is pretty small so if you don't like when staff stares at you while you eat a greasy burger, don't come. Food was on the smaller size but it was DELICIOUS!

The burger and mixed drink were both great! Service was good as well. The only issue I had was the loaded fries. The cheese was clumped on and not melted properly. It looked and tasted like crap because of that. The cook just slathered a pound of cheese over the fries! I'll try them again I just won't order those loaded fries I guess.

Jack Brown's is where I decided to have lunch after seeing they had a burger with peanut butter so I thought I'd give that a go. It was a little hard to find the place with the road closed but figured I could walk when I fond somewhere to park. The restaurant is on the small side so there may be a wait for a table. I went with the Elvis burger that was topped with peanut butter; mayonnaise; bacon and American cheese. It was ok but nothing I'd order again. The patty was thin and I just wasn't wowed by it. I did enjoy the fries. The burger and fries came out almost as soon as I ordered so they must be cooked ahead of time. Having had a peanut butter burger elsewhere that I love and make a special trip just to eat, this one just didn't compare. If I did return I would order something else.

Great place to come if you're in the area for work and need somewhere to sit/eat dinner by yourself. I sat at the bar. The menu is pretty simple -- burgers and fries. They are definitely not using clean ingredients but it's nonetheless tasty. The fries hit the spot with their crispiness. They flatten out the burgers which eliminates their juiciness...not shwae. But it looks like the meat is high quality. Service was average, nothing mentionable. I felt a bit rushed. Probably won't go back.

This burger was packed with flavor. The patty was juicy, and the cheese melted perfectly over it. The bun was soft and had just the right amount of fluffiness. The veggies were crisp and fresh, and the sauce added a great kick. I could eat this again and again.

Jack Browns is the perfect late night bar in Greenville. Its a no frills, kick back place perfect to visit with friends. Each night they have a special burger and I recommend trying them if you enjoy new things. They have great sweat potato fries and their dipping sauce is incredible!

Hands down best cheeseburger and fries we've ever had. - EAT HERE! My husband got the Cobra Kai and I had the classic jack. Our burgers were out of this world - like, I've had one burger better than here my whole life. My husband said his burger was a smidge sweet and heavy on the cream cheese but was delicious. My burger was perfection. The fires were so tasty and don't make the mistake of skipping the cheese - my man did, and needed up adding the cheese later. Our service was great, all staff was super chill and friendly and the ambience was great. You're doing it right Jack Browns, we'll be back. Cheers!

The bartender informed us that that was an OK place to park. They opened right at one, and we were the first people in there. We inquired about food since we had not eaten lunch yet, but they were unable to let us know if their kitchen was going to open that day or not. They just started a food truck a few days prior, but that was not going to be there that day. We ordered flights and sat at the end of a really cool looking bar. I was really impressed with the fact that I liked three out of four of my beer choices. I got a stout, a blueberry cider, a prickly pear cider, and a pickle beer. Because of course we're in Mount Olive for the pickles! LOL. They will add a pickle per request! Also had sips of my besties Shake it off, the strawberry milkshake, IPA. I have never had an IPA that I liked before. We wanted to get some of the stout to go, but there was not any in the cooler. We asked Dominic, the bartender and he actually went out back to look for us. He was unable to find them, but had four behind the bar that he sold to us. We were able to add two of the shake it off to make a six pack. That was $16. Overall a great experience. The inside of the bar was lovely. The bartender was friendly and helpful. And best of all was the excellent beer. I wish this bar wasn't so far...I would definitely become a regular here!

I'd recommend parking a few blocks away and walking if you are unable to find parking nearby. Walking into the restaurant you'll be transported to a modern brewery, bookstore, and flower shop. It feels chic, Belgian inspired, and upscale. To start I ordered a Vase IPA which was excellent. I then switched to cocktails and ordered the Black Sesame Old Fashioned (bourbon, black sesame, black walnut bitters), the Dionysus (pinot noir, raspberry lemon shrub, chambord, amaretto, lemon, rhubarb bitters), and an aviation (hendricks, luxardo, creme de violette, lemon). By far the Black Sesame Old Fashioned was my favorite and what a nice touch with cracker on top of the dish. For food we ordered the Gai Lan (Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with garlic and oyster sauce), the Peking Duck (Whole, barbecued, free-range duck served with steamed bao buns, cucumber, scallions, and hoisin-honey sauce), Sweet Soy Chicken (Scallions, bell peppers, and caramelized in our ginger soy sauce. Served with jasmine rice), the Lo Mein Noodles (Stir-fried noodles with julienned shiitake mushrooms, choy sum greens, soy sauce, and shrimp), seafood dumplings (Lobster, shrimp, and scallop dumplings served in garlic and black mushroom sauce with fried Youtiao doughnuts), Chicken Curry Bao (Steamed buns filled with spicy yellow chicken and vegetable curry), the Beef with Longhorn Peopers (Sautéed beef, ginger, and longhorn peppers with Shaoxing wine sauce. Served with jasmine rice), the Xiao Long Bao (Steamed crab and ground pork soup dumplings), Nasi Goreng Crab Fried Rice (Traditional Indonesian Chinese fried rice with blue crab meat, Nam Pla fish sauce, house made Nasi Goreng sauce, served in an egg crêpe), and the General Tso's Chicken (Crunchy, sweet, and tangy, Bhavana's General Tso comes with your choice of chicken or tofu tossed in our house-made General sauce and topped with sesame seeds. Served with jasmine rice). By far our favorite food items were the seafood dumplings (excellent flavor, Chinese donuts were so good, along with the flavor from the broth), and the shrimp lo mein noodles (cooked perfectly and the sauce was perfectly distributed). Definitely check out brewery bhavana if you are looking for excellent Chinese food in the Raleigh area. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in the area.

Well, I finally got to try Brewery Bhavana and it was indeed incredible. Definitely worth the hype. We met my coworker and her partner here for dinner, and I was grateful we had a reservation because this spot was poppin' on a Monday night! The dining room is huge, but the decor breaks things up a bit and makes your meal feel intimate. Everything is shareable, so I highly recommend visiting with fellow foodies who want to try a little bit of everything. Honestly the entire menu sounded amazing, and it was hard to choose! Thankfully our servers provided some excellent recommendations. The Pork Bao was probably my favorite bite of the night, and may very well have been the best Bao I've ever had. The Lap Cheung Fried Rice was also delicious, and I'm usually not a fried rice person! Also worth mentioning is the Lo Mein, which we ordered with chicken. We didn't stay for dessert, but all of their sweet offerings sounded incredible as well. I did try one of the beers they brew on-site, the Sow. It was light and sippable, and I appreciate their diverse beer and cocktail offerings. I can't wait to visit Raleigh again because this will be my first stop!

We got home and were shocked to see the $6 kids meal was 6 very overcooked mini corn dogs and an applesauce and 6 Mac bites and an applesauce. The Buffalo chicken wrap was okay, kind of soggy, and I questioned why there would be grilled onions and cheese in a Buffalo chicken wrap vs like lettuce/ tomato, and the fries were soft.
