Awesome sushi and the rolls are large. They have a wide variety of rolls and every one we've had, was exceptional and tasty. They've spoiled our sushi pallets and we're hard pressed to go anywhere else. We haven't tried the hibachi menu, but it looks good and we heard rave reviews from those that have. Only downside was when my wife asked the hostess for a table instead of a booth (I was in a wheelchair), they got huffy and asked, "can't he scoot in?" and then made us wait despite having available tables in the sushi section. I live in Spring, and I'll admit it's hard to find a good ramen place that's conveniently close by. I've been meaning to try Iza Robata, but I'll have to say I was really disappointed. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen, which is something I order often at ramen places. The noodles were good, and the bowl was very aesthetically pleasing. The service was also great, and the ramen came out quickly. However, the pork wasn't the soft pork belly I was expecting and was actually very chewy. That would've been alright, but the slice was way too big and I kinda ended up eating the whole thing because it was too chewy to break apart. The broth was also not that creamy and more watery. Finally, my biggest disappointment was that the egg cake COLD. They clearly just popped it out of the fridge and into the broth. My whole family also got ramen, and these issues were present in all the bowls. The atmosphere was pretty cute, and it was relatively calm on a Friday night. I would've given this 2 stars, but a bonus point for being the only ramen place in the area so close to home. If I come back, I probably won't order ramen. read more

So found this place on the Yelp app been doing a lot since we moved to Tomball. Boy we miss the heights but we have been finding hiding gems and this one definitely is! We walked in thinking sushi but no sushi here we saw the menu first and reviews decided to give it a try. We were pleased beyond! Small menu and food took a bit both great signs! They have rice dishes I went with the curry chicken.. I've had plenty chicken this was amazing it's a thicker sauce absolutely enjoyed it. Ordered 2 bao.. pork belly and duck. Both real good dishes. The best you can get without having to travel all the way to downtown Houston. When you think of any place that's "Robata" or fireside-cooking, you instantly have some go-to dishes you would immediately think of. This is the only robata restaurant on this side of town at all (as of April 2019) and it doesn't disappoint. Due to the demographics of this region I'll briefly explain that while this is indeed a japanese restaurant. It's not solely a sushi restaurant. They have items that contain "sushi"-like items like their Poke Bowls, but this is indeed a fireside-cooking restaurant. This means that their specialty lies within grilling/chargrilling your food. Their menu isn't limited to just grilling/chargrilling (as they have other items like ramen, baos, curry, hibachi, poke bowls, etc). What I got: - Pork belly skewers - Chicken skewers - Beef skewers - Hibachi steak - Iga Sugatayaki - Pan Fried Gyozas - Sweet Salmon Bowl - Pork Belly Bao - Banana Split (Red Bean, Vanilla, and Green Tea Ice Cream) Between the skewers - surprisingly my favorite were the chicken skewers. The whole fried squid (Iga sugatayaki) was awesome and comes with 3 different sauces to dip in. Another favorite was the Pan Fried Gyozas, get that! I live around the area and think it's great that there is a ramen/ poke place near by. Last time I was there I had their spicy tuna poke bowl. One thing that stood out was the fresh vegetables and avocado. The poke bowl was very refreshing. The tuna was okay not enough sauce but over all I enjoyed my food. read more

Hubby and I tried Iza Robata for the first time and were impressed with their foods. Our favorites were the unagidon, pork belly skewers, soft shell crab poke, and ika sugatayaki. Everything was so delicious and super tasty. Will need to go back to try their ramen next time. We went there for dinner on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded at all. This is local so when the Japanese Ramen need calls, we answer it here. There has been both good and bad which is why its lacking the last star. The broth on occasion has been a little lacking. For the 72 hour beef ramen, the broth was good, but something about the brisket combined with it didn't meld as well as I hoped it would. It felt like eating 2 separate dishes flavor-wise. The Pork Curry Katsu was great. The plating was surprising and cute. Takoyaki is a must order for us every visit. The seaweed salad was also really good. Decor inside is quite nice. I had the grilled squid and the pork katsu curry. Both were a fairly large portion size for a reasonable price. The squid was a good sized appetizer to share with a group of 3 - 4 people. When the pork katsu came out, it was a bigger portion of food than I thought it was. I couldn't finish the curry, but it was good. The only complaint that I have is that I wished the curry flavor was stronger. Other than that, the amount of rice, curry, and pork that you get is reasonable. I can't remember the exact name I'd the dish my sister ordered but halfway through eating she found a bug in her food . It looked disgusting. Good food the rice reminds me of Benihana but here the portions of meat are very generous in size. We got the meat skewers which are perfect size we got the pork belly, chicken breast, wagyu steak. My son had the ramen which was soo delicious the broth had great flavor, the portion is generous so if you can't eat a lot definitely share the bowl is huge.
