Great place to grab a quick bite. Came in here during thunderstorm for lunch. Ordered Iza Poke Bowl. It was a great choice. It came with a Salmon, Tuna, avocado, seaweed, mixed green and rice. The sauce was light and it tasted delicious!

The food at IZA Robata is always very good. I had the chicken Ramen meal and it was very tasty along with the steamed dumpling appetizer. I have also had the chicken friend rice an hibachi in the past and truly enjoyed it. The staff is always friendly and seated us quickly. They also periodically check on us, refill drinks and make sure we are enjoying the food. The restaurant is very comfortable abd clean. Stop by IZA Robata today to enjoy some Ramen or Hitachi.

We were hungry after Renaissance. This is a solid spot. Prices were good and not outrageous for the area. The portions were good and filling. Service was quick. The place was clean and nice. Poke bowl 5/5 Tasty with lots of fish and rice. Soft shell crab 4/5 Tasty but the one you ate the crab, just rice left. It was a generous amount of rice. You can tell when a owner takes time in their business in the food lighting and most importantly wine selection. Absolutely love coming here it is definitely one of my Ramen sushi destinations. The staff is always polite and attentive. Two of my favorite things to get are The 72 hour Ramen and the Unagi bowl.

I don't know what food critics call an "umami" flavor for some foods, but if it means really salty ramen, then this restaurant does it in spades. I ordered the iza poke, which, from the description on the menu, seemed like the tastiest of the poke options. I wanted to avoid meat because it's pretty much what my family and I have had in our entire time here in Houston. What I don't understand is their poke seems to have been mixed with a salad. Who puts lettuce and cherry tomatoes in a bowl of poke? The seafood ramen was so salty. As was the takiyoki and the gyoza dumplings, though that was tasty. I also ordered the mango boba tea, and it was really sour. I think I'm coming down with a sore throat so I decided to order some warm water like my mom and aunt did. It came out scalding hot. How hard is it to make warm water?

Very clean, attentive service and the menu was great. Also pretty affordable so you can try different things. Worth the drive. The only issues we had was the chicken was way too big for the bao itself.

We were starving and wanted something different. This spot is somewhat hidden. Nice seating area outside and the vibe of the inside is upbeat. They have a full bar and perhaps that's what they pride themselves on because we were not impressed with the dishes. We got grilled edamame, shrimp dumplings, spicy Thai shrimp ramen and hibachi shrimp. All dishes but the edamame and hibachi shrimp were bland. The ramen was just spicy. The best part of the ramen was the boiled egg and shrimp but I'm pretty sure the shrimp was grilled with the others before adding it to the ramen. Not saying that this spot is a no go. It just wasn't hitting the spot for us. I'm sure that since they had a few condiments on the side that they're expecting the customer to flavor as they'd like. Service seemed possibly tired or had too much on her plate because we'd ask questions or respond to her and she'd just have a blank stare but she was also serving a larger party next to us. I can understand that and let that pass. Overall, give the spot a try. Perhaps it was just an off night.

We love this place! Everything we've tried is delicious. We've tried almost every ramen, my favorite is Spicy Miso Ramen and my boyfriend's favorite is the Tonkotsu. The pork is great and nicely charred up. It comes with all the ramen essentials. We used to be hardcore Jinya fans but the ramen here tastes better and is less expensive because you don't hVe to pay for a bunch of extras like a seasoned egg. We've tried several skewers, beef, chicken, and wagu all great and they can customize the seasoning for you like salt, spicy, or teriyaki. The mochi desert is soooo good! Our absolute favorite is the shrimp tempura appetizer. Perfectly fried with a delicious sauce! The service is always on point and they are super friendly and helpful! Quick and friendly service. We got a variety of stuff off of their appetizer and robata menu. My favorite is the shrimp tempura. The shrimp was not overly cooked and tasted perfect in the tempura batter. I had to get a second order. Yep it was that good!! We came here thinking that it's a sushi joint. Not what we expected but our fault for not researching in advance. The place has a nice decor and feel to it. We will most likely be back. read more

I am a frequent customer for dine in and takeout. Their food is fresh and great tasting. Always consistent and the service is fast, friendly and attentive. I have not had one bad thing on the menu. Love the bao, rice plates and poke bowls especially. I've also ordered thru UberEats and they pack up everything very secure and impossible to be tampered with. Even drinks! Came here on a whim. Ordered Pork Belly Bao, Soft shell cra Bao, Garlic Wings, and Chicken skewers. The baos were good, but not for the price. The garlic wings had nothing garlic about them, they tasted like curry wings and had very little flavor. I was really disappointed. The skewers were also a waste of $$ they were just plain chicken barely seasoned. The dipping sauce helped. I would go back to try the ramen, maybe that is what they're known for, but I don't think the appetizers are worth the price. read more

Me and My husband got a to go order today, and it was amazing. He got the shrimp ramen and said the noodles were really well done, the shrimp were fresh and huge, and the broth hit all the right notes. I got the Japanese Spring Rolls and the pork belly baos. The spring rolls were crunchy and delicious, and the pork belly baos were perfect. They even beat our longtime favorite bao place Fat Bao on Kirby in the pork belly department. Their bao itself was soft and fluffy, and the pork belly literally melted in my mouth. And we dont even have to drive all the way to Kirby for it. I absolutely LOVE this place. I tried it for the first time a few weeks back & have had it 3 times since! The beef ramen, chicken ramen & miso ramen are all delicious but beef is my personal favorite. You have the option to make it spicy or normal. Spicy is SPICY but still soooo good! I always make sure to get the pan fried dumplings. They come 6 per serving & to die for! They have a cute little bear that walks around & hands the kids lollipops. The restaurant is a decent size, cozy & quiet & their waiters are so attentive & kind. I will definitely be a regular here :) read more

Everything is so awesome here and fresh and tasty!!! We've dined in on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed it so much that the following Friday we did door dash food delivery from here! We've had Beef bao--- a favorite! Soft shell crab bao - husband loved too! Spicy edamame- lots of flavor! Hibachi shrimp - lots of veggies which I loved, good size portion of shrimp, and rice Salmon and tuna poke bowl - my husband had this and he enjoyed it but it wasn't enough food for him. (Granted we both had a small lunch so we were super Hungry by time we had food delivered.) Staff friendly as well :) read more

If you are looking for a classy atmosphere and good Ramen, look no further. They make all of their food from scratch. If you are craving for some Tiger Den level ramen, but live in the North side of Houston, you should check it out. I tried the Spicy Miso Duck Ramen, and it was great. I found this place on Yelp. I'm not often drawn to Asian restaurants because they are often like BBQ places. They all seem to have the same items with very similar taste. This place sets itself apart by creatively adding unique flair and flavor to the food. I had the fried pork curry. The curry flavor was mild, with an Asian twist. The presentation was outstanding and the service was great. I never would have stopped at a strip center restaurant like this had I not seen the photos on yelp. Great place. This place was absolutely amazing and accommodating. They had plastic silverware for kids which is super nice. Vegetarian Ramen - probably the best Ramen I've had in NW Houston. Great veggie option including a vegetarian bao and a nice milk bubble tea. I added the grilled tofu for an additional charge but the tofu was pre-cooked/fried and very tasteless so I wouldn't recommend that. Their mochi ice cream was pretty great as well. We ordered some food online from IZA Robata. When we arrived they didn't have it ready - they tried to say the had not received the order and then realized they just hadn't checked their online orders. So we waited. Then we got the food and came home - a 25 minute drive, and they got the order wrong (did not pay attention to the special requests at all) and there was NO BROTH with the ramen. Now they are not answering their phones when I am calling for a refund. Not professional at all. read more

I don't know if the chopped garlic wasn't toasted enough or whether the amount of the black garlic oil was too little, but it wasn't garlicky enough. The broth was mild in flavor. It looked creamy enough, but maybe it was diluted down to stretch it more? I have a feeling that if you stuck the broth in the fridge, it wouldn't solidify (which is a clear indication that it's either been diluted down or the pork bones to make it weren't cooked long enough). We're in Houston, there are SO many good ramen places, so I wouldn't come back here again. Not awful, but not great, just meh.

I'd expect the food to be fresh at those prices. Then she quickly snatched it out of my hand and left. I did hear a soft sorry as she spun around. She went off to tend to other tables. But later in the meal I did hear her talking in the back with a man in Chinese about how a customer was complaining about a small bone in l their food. Guess she doesn't know I speak Chinese. At the end of the meal, I asked our waitress if she was the owner. She said no, quickly followed by a "the owner is not here today". Then I asked whether the owner was Chinese. Super duper long pause, followed by a soft spoken yes. Well, my favorite place in Memphis is also Chinese owned. I think many of the Japanese restaurants are. Ah well.

They have many other food options like their ramen and rice bowls that I would love to try on future visits.

I had the wrong impression about this place because of the "Ramen" in the name and its location. Anyway, I finally made it in for a nice dinner of dumplings appetizer and the spicy pork ramen. The food exceeded my expectations. The dumplings are not your usual Chinese restaurant dumplings. They're made on location and are way better - fresh, with lots of flavor. The ramen reminded me of the pho I've had in trendy Las Vegas Chinatown locales. Every bit as tasty. The decor of the place was unexpectedly classy - dark wood with nice accents - well executed. The prices are below what you'd expect for such a nice place and the quality of the food and service. A glass of wine for $5? ... I haven't seen that anywhere since the 1990s. Celebrated my mother's 90th birthday. Our waitor was Ryan who was very attentive and gave excellent service. The dimsum was very good except for the tripe which was lacking flavor, could use more spice. We decided to venture out beyond dimsum and ordered Chinese salted fish fried rice, beef chow fun and salt/pepper fried squid which was very tasty but portion was small for the price. The owner is very receptive on making sure that they improve from listening to their customer's critics which is a great sign of excellence. Great service and good food. Nice neighborhood find! Do not let the BBQ on the sign keep you from going like it did us. We did not think the combination was a good idea and stayed away for quite some time. After hearing from several friends that they love the place we went and gave it a try. They do not serve traditional BBQ and should remove that from the sign! However, the rest of the dishes we have tried and been very good with fantastic service!
