This is my first time here, everything your head was excellent. Me and a buddy split everything we head, started with the Takoyaki (like super soft squid pancake hush puppies), then we had the soft shell crab bao's & finally we finished with the Spicy Duck Ramen (added pork and extra onions, next time won't forget extra poached egg). The takoyaki was great-- soft, fluffy, good amount of squid. Soft shell crab had a nice crunchy fry on it, good size too. The ramen was good, my only complaint is usually ramen is really hot when served, almost mouth scalding, we eat the sauce your crab first since both dishes came up together. The ramen had not been sitting there that long, and when we ate it the broth was not as hot as were expecting. Flavor was great don't get me wrong. I will most definitely be back!! First, let me tell you that our waiter and the staff were exceptionally wonderful. They were cheerful, unimposing, prompt, and sweet. Most of the stars from this review are, in fact, because of the service. Best things: - Bao - the buns are perfectly cooked and filled well. There's a lot of flavor packed into the pork belly here. Well done indeed! - Beef and shrimp - one of our party had a hibachi style meal and it was really nice. Things that can never be compared to quality experiences elsewhere in Houston (and I say this with regret): - Ramen; as fans of Tiger Den, Izakaya, and Samurai, we know nothing will compare to #1, #2 and #3 in our opinion. We had hopes, however, that this would hold up close to the level of Jinya, Tatsu-ya, or Ramen Jin. It didn't. It won't. - Poke Bowls - there are so many corner places to grab a decent poke bowl now in Houston that I wasn't THAT surprised to see them on the menu here. But - imitation crab? Spring green mix? These are not things that belong in a poke bowl (and then there's the overcooked rice issue...). I really wish this place had lived up to its hype. If you are a foodie, if you are a fan of ramen (or poke bowls), this isn't going to be a first choice. But the service was fantastic and if we were in that corner of the world, we might go back just for that...and a bottle of wine. read more

This place is a little gem. We made reservations on Yelp but didn't need them. We were seated immediately and were served quickly. The menu offers great variety and the prices are crazy low for this type of cuisine. We ordered the pork bao, shrimp dumplings, soft shell crab poke, shrimp tempura poke, and hibachi steak. I was expecting small portions because of how low the prices were but the portion sizes were very reasonable! The service we received was also amazing. The waitress Thi was very attentive and we didn't lack for anything during our entire meal. We will be back! read more

So authentic Chinese and Japanese food! And food is very clean and fresh! Best salad I ever had! And the soft crab! I went to this restaurant when I travel in Houston. I really miss the food there! I would also like to express my respect to the owner, who is a decent, modest, and super excellent chef. Although he say he is not a professional chef, he just like cooking good food. He is much better than a professional one. I have to mention that I am very allergic and sensitive to MSG. And this restaurant has NO MSG at all. Real good food should not come with MSG! I love ramen and we came here for Mother's Day. Everything was delicious and made fresh. We ordered a gazillion appetizers, edamame, gyozas, crab croquettes, the furakake fries, and both duck and pork belly baos and everything was delicious. My husband and I both had the miso ramen and it was so flavorful, and brimming with toppings; the chasu was on point. My son liked his fried rice. My daughter was meh about her chicken teriyaki but I think it's just bc she thought it would be breaded and fried, like katsu, with teriyaki sauce. We drove a little further than normal for ramen, as there is a Jinya right by our home, bc this place has a more extensive menu and we are glad we did! The service was very fast and everyone was so sweet and courteous. Will definitely come again. read more

Ordered from Uber eats and they forgot the milk tea. They have forgotten another item another time before which is okay and not a big deal, I went to go pick the milk tea at the restaurant which defeats the purpose of uber eats. The host was incredibly rude and asked "are you sure it wasn't there" insinuating it was either the drivers or my fault for what happened. He continued to ask questions to check with my drivers even though it was the restaurants mistakes and was overall completely unapologetic and didn't want to give me the milk tea I had payed to arrive. Overall was a really bad experience this time which is really unfortunate. read more
