So, this was their first lunch opening today, as they have only been open a week. (At this location) Our first visit also for two. Three diff. mixed drinks were excellent. The mex. martini was a delight. (A lighter drink that held the over bearing flavors in check IMO) A pre taste appetizer of their home made Pimiento Cheese w/flatbread cracker was smooth and lite, and I thought of wine with it at another visit. Had the appetizer of (C&D.M.layered chunky queso) of green Chile pork, queso, and fresh quac. W/thick tortilla chips. A superior queso from the many I found so far. Get the side of salsa for a $1 more so you can finish the chips off. For our main course, 1-Pesto marinated (real) crab stuffed chicken-(grilled breast, red bell pep.&jackchez, pan seared potato- (called a cake but a fine mash that was seared and quite extra tasty), w/Cajun creme sauce, & the chef veggie (today) was a succotash that was worth bragging about as I wished they came in the freezer isle (dam good)! Flavors and prep were fantastic. 2-Chorizo stuffed pork tenderloin medallions w/roasted garlic creme sauce (that was never close to overly garlic but better IMO), chunky mashed p.tater, and the same veggies. Not one bad bite in every morsel. Outstanding. Dessert/ everything was so good we had to go for it. Had a apple cobbler w/van. ice cream & bourbon sauce that was just as outstanding to compliment the whole dining experience. (Seriously not your avg Apple cobbler) Now, we encourage them to stay on top of their game of providing this level of good food for years, exciting to us for future visits to come ! Sorry no pics, but it was well plated on dish ware that was useful to the portion sizes. Atmosphere was perfect in our opinion with a nice background music that complimented the tone of the decor. Lastly, because of the shortage of (good) available server's in the food industry today, please be patient with them as they try to serve you in as timely a manner as possible! Jack Allen's is a total rip-off. Mac N Cheese with 5 small pieces of chicken on their menu at $16.99. Stouffer's frozen Mac N Cheese would be quite better at $3.99. My friend had their fried fish, this included 4 very thin pieces of fish (could swear it was chicken), with no taste whatsoever. Our tab (didnt include alcohol) was $42.00. I have eaten at Jack Allens in Round Rock several times, but this past weekend went to the Cedar Park location on Whitestone. Eh, we went for brunch. I ordered a Bloody mary, (the habanero infused vodka one). It was disappointing, not very flavorful, bland even. It was also very strong so if you don't care about flavor, you will get a decent amount of vodka in a tiny glass. I ordered the ribeye and eggs with hash. The plate and food came out cold. The shoestring hash was over cooked to the point of burnt, it was potatoes on potatoes with a few bites of veggies. The steak was sadly dry AND cold.. My husbands chicken and biscuits were okay according to him. You can tell the plate had been sitting in the window quite some time (not under heat apparently) because the gravy had formed a film as if drying out. The waitress, Shannon was great! She helped me get my food warmed back up after I asked and kindly brought me more tomato mix to add to my Bloody Mary so that I could drink it. Don't know that we'll come here again? ‍ read more

two words: HOLY SH*T! my fiancé and i went here today for a late lunch on a whim after looking at reviews. our server, jacob, was amazing! the food? AMAZING! i have never had a fried chicken from a restaurant so juicy and tender, along with the veggies and mashed potatoes. i actually finished my plate, and i hardly ever do. the only downside was one of the forks were dirty, but i don't even care because the set came with two. the ambiance of Jack Allen's gives off country cooking mixed with rustic vibes. we will definitely be coming back!! read more

I ate brunch at the Cedar Park location this morning with my mom and sisters. Food was amazing (avocado toast - yum), and service was prompt and friendly. My food came out a little bit after everyone else's- the manager and server both apologized, and they comped my entire meal and half of everyone else's!! Not necessary, but super nice. Ordered the green Chile burger, crab dip, handmade lemonade, and sweet potato pie. First off the positive: -I want to say that the green Chile burger was really good but unfortunately that's all I would say was the positive of this order. For the negative: -I want to say that the fries on the burger were soggy and at room temperature as if they have been sitting out for a while. - crab dip had more mayonnaise than anything else on the dip itself. -lemonade tasted as if it was out of a fountain drink rather than hand squeezed. For the price I paid, I would expect better quality of the food and drink. I would not recommend this particular location at all. read more

Very Disappointed. Truly.. We went the first day Jack's opened really excited to get them in Cedar Park, even posted on next door and received 164 responses. This last time we went 12/30 everything seemed very disorganize. I ordered a Tito's Tonic it came in I believe a 4oz glass full of ice for like $8.00 just a few sips, my wife ordered a Patron Marg. came in the same 4 Oz glass for $10.00 and was probably the worse Margarita, no thought at all. So we got over the drinks, I ordered Pork dish that came out in a cold cast iron skillet with melted cheese, Luke Warm. At least they built a nice facility. Just a little more effort to be good a lot to be great. read more

First time at a Jack Allen's Kitchen. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Our waiter was obnoxious telling us how wonderful the food is and how lucky we are to be there? Ordered appetizers and drinks. Comes back to inform me they don't carry my drink. Whatever. Appetizers were decent but not what he hyped them up to be? Ordered entrees. For the love of god! Why on earth would they take a beautiful New York Strip, beat the hell out of it, coat it in batter and fry it in grease??? You might as well use chopped steak. It was a travesty to eat that gray, tough steak covered in gravy. Honestly it was no better than Luby's cafeteria in my opinion. But we sure as hell paid more. We wish this was still Roadhouse. Like so many other places, everything has so much spice even the breading for the chicken fried steak! From seating to check, we received the worst service. The hostess seated us at a tiny table by the patio door. We asked if another table was available. She went back to check and never came back. Our waitress took 30 mins to bring water, ignored our table, brought the check prior to desert and walked away mid sentence when we were discussing dessert options. would tell you about the food but i was not their long enough to sample it. we arrived and asked to be seated at 1st available either patio or indoors. after waiting about 15 min we started to notice people arriving after us being seated on patio. when we questioned this we were directed to a booth indoors. the booth was so small my 210 frame had to be wedged into the booth. we went back to the check in desk and told them we needed a booth for full grown adults and was told since we refused the booth assigned we would be placed at the bottom of the check in list with a estimated wait of 30 minutes. in other words their customer service sucked. read more
