Very Good Please for Entertainment and Dinner and our Friends Like coming and Enjoying the Fun

This was a great place to dine at the original place but tried out the new location today and the service was absolutely awful. Of course they just recently moved but they were out of two of my favorite beers so settled for wine but it was served as slow as the food order. We had to ask for a refill and ask for water. This place was real clickish you had better know someone if you wanted service. Then came the rain storm unexpectedly and do ya think they could warn the customers so they could roll up their windows??? Well maybe if they the waitstaff wasn't so busy shooting the bull with their buddies. Won't be going back for awhile! read more

Oh man, such a great looking place with an amazing story, but OMG what horrible, horrible food! It is not a pleasure to write this review, but I write it hoping to help other Yelp'ers out there. We arrived around 8:15 pm and were seated in the side room with monster truck videos playing. Not the most Irish of videos to watch, but whatever. Our waitress was pleasant but absolutely out to lunch. She forgot my wife's salad dressing twice (!) and didn't apologize. The food took about 20 minutes to come out - at least 5 minutes too long for the very few patrons in the restaurant waiting for food. She also gave my father-in-law a dish he didn't order, and my mother-in-law's meal came long after we had all had our food delivered, about an additional 5 minutes. Someone in the back must have forgotten to cook her meal. To start out we ordered pretzel sticks and this should have been a clue to how awful the main course would be: they were mildly warm and strangely wet. Clearly they came from a bag as well. No love. I had the veggie burger which was cold, flavorless and looked terrible with literally 2 strips of onion melted into the cheese. The fries were cold and had a strange taste to them. I decided not to finish them or the burger. The minus 3 starts comes from the really terrible quality of the food, the waitress's repeated forgetfulness, and the general lack of care in the actual product of J Farley's - the food. The next day my brother-in-law asked me how I like the food and I told him it was awful, and he said that had been the same experience of him, his wife, and 2 kids as well. Everyone was really disappointed. There is no pride whatsoever in the food of this restaurant and whether they were having an off-night or not, I will never step foot in this deceptively attractive restaurant again. My humble advice: go somewhere else, anywhere else. read more

Went to J Farleys for the first time. Should be advertised as an American diner that serves Irish style sausages. Most menu items come pre-made or are breaded and fried. "Americanized Irish Pub" with little to no Irish dishes. 3/4 of the menu is sandwiches and burgers, or breaded and fried. Tums should be complimentary with every meal. Needless to say, for Irish food, go to Tulsa. If you think I'm wrong, you haven't had Irish food. (Tipped 45% because the bartender complained about how few customers she's had) read more

The burger was not top notch but hey it would be fantastic while drunk. I got the F-train burger and it was okay. I didn't really get much strawberry or cream cheese flavors. I wanted a packed on glob of cream cheese but they are probably doing me a favor as the lord knows I could lose some pounds :D. The burger was salty and surprisingly not spicy at all. It had a Burnt flavor to it that lingered on my hands. I think that's from the branding on the top which was a really cool addition to the burger aesthetically. My favorite part of the meal was the fries! They were crispy and perfectly salted(Though it looked like someone took a bite from one or two). Anyways, the environment is great but the F-train was okay. Parking is limited and they do not have a happy hour. read more

First time here was for lunch and had a burger, it was pretty good, so I came back next week for dinner. They change up their draft beers regularly so when I asked about some of them the waitress wasn't sure since they were new... I asked for small taste before ordering and they wouldn't do it wanted me to by a flight. Why would I want to buy beer that I might not like? So I just had water. Ordered one of their popular dinners - it was very tasty but the chicken was hiding (there was so little meat). Wishing I could like this local pub, but they are making it difficult to be a regular. Me and my family went here for the first time it wasn't very busy it took 45mins to get our food when it came out two of the orders were completely wrong our waitress wasn't very attentive when she did come around we all were pretty much finished with our meal when she decided to ask if we needed refills. We waited over 30 min just to give our drink order...which we only were able to give because I asked the host to help us!!! We were one of only 4 tables. Our server seemed to only be interested in helping the single men (which came in after us). After finally ordering, we received our disgusting food. The grease clearly hasn't been changed and everything had an aftertaste. After notifying the manager?, he took some of the food back ...but could not remake because it would taste the same since the grease hadn't been changed!!! After a rave review from my sister in law we decided to give J Farley's a try. My dinning companion had the fish & chips. They had a good taste and weren't greasy which is exactly how he prefers his fish & chips. Aside from this nothing special. I'd guess not hand battered fish but a previous frozen battered fish. I had the bangers & mash. The bangers & mash were served lukewarm at best and quickly became cold. The serving size was more in line with what I'd expect for a appetizer or lunch special. We did visit on a Friday evening at 7:00pm. The place was fairly busy. Service was prompt and friendly. The noise level was a dull roar. After being served we did have to flag down a server and ask for silverware. Would I return? Yes. However I'd probably opt for a burger as they looked delicious. read more

Not happy at all. We live in Claremore and want to support local businesses. My husband and I stopped in today for lunch. I know they just moved locations, they did a nice job with the decor and seating. I understand how restaurants are having a hard time hiring staff but I think the owners have a responsibility to train the people they hire. Our waitress was young, sweet and clueless. The food was mediocre at best. I got the fish tacos - I know, wrong - but I've gotten tacos in non Mexican restaurants that were wonderful. Frozen breaded fried fish with no seasoning and a lot of a tangy cole slaw on top. The slaw is probably good on it's own but that's all I tasted. No salsa was with it. The hub's got the grilled chicken sandwich, it's not pounded so half the sandwich had the little point and the other half had the big end. I know burgers are their main item but if they're offering other options they should be as good. This place needs a huge dose of excitement in the kitchen - comes from the top down. read more

Service was excellent. Both ladies working were very attentive to guests. We asked our server for recommendations, ironically, she recommended burgers or tacos. We decided to try the Irish dishes since it's an Irish pub. Mashed potatoes and Guinness gravy had a good flavor but could have been more authentic Irish fare. Hubby had bangers and mash. Atmosphere is great, lighting is way to bright though and the food is very inconsistent. Sometimes good but more often not so much.

We were in town and just happened to stop here. The services was quick and good but unfortunately the food left something to be desired. Besides not tasting very good, I had some black, hairy, stringy thing in my fish. I pointed it out to our waitress and they still charged me for a dinner that I couldn't (or wouldn't) eat! We waited until the new restaurant crowd chilled. Went on a Friday evening and were seated right away. Server was prompt, friendly an attentive. I had the fish and chips. Good size portions. The fish was cooked just right, not greasy and had good flavor. It came with Cole slaw that was slightly sweet and not overly vinegary, which I liked. The fries were okay. My wife had the chicken sandwich. She said it lacked seasoning and was bland. She did like the green beans that she had as a side. read more

A great new place to go for food and or drinks! My husband had the bangers and mash. Heavenly. Dark gravy had a mystical quality to it. Couldn't stop eating. If your thing is imported beer, they have tons. They also have your regular beers and cocktails. My bloody Mary was delicious. We'll go back and try the pork rinds and onion rings, burgers and shepherds pie! Service was great, took a little bit but it's a busy place. It can get a tad noisy but any brick walled structure is like that. Adds to the bar atmosphere to me.it could really use some dark wood around the bar. It's really white and light.
