New menu and new food! One of my absolute favorite breakfast places .. why??? The food is ALWAYS CONSISTENTLY GREAT! No matter which location you hit up, it's the same quality. That is RARE. We eat here 2-3x per month. Always at the bar and always the same nice lady waiting on us. Be mindful that it's located near Johnson Ferry Baptist Church so it can get busy if you pick the hour they let out. They have new menu items! I tried the breakfast quesadillas and loved them. If you want an amazing BLT, get the BELT Sammie! If you want some of the best quesadillas, get them here! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!! Trust me, I've tried almost everything. I worked at the Brookhaven location for 3 years after having a breakfast there one day. It was that good, and my friend (who was assistant GM) needed help at the time on the weekends. We came back here yesterday to get breakfast and as usual we asked to be sat in Alexis area. She is simply the BEST!. I ordered my usual Turkey Avocado Skillet and it was soooo good, omg. I can't never go wrong with my choice. The food came out really fast too. My partner ordered the Cinco de Mayo Breakfast Burrito with chorizo, which was very yummy too. I've been to this location multiple times and it has to be my favorite. They have always made my order correct the first time, the flavor or quality of the food has always been up to par, the staff has always been attentive and friendly, the dining area is always clean. Parking is free and right in front of the entrance. Their prices are amazing and they haven't gone up much since I was in college 4 years ago!!! For less than $30 you can get a full service breakfast and be in and out in less than 30 min. read more

Stopped in for lunch around 12:00 pm on a Friday. Ordered club sandwich and coffee. I give the service 5 stars, food 2.5 stars, and ambiance 3 stars. I was seated quickly and a server was at my table about 1 minute later for my drink order, which came out quickly as did the food. The server checked in to see if everything was ok and refilled my coffee. When finished, she brought the check without me having to ask for it. So, very friendly and good service. The food was another story. The club sandwich was mediocre and a disappointment. Just kind of blah tasting. The coffee, however was good (not great, but good) . The overall ambiance was okay, but nothing special. It was clean and the staff seemed attentive. It definitely seemed like they have a loyal clientele of regular, older customers, who I'm sure love the place. I don't see myself coming back. read more

I have experienced this at this restaurant, walk to the front There are multiple, four people this time, all employees talking to and do not greet you or will not see you today. I stood there for five minutes without being offered a seat. When I called the manager back, they just said well if you come back, we'll give it a shot, total mismanagement and total lack of customer service, and as I've mentioned, this is the third time this is occurred to me. We've eaten here many times. The food is terrific. My breakfast go-to is the goddess omelet - egg whites, veggies, and feta. Yum!! The last visit, I also learned they have a flavored coffee option. I hadnt tried it before and it was a nice treat. The family has tried everything from French toast to eggs Benedict to the monte cristo. Haven't found a dud yet. The only downside is that the food is so great, there is almost always a line and wait. They do a great job of turning tables; 20 mins is the longest I've ever waited and it's usually shorter unless you have a giant group. read more

Ok, I just stopped by J. Christopher's on Johnson Ferry and Woodlawn. You would think with First Watch taking their business, the place would step it up. We walked in and the entryway smelled like dirty mop water. Then, we asked if we could sit outside. The young guy at the counter said he would check. Meanwhile, their staff just hung out chatting and goofing off - meanwhile, there was only one other couple in the place. After a few minutes of not getting a response, we left. Waitress was pleasant but service was slow and this was Thursday morning with very few customers. Place was clean so that is a plus and the coffee was okay. My first time here and I enjoyed the entire visit. The manager was very friendly and helpful, so was the server, I forget their names. The food was amazing, I had scrambled eggs, sausage, creamy grits and Blueberry crumble pancakes. They offer Mable syrup for and extra cost of $1.50, I had regular syrup which was very good on the pancakes. I was a little hesitant at first because I thought the crumble was going to be too hard on the Blueberry pancakes, however they were just right and added such a great flavor to the pancakes. The restaurant was definitely social distancing, I felt safe because all the employees had on their masks and were cleaning everything after each customer departed. J Christopher's is definitely my favorite breakfast place in the whole Atlanta area. It's is the original location of J Christopher's, and it shows in the quality of their food and service. Everyone is so friendly and hard-working here, including the hosts, servers, managers, and pretty much anyone you will interact with. The Turkey & Avocado skillet is AMAZING and so is the Chicken Quesadilla and pretty much anything else you order. I love coming here regularly and highly recommend it to everyone. read more

I want to start off by saying I absolutely love the service here. We modified a few things in our order and our server - and cooks - got every single thing right. Sometimes we come here because we crave the coffee and hot chocolates. They are massive and more affordable than your usual Starbucks grande latte. As for the food, I've never said "WOW" while eating my meal. The food is pretty bland and sometimes feels like it's been sitting out for a while. However, their menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. Dad went more of the lunch route while the rest of our family more breakfast-y. I'd say J Christopher's is very basic and bland. They have multiple locations so maybe the other ones are better. I ordered turkey bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, and a strawberry waffle. The turkey bacon was okay, the eggs were generic tasting, and the potatoes were actually disgusting and undercooked. It's as if they didn't use seasoning! The waffle batter was amazing honestly. Its honestly just a plain waffle with strawberries and whipped cream on top. As far as the strawberries they were fresh and not sweet. The server only came to drop our food off. Not once did she check on us or offer to refill our water glasses. I probably won't go back. read more

Dined here with a party of 8 on Sunday morning. We were sat as soon as we arrived. They were very well staffed and often had several employees helping to take care of us. Coffee was good and fresh and I don't think any of us (other than the kiddos) ordered the same breakfast. Everyone seemed to enjoy their choice. I ordered the Crunchy Blueberry Pancakes made with granola which somehow didn't make it to the table with the others at first, but were made quickly thereafter.They were fine, but I didn't finish them which leads me to believe I wasn't that impressed by the quality although the idea was good. I tried a bite of my boyfriends corned beef hash and was unimpressed. The sausage links did look pretty hearty, I almost ordered a side of these but didn't. This was a good choice for a large group and since I'm no expert on dining options in the area I feel a bit torn on how many stars to give. I often review breakke joints using the scale, Can I make a better tasting breakfast at home? and how do they hold up next to other breakfast places I really like? Christopher's had some of the best breakfast and brunch food that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I used to think IHOP was one of the better places to eat breakfast, but J. Christopher's took that title away the moment I sank my teeth into their food. IHOP is not even in the same league as these guys. What is great about this place is the sheer variety of breakfast, brunch and lunch items that they offer on their menu. It took me nearly 15 minutes to come to a decision about what I wanted to order, and even when I told the waiter what I wanted deep inside I knew I still was not sure if I made the right choice. They have typical breakfast food like pancake, eggs, bacon, etc. But they also have a variety of different crepes on the menu. I actually ordered the Berry Crepe, which was basically a crepe filled with blue berries and strawberries topped off with whip cream. The portion was so large that I was nearly full before I even started eating the second crepe; however, I persisted eating because of the sheer joy and ecstasy the berry crepe delivered to my taste buds. My only complaint about this place would be the particular waiter that I had. He did not really seem like he wanted to be there that day. He also brought me a lemonade when I ordered a coffee. Out of five times I've been here, I've had something missing from my order at least twice. Once is a mistake. Twice is a pandemic. I was struck by the young staff, all high school aged, who were attentive, polite and incredibly kind. The staff is very rude, I was a regular there for about 3 months & we had 1 good waiter the entire time. Every time i've entered their staff ignores me(22) until the other member of my party approaches the podium (which I find to be very disrespectful) and even then we are ignored for quite a while. Even when it's slow it takes a very long time to get a waitress to our table. Do not waist you're time at this location with rude staff. Head on down to the j christopher's on roswell road.
