The menu has nothing worth the price and honestly the food isn't very good. Service was slow and the wait staff was not attentive.

At one time, was renamed the Five Star Dive Bar. The name is fitting as the food is definitely five star and it was a dive bar. They have added a nice open air section with tv's that is great in the summer. When you walk in through the main entrance, you might not expect the type of food this place puts out. There are rotating daily specials on the chalk boards that are always good, but a bit pricey for "bar" food. However, the food offerings are one of the best in the area. My favorites here are the calamari filet sandwich served on pita (only had it in the summer), their spicy chili with three proteins (also seasonal) and their couscous with chicken (may not be offered anymore or by request). I have tried most of the menu and everything is good. If you are heading to the beach, great place for a bite. Insider tip: if not in the mood for a heavy meal, they also offer a lot of "bar" dishes like sliders. read more

Great little place for food and drinks! Came in for dinner on a weeknight, very relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was delicious and not what you'd expect from a itty bitty "dive bar". Everything looked delicious and was served quickly. My only complaint is there was no printed beer list, would have liked to read more about the selections instead of picking from the chalkboard. We started our vacation here for lunch on the way to our house. They have a very limited menu, and the server was not super attentive. They weren't very busy and they didn't look shorthanded so I'm not sure what the issue was. A few of us got salads and were less than impressed, the honey Dijon dressing although homemade it is heavy in the honey department. I left feeling hungry. We have been here and handful of times but usually just to stop in for a bud light and rarely any food. Finally had some dinner on our last visit. I had the chicken sandwich which surprised me coming out on a sub roll and it was good. Could've used a bit more chicken than breading but that could've just been my luck. The fries were a mix of hand cut and thick rectangle fries that were undercooked. The draft beer list wasn't all that great. Some summer locals but the other 2 I tried didn't taste all that great. Grew up in Holland. Used to love this bar. Until last Saturday, January 12, my mom was treated horribly. She ordered one drink for 3.50, didn't run a tab, tipped 1.50. $5 dollar charge. Checked her bank statement the next day, she had an additional $40 dollar charge. The first manager she spoke to was going to refund her money. The second manager, Mike, was rude and refused to refund the charge. She went into the restaurant to talk to him. He was completely unprofessional, denied they overcharged her, regardless of her bank statement as proof, blamed her for the mistake. And then proceeded to throw $40 across the counter at her. Absolutely no respect for any establishment who employs someone that would treat anyone this way! read more

The atmosphere is divey but clean and well organized. The noise volume is loud when full. The food is surprisingly good and portion size is large. The food cost is fair, and the butcher and fish menu changes daily. Limited craft beers on tap which rotate with each keg. Many bottled craft beers available. I recommend the BBQ meatloaf. Very impressed with the Itty Bitty. It has a very interesting menu - far from the usual fare found at most restaurants in this price category -for example, bone marrow appetizer (which I did not try). I had the veggie pizza which was loaded with goodies like fresh mushrooms, artichokes, fresh tomatoes, spinach, red onion all on a very thin, crispy crust, similar to the now closed Via Maria from where the chef came. Their BLT is bacon, fried green tomatoes and arugula served on a folded pita. Their patio seating is a huge plus - even though it's a little noisy from traffic along Ottawa Beach. I would recommend expanding their beers on tap - only 4 I believe. For us non-microbrew people, a choice other than Bud Light would be appreciated. All in all, I highly recommend this place. read more

I love this place. I was skeptical when we first moved nearby because it says on the outside that it is a "dive bar" but the food in here is absolutely amazing. I'd highly recommend the Hanger Steak, the Buffalo Chicken Dip, the Nachos, the Fish Tacos, and their Summer Salad. The food is all prepared beautifully and full of flavor, so it feels like an upscale restaurant and not a dive bar! Also their patio in the summer has cute lights hanging from the ceiling so it has a fun atmosphere. There are apparently live bands on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays but I have yet to visit on one of those nights. I'll post a tip about it if I do! read more

I think the Itty bitty bar is always a fun time. I usually stop in early evening with friends for dinner and drinks. They recently just changed there menu and everything I have tried is awesome. They are giving it the name Five star dive bar and I think that fits the description perfectly. The other night I had the special which was Ahi tuna with grilled summer squash, paired with a risotto and goat cheese cake that was slightly fried on the outside. This meal was amazing! A few of my other favorite things on the new menu are the chicken and waffles with a blueberry bourbon maple syrup (not healthy I know, but amazingly good), Lobster mac and cheese, along with a very nice goat cheese and apple salad. You should all check it out whether it be for just a cocktail or dinner and drinks! p.s. They have done some revamping on the inside since the no smoking ban...looks a lot better!! read more

Nothing compares to an excellent burger. This might be the best tasting and cheapest burger I have ever found anywhere, ever. $6 for a couple ounces of beefy perfection. The bun, delicious and able to hold everything together. The toppings and sauce and whatever they put on it I don't even know, scrumptious. The burger itself, the beef, juicy and tender and flavorful. Put it all together and its one of the best things you will ever put in your mouth. And it comes with Fries, and they are great too! Man. Only downside is, it can take a little time to get the food so if you are starving or on a time schedule then this place is not for you. But, can you put a time limit on delicious perfection? Idk. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for this burger, and usually it's no more than 15 min. read more

Quality varies a lot here. Tonight was a special dinner for us. We ordered the Chicken Parm. It was a hunk of deep-fried, hard, dried-out chicken. I wouldn't have served this to my dear dog. A lightly sautéed piece of chicken with a rich red sauce topped with melted cheese was on my mind when ordering. I needed a steak knife to cut through it, but that wasn't brought to the table. Instead, I sawed through with what I had for a knife, trying to get a few good bites. The server offered to remake it, after halfway done. Ughhh. Who wants a whole new meal after that. Came out here on Wednesday aka The Biggest Bar Night of the year. Nate Holley was playing and we specifically made the trek across the state to see him. Long story...I'll spare you the details. We showed up early and grabbed a couple spots at the bar as standing for the entire night didn't sound enjoyable. The place was moderately busy for the post-dinner timeslot and proceeded to fill up as the night went on. It seemed like they had everything under control as far as crowd management goes. The menu had some unique items on it and after reading the Yelp reviews, I was excited to try some food. We split the buffalo chicken dip and the BLT Mac. We didn't over analyze the menu, so when the BLT Mac came out, it wasn't what we expected. It was essentially two bricks of (delicious) fried mac and cheese wrapped in a soft pita with lettuce, tomato, ranch - I think, and bacon. It was amazing. The buffalo chicken dip was also very very good. There was a solid amount of chicken in there as well. Overall, very impressed with the food. The atmosphere was good and the crowd was friendly (with the exception of a few of your typical overimbibers). Nate Holley did a great job and for being a one-man-show, he's definitely worth checking out some time. I hope to be able to venture out here again some time. read more

Appears to be a decent bar...but it turns out to be an incredible restaurant with a very creative and well executed menu. Can be loud, but who cares as you savour the delicious local fare. It is very rare that I will ever give a place 5 stars, however Itty Bitty is well deserving of this rating. While it's not much to look at on the outside, and a bar type atmosphere on the inside, they serve premium food that you would typically find at only a high end restaurant. They always have a Butchers Choice and a Catch of the day, both of which are outstanding. Their menu is simple, yet gives you plenty of options from Pizza, to pasta, to burritos and nachos. This isn't your average bar food however, everything you order is top notch and far more flavorful and inventive than anything you would typically order. First time here. We split the crab dip (greasy chips tasting like they were cooked in old oil). I had the fried chicken which was over cooked. My friend had the pulled pork sliders which were chunks of pork not shredded. We both had upset stomachs and thought the meal was poor. We were there on a Saturday night around 8. Seem to cater to local clientele in lower 30s and not a good place for people from out of town. Thanks for the feedback - we come to Holland bi annually for a girls weekend and appreciate the offer to return but not willing to take the chance again, our symptoms were identical and we shared the food. It's seems like it's off the beaten path, but worth the stop in. We came in to catch the Lions game, and it was comforting to see the regulars seated at the bar. The staff was pretty attentive, and the nachos were really tasty here. We went later on a Friday night - had just gotten off the lake - and needed a place to go. It was the first place i experienced in holland, and I knew right away that it was going to be a good weekend. At least, if this little bar was an indicator of how it was going to be, it was going to be just fine. I had a club sandwich, and it would have been perfect if my order had just been put in correctly. My only complaint? I asked for no bacon, and they put bacon on there. Luckily, it was easy to pick off. I love the ambiance of the itty bitty bar, but I'm my opinion it was a bit loud. Hard to have a conversation with the people you're dining with. We did go pretty late on a weekend, but it shouldn't be too loud to talk (because of the music.) Overall enjoyable. I'd go again! read more

It's more than just a bar- The first time I was here I wasn't sure what to expect of the nondescript building next to a gas station that wasn't really that close to anything- What's a "five star star dive- bar?" -- I think it's this: A casual, locals mostly joint that serves a pretty good tap list and the usual suspects while also serving real tasty food- not just bar food. Their burger is a delicious classic style and comes with fries, as all burgers should- stop giving people chips and up charging for fries- at something like $7 is reason enough to stop in I'd probably go five stars if they consistently had a better tap list but the burger is five stars along with some other really tasty menu options FYI- very busy on the weekends nights read more

This is a solid but not in any way remarkable restaurant, other than having a pretty good selection of beers on tap. We visited on an uncrowded Thursday evening. Service was about average - not overly fast or attentive, but they got it done, and we never had the "I wonder where our server go to" conversation. We sat outdoors, which is entirely covered, so it would work even if it was rainy (which it wasn't). Vibe is very casual, there were couples and what appeared to be after-work folks, you sit at nice patio furniture type tables. Food was good, again not particularly flashy, but tasty and there is a good range of options. My wife had the burger, I had the fish tacos. The burger was very juicy and delicious. The fish tacos were fine - the fish perhaps a little overdone, but adding Sriracha sauce (which is present at each table) compensated for the dryness and added the zing I wanted. We also split dessert - the Interracial Cowboy sundae. Not sure where the name comes from, but it's a heated brownie with a chocolate-chip cookie and salted caramel gelato on top. And maybe 5 minutes later our dinners showed up. Fish and chips are not so good cold so we stopped working on nachos to eat our dinner.
