Brisket meal...and they ask you which parts of the brisket you'd like.

Absolutely delicious!!! Lord!!! It was a huge surprise! I was planning for my daughter pre-wedding retreat and decided to try them. I'm so glad I did. I order a plate to taste. Baby! I tasted the green beans, and the brisket and sausage! I immediately placed my order. Everyone loved the food. The ambiance is casual, and they also offer blues. Customer service was awesome. I forgot somethings and they assisted me from the curb, which was so appreciated. They are my new favorite for good food!!! My family kept asking where I got the BBQ from.

OMG! If you love BBQ and I mean real BBQ and not what some places try to pass off as BBQ then you absolutely must try this place! It looks a little "Divey" but the food is anything but. They have not pork and beef ribs both are so tender and juicy and fall off the bone good you'll have eaten an entire rack before you know it! The brisket is is my absolute favorite, they will ask at order of you want "regular or wet" wet= a little fat in it, but minimal and it is just enough to make it the best I've ever had and almost rivals my cousins (but don't tell him I said that!) They also serve a macaroni and cheese that is to die for... seriously! They have a dessert called Mississippi Butter Cake *insert combo cross-eye/eye-roll, that is soooooo delicious you'll be glad it's served in portions, but save room cause you have got to try it! This visit, I usually use the drive through, I decided to eat inside, as I stated above it seems a bit divey, but it's clean and there's plenty of seating. There's a long table at both front windows so you can sit and watch the crazy drivers. They also have some great music going, blues and such from the 40's to the 60's. And the service is always friendly and as fast they can when serving cooked to order. This IS a MUST TRY even if you're not in the area! And wear stretchy pants cause you're gonna need them! Happy eating!

The meal filled me up, service was smooth. Flavors were ordinary, making it a fair three-star review.

ALWAYS clean restaurant, restroom and parking lot. Very friendly and attentive staff. TVs on sports and if music is on, it's blues. Neither are loud nor intrusive, so conversation is easy. I'm a HUGE fan of their baked potato, the biggest I've ever seen. ALWAYS tender all the way through and the toppings of your choice are generous. I have a pretty good appetite, but I can only manage half a spud in one sitting. Although IT'S RIBS also offers an extensive menu of sandwiches and sides, my heart (and stomach!) belong to their fantastic baked potato!

Love it great service macaroni cheesy and soft and the rib sandwich is soft I recommend food was great, and ambience is amazing gives me old bbq shack vibes

Brisket on my potato had a lot of fat and was very squishy, tasted like meat jello... waste of money

Let's start with the positive; the drive-thru service, baked beans, and texas toast was good. I ordered chicken, moist brisket, and regular sausage and all of it was tasteless; no seasoning at all. The sausage tasted like vienna sausage on steroids. The brisket doesn't look like brisket; it has to be another meat they're passing off as brisket and it had a bad smell. And the chicken, I asked for dark meat and I honestly don't know what I got. The potato salad was not made in-house; it was grainy and very mushy, like it had been traveling for days in the sun! I did taste the brisket and "vienna sausage" but, not much because visions of an ER visit kept popping up in my head warning me not to eat anymore. This disaster costed me $23 and some change. Hopefully, my trash will like it. I totally wasted my money! The pictures show exactly how my food came to me.

    Nice cold drink selection

Good and great pricing! Rib tips had a little too much cartilage pieces for me but the chopped brisket was great.

It's Ribs is the best rib place in town. We love their St Louis ribs because they are meaty, good size,, delicious and better and cheaper than other BBQ places we've been to. A full slab of ribs (12) is $26.95 & half rack is $14.95. We also like their green beans, baked beans and Cole slaw. We will try their other meats like brisket, chicken and sausage sometime soon.

My sister recommended this place to me since I love ribs, and they had some amazing baked potatoes when she used to go there. After showing my sister what we got, she was like, "No, they changed" lol. They no longer have beef ribs due to the increased prices on that meat. It didn't taste like freshly cooked food. We were really hungry, but still thru most of it in the trash. Not sure what happened but I was not impressed

Brisket was dry and flavorless. Pork ribs, while moist, were fatty with no smoke flavor.

Ribs are real tasty. The pineapple glaze enhances the taste. Other meats are good, not too dry, like some places where it's like jerky.

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The pork ribs were the star of the show. So tender, fall off the bone deliciousness. Pair it with the hot sauce that they have on the side and it was chefs kiss! The best ribs I've ever had. The brisket on the other hand was a little dry and I wish it had more flavor, but the sauce made up for it. We also got the Mac n cheese with brisket on top. They really did not skimp out on the brisket. It was very delicious and the Mac n cheese was perfectly creamy and decadent. They also pickles, pickled jalapeño, and onions on the side which really cut the fat from the meat. The coleslaw that we got was okay though. Overall, it was a great experience. All the employees were nice and patient with us since it was our first time here and we had some questions. The vibes were definitely there. Will def stop by here if we ever go to Texas again!!

We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

I've tried those deemed "the best," including Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's. So how did CorkScrew measure up? In addition to the beef rib, we tried the moist brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. We also tried several sides, including those recommended in the Michelin review: potato salad, mac and cheese, smokey beans, and coleslaw, and I picked up a peach cobbler, as well. The beef rib: STELLAR. This was outstanding with its flavorful bark and an impossibly tender texture that truly melts in your mouth, unlike any other beef rib I've ever had. Easily the very best beef rib, without a doubt. The brisket was delicious, as well: tender and flavorful. The sausage was nothing special... on par with sausage elsewhere, as was the pork. As for the sides, I've never been a fan of beans, but since the Michelin review specifically mentioned them, I gave them a try. I'm a fan! I would definitely order these again. Their smokiness is gently tamed by a touch of sweetness. The rest? Very average. The mac and cheese tasted like the stuff I had in my elementary school cafeteria - very un-special. The potato salad was salty and was missing any semblance of potato chunks. The texture was oddly like lumpy mashed potatoes. But the other surprise for me: the cobbler. This was simply and divinely perfect with crisp, sweet buttery crumble. A wonderful way to end a hearty meal. I'm so glad I ordered our food online for pickup. When I arrived at 1pm, the line was wrapped around the building. Pickup was very easy: I texted them when I arrived, and they replied when they were ready for me to go in and retrieve it. But even if there wasn't a line, I would never eat there: the restaurant is too divey for me: very rustic, picnic-like feel both inside and out, and it was uncomfortably warm and humid (again, inside and out.) The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Glad i tried it, and when i get a hankering for a good beef rib, this is definitely where I'll be getting it!

My partner had the brisket sandwich with potato salad and a small helping of pickles and pickled red onions and I had the pulled pork tacos. My partner said the brisket sandwich was okay, but we both agreed that the potato salad was fantastic! The potato salad was way better than the one at Pappas Barbecue. The taste of the pulled pork tacos was great, but it was honestly too wet and made the flour tortillas too soggy and there was way too much coleslaw on top. I feel like if Killen's is going to serve pulled pork tacos there needs to be three things done. 1. Serve the tacos with an option of corn tortillas because I feel corn tortillas would've worked better to give a great contrast/pairing with the sweetness of the pulled pork and sauce. 2. Serve the corn/flour tortillas on the side so that they don't get soggy and wet. 3. There are some things that just don't belong on a taco of any kind and that's coleslaw. My partner and I also tasted the banana pudding and to say it was divine is an understatement. What I really like about this pudding was that you could taste real bananas in this pudding and it had been mixed well all together. Our total was $80 after tipping, which is a little pricey for some of the items, but honestly I would definitely come back to Killen's Barbecue when I was in the mood for barbecue.
