Matt Nyland is an excellent bartender. He made me a boulevarde and it was phenomenal! I would recommend him as a bartender any night of the week. At the very least, have confidence in him making your specific cocktails. I was pleasantly surprised and I am a bartender , who by nature, has high standards. 2 thumbs up! Go here whenever for whatever. The food is excellent no matter what! But Matt is the boss bartender on staff. ;) Enjoy your visit. read more

Smells so bad when you walk in. Like old dirty rag water. Beer wasn't cold, their glasses seemed dirty (they smell like dirty water). Probably will never be back. Thank god I wasn't hungry. read more

Food was great. Service was excruciatingly slow and inattentive. Read the previous reviews and hopped in for a sandwich and beer. We went in at 7pm on a Sunday. We sat on the covered patio which has no air flow and it's a hot day but that was our choice. Waiter was helpful and friendly while we ordered. Unfortunately, we waited an hour and 7 minutes for a sandwich and a burger. Once we got our food delivered by someone other than our waiter, mine was wrong. No one was remotely close to us to ask for help. My burger was cold by the time I could eat it. Then our bill was screwed up too. We were charged for a pitcher on one of the pints. If we would have been notified that they were behind, or apologized to for the excessive wait, it would have been acceptable. If someone would have checked on us once our food was delivered, that would have been better too. If the inside was air conditioned or the outside had some sort of air flow, I might have not been as upset by the wait. With all of the options available, I can't imagine returning. read more

This is a solid but not in any way remarkable restaurant, other than having a pretty good selection of beers on tap. We visited on an uncrowded Thursday evening. Service was about average - not overly fast or attentive, but they got it done, and we never had the "I wonder where our server go to" conversation. We sat outdoors, which is entirely covered, so it would work even if it was rainy (which it wasn't). Vibe is very casual, there were couples and what appeared to be after-work folks, you sit at nice patio furniture type tables. Food was good, again not particularly flashy, but tasty and there is a good range of options. My wife had the burger, I had the fish tacos. The burger was very juicy and delicious. The fish tacos were fine - the fish perhaps a little overdone, but adding Sriracha sauce (which is present at each table) compensated for the dryness and added the zing I wanted. We also split dessert - the Interracial Cowboy sundae. Not sure where the name comes from, but it's a heated brownie with a chocolate-chip cookie and salted caramel gelato on top. Delicious! read more

Awesome place. Great food. Be ready for some BIG portions. Nachos were ginormous. Fish and chips were delicious. Only giving 4 stars as nachos showed up and it is huge. And delicious. And maybe 5 minutes later our dinners showed up. Fish and chips are not so good cold so we stopped working on nachos to eat our dinner. This is on the kitchen for not timing it out better could have given us a little more time. read more

This is the 4th time I've eaten here. I am a local and word of bad service or declining food quality can hurt your business. Tonight's service and quality was pretty darn poor. Let's start with service. The talk blonde waitress was quick to take an order. When asked for sugar for the ice tea, 5 minutes went by before she placed a cup of Sweet & Low and walked away saying "I can't find any sugar". She never heard my wife say that she doesn't use Sweet & Low. In dismay we stopped another waitress who quickly brought sugar. However, the blonde waliked by, didn't ask if we needed anymore sugar (didn't say anything) but, she just took the remaining sugar....HOW RUDE! The burgers....the best anywhere. ...the fries were burnt and we're rock hard. But, our "wonderful blonde waitress" never came and asked how anything was....I never ate my burger and instead took it home. Moral of my story, things are declining at this place, we won't be back, and when asked...I will recommend one of the many other GOOD restaurants we have here in Holland. I'm usually a good tipper but today, I left more than she deserved simply because people work hard but, far from my usual. However, I didn't want to leave anything. Whenever I think Holland, I think Itty Bitty. This restaurant has such a good vibe with a vast selection of drinks and quality food. During the summer, it's a great place to come and sit in the open area. We went the other day and the waitress was incredibly accommodating and attentive. Good food, great staff.... always consistent! read more

***Vegetarian Review*** 5 stars for Proximity- A group of us came in after spending the day on the lake. We were able to get there minutes after loading up the boat. 3 stars for Environment - I'm a sucker for a dive bar. They're my happy place. The interior is cool. Nothing overstated. You notice some cool decorations after a bit. They're kind of like Easter eggs. The environment could be dramatically increased by giving the bathroom a once over. They're pretty dirty and the toilets are barely attached to the floor. 5 stars for Value - The portions are H-U-G-E!!! Problem is, there's no way of knowing just how comically large the servings are till after you get your food. Didn't realize the food is pretty high end for a food bar. Wished I would have known that before ordering. 2 stars for Vegetarian Friendliness - there's pretty minimal amounts of veggie options. I cobbled together a meal from sides, however it was all fried food. Could have used something a bit healthier/substantial. Some icons on the menus calling out veggie options would be helpful. I get there's probably not a ton of vegetarians in the area though. All in all I anticipate coming back due to they're proximity. Next time I'll seek out some recommendations from the staff on veggie options. read more

THE FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT! Caps intended! Love the covered patio. Sometimes have live music.

We were turned down to even sit anywhere with 5 people. We felt very unwelcome. Left and went somewhere else that wants our business.

Holland's 5 star dive bar! One of the best wait staffs around. Better food than you might expect. But no dive bar pricing. If you go during live music expect elbow to elbow and pay close attention to the no parking areas or be ready to part with $150. Fun place... read more

Great food Diner Review * Jun 25, 2013 A great surprise! Delicious and unique menu. I ordered the calamari steak sandwich with onion rings. Perfectly cooked and tender; rings exceptional. Cute out of the way spot for drinks stopped here on the way to take a look at lake close to Holland State park and where we keep our boat at times in the summer. read more

This is a great local bar. The food is very good. Nice location for Northside locals. However, I'm wondering when their going to renovate the bathrooms? Food at these prices, require a decent restroom! Also, the front entry needs to be power washed a couple times a week! I think all of us would enjoy this bar a little more!! read more

Oh my word. Guys I just had the Garlic Mashed Potato Quesadila. I'll never be the same!! #heavenly

This is the best "dive bar" in West Michigan. Best burger around and fast, friendly service. Good selection of craft beers and knowledgeable servers who can describe each one. Fish and chips was also very good. You can definitely bring the kids too. When we were there on a recent Saturday, a whole group of little kids were there with their folks. It's tons of fun in the summer when you can sit in the outdoor patio, but since we were there on a cold winter day, it was great to watch a basketball game and have a beer and burger. read more

Stopped in to this friendly neighborhood bar after a hike at Ottawa Beach. Nice patrons, but nothing Itty Bitty about the bill. Had three Perrin CBS stouts, 8oz. pours, and the Itty Bitty burger and the bill was $39.12. That was your chance, won't be back. read more

Nice atmosphere and good service. The burgers and fries are phenomenal, the liquid cheese on the burgers give them a signature touch.

Itty Bitty described itself perfectly. Definitely 5 Star food. Never been disappointed.

I recommend this bar nice and friendly buzzy place drinks r modern priced and good r good. :) read more

Itty Bitty Bar - Bars Near Me - Holland, Michigan

IBB always has a fun menu with a nice variety of traditional and "different" gourmet dishes to satisfy any taste. The menu isn't huge and can change quite often, but includes burgers and pizzas, which or both very good. This is not your typical bar food. I think our favorite thing on the menu that we almost always get is the nachos - the chips they use and toppings are da bomb and great to pair with a few drinks and some live music. The salads are really good, too. The atmosphere is upscale dive bar with mostly 30's and up crowd. We always have fun at the Bitty. read more

Being from Chicago and now West Olive we were intrigued by the comments but also got a recommendation from our builders sub contractor who is doing some painting for us. We tried the bone marrow appetizer and it's very rich so good for sharing. I had the pork shank with mango and sweet potato cake and it was awesome. My wife had the meat loaf with roasted garlic, she was very pleased. Atmosphere is casual but the food quality is near fine dining level without the high price. Check this place out instead of downtown Holland and you won't be disappointed! read more

Dinner was excellent. Had the chicken apple salad and BBQ salmon special. Both were really good and fresh. Took a few minutes to get our food, but it was worth the wait for hot food. Will return. read more

Smells gross and yucky. But usually draws a big crowd of divorcees and bikers. Just saying.

Both times we have come here we have enjoyed the food. The meat is tender, the sauces succulent. Not too loud of an atmosphere. TVs for the men to stare at. The wait staff is kind and helpful. read more

We have gone here a couple times.. the pork nachos amazing.. the duck meatballs just as good.. the service was fast and friendly.. it also has a great atmosphere.. read more

Unpretentious looking place but awesome food! Well priced for the serving sizes which are generous and very share-able!

"Five Star Dive Bar" is a great description. The chef is indeed right up there with the best and I've lived in NYC and LA and travel a lot. The Lobster Mac is always a winner. Mussels, all kinds of interesting salads. By far my favorite place in Holland when there to visit my Mom or college friends. read more

This little itty bitty bar was great! We tried it on a fluke based on Yelp! reviews and were so pleased. The food was upscale bar food and exceptionally done. Service was spot on and I wish I remembered our waitress' name because she would make it in a much more top-end steak house with the service she provided us. We will be back as often as we can when we are in Holland. It was a delightful discovery! read more

Went there last night with friends and sat in outside bar, bartender greeted us, we asked him I being we have food sensitivities if they can make accommodations, he replied yes. Then a women came to table and began taking order, one of our friends asked for olive oil with her salad and waitress said we don't have olive oil in a rude tone, then as she was taking out order she went to take from the opposite side of the table being now we had to speak over our friends to give orders, my husband wanted a substitution and she shook her head said we don't do any substitutions here, order like it is. Wow, I was so disappointed being I know itty bitty has good food, this server was terrible and very rude. We should have asked for manager, we will try again, but there will be a complaint toward server. read more

I loved the Itty Bitty Bar. The kind of place my mom liked. A bar that serves food. Granted it takes awhile to get the food but there is a disclaimer right on the menu that says there will be a wait because everything is made from scratch. I had the burger and it was great. I have had burgers that cost three times that price that weren't as good. My brother had the meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. He said it was good. The menu is quite eclectic for a dive bar. Service was fine. World class gorganzola salad dressing. read more

Went there for dinner. Spent 30 mins waiting for appetizer, and another 30 mins for entrée. The waitress was friendly and the taste of the food is fine. They explained that the long wait is because 2 kitchen staff took sick off. However, as a customer, I would prefer to know that when we ordered. read more

Wow, that's all I can say. Kat is super. Never been disappointed. Best Burgers in Holland. This time I had Little Wings, delish. Think I have a new favorite. Always feel "at home" at Itty Bitty. read more

I am not much for the noisy night life, but I love fine dining! I go for an early dinner or even after church on Sunday. It truly is a 5 star dive! The food is not of the mainstream but not so out there that you wouldn't try it. I haven't had anything that was less than exceptional. The early quiet atmosphere suits me just fine. Things liven up at night. read more

Itty Bitty used to be a sure thing for great food. IT IS GOING COMPLETELY DOWNHILL!! I ordered fish tacos at the bar last week on a Sunday afternoon - once a tried and true favorite dish. What I received was Dried Fishsticks (really!) on hard and stale tortillas. The tortillas broke when you tried to fold them. Dried out refried beans with a handful of cheese on top. Who serves this?! The bartender was far too busy and preoccupied to ask if the food was okay, and I was too hungry not to eat what parts of it were edible and be on my way. But I won't do it again nor will I ever recommend it. read more

We spend summers in Holland, and live in the Chicago area. Itty Biity Bar is our home away from home! We look forward to each day when they post the evening specials----one fish dish and one butchers choice. It seems each year the dishes get better and better! I personally love how the chef's incorporate the best and freshest ingredients into whatever fish or meat dish they are serving. We love the seasonal menus, too---can't wait to try the new winter menu. We also like the new beer menus that change regularly. The bands are pretty wonderful, too. read more

We had lunch at the itty bitty bar on Saturday. The bruschetta was amazing! My husband had the hamburger special and I had the crab cake po boy. Wow on all of it. Jehan our bartender was super sweet, quick with drink orders and great with food recommendations. We will be back! read more

This used to be our favorite place to eat. We would regularly travel the 20 miles to have dinner and drinks. We went twice in the last two weeks and both times waited over an hour for our food, and when the food finally came, it was ice COLD. The waitress apologized and said she "hears that a lot lately." We will not be back and I have heard the same thing from friends of ours. Disappointed that itty bitty went from a Five star dive bar to a true one star dive bar. read more

Everything tasted amazing and they were very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the breakfast double decker tacos.
