Always AMAZING! First time we were skeptical because it's small and the name seems bland, but the food is anything but. Every menu item we've had has been way above average. Literally the best for many miles around. read more

Probably the BEST chicken Marsala I've ever had including eating in little Italy in Manhattan! Owner Leo saved me last Sunday when I realized I was too busy to make my own Chicken Marsala for a dinner party I was hosting that night. Leo to the rescue as I called him at 1 and my food was ready at 5! Must go here for food that is multi-dimensional and thoughtfully prepared. read more

Tucked away in a trip center on Kuykendahl, the food is always good WHEN you finally get seated. Not sure what the problem is, but both times we have been there, not crowded and a couple tables empty, it is almost like a comedy routine for the front door greeter to figure out where they will seat you. But once in your seat, food is good, plentiful, and reasonable prices. read more

Get there early (5:30 ish). Once it's crowded, the service sucks. Too many people, too few waitstaff. Food is mediocre. I had lasagna, too much cheese, not enough meat. Enough food for leftovers. Waited forever just to pay the bill. Went on half price bottle wine Wednesday. Cheap wine, overpriced. read more

The BEST chicken piccata I have ever had in Houston. I mean that's a Compliment!! Good happy hour and lovely wait staff. Try in house not just take out. Good drinks. read more

Stumbled upon this place and pleasantly surprised. Casual neighborhood Italian restaurant (of which there are many) but rarely with this level of service and food quality. Everything was prepared with fresh ingredients and really flavorful. On top of this there is a nice medium priced wine and craft beer selection. We didn't make it to dessert ... next time! This place is good for family or couples dining. We will be back! read more

The best Italian food in Spring, Texas! Cozy, quiet place. Everything on the menu is good!

Had dinner last night. Food was great. I had the chicken parmigiana. Bread is sooooo good. We will be back

I was told this place was good about 5 years ago, I never stoped by because honestly the shopping strip it's housed in always looked suspect to me. Due to the high ratings, we de used to give them a try on our weekly date nights. We were blown away at the food, service and cleanliness of this little place ! We have been 4 times in one month. read more

Omg! We just happened on this place and it's awesome and we got takeout!! I have to say the service was great because we were at another establishment and they had no problem just walking our order over and were super pleasant in the process! Definitely stop by this place. read more

Happy Birthday to me!!! Food is super yummy!! The bread is warm & buttery, pasta is totally awesome & the pinot is tayyyh

Small comet fable dining option with big portions and flavorful food. Family loves their food and it's always done right.

We finally got around to trying this place out. If you didnt know it was there you might miss it, as it is in the middle of a strip center. The interior is very well decorated and our server was very helpful. We ordered the chicken alfredo and a pizza and both were delicious! We will absolutely be back! read more

Absolutely love this place! Now I've only gone the carry-out route here but the place always looks clean and inviting. I'm a bit of a homebody anyway. But the food, even at home, is always top notch. Chicken Picatta is great with just the right amount of lemon and briny capers. Best Chicken Parmesan I've ever had. They've certainly turned me on to serving it with a side of fettuccine alfredo. That combo seemed off to me when it came like that but I was converted at first bite. Other standouts include their Margherita pizza, grilled Chicken Leonardo and even a classic Spaghetti with homemade meatballs is outstanding. Also love that each dish comes with a salad and the great garlic rolls. read more

This place is awesome! We travel for work and always look for new places to eat. I highly recommend the Leonardo dish. It was amazing!!! I am stuffed. My husband had the lemon chicken dish with capers and was also great! Good service :). read more

Love the food here! The spinach artichoke dip is sooo good serve with flatbread. Nice quite atmosphere and nice servers. Food is made fresh. read more

Best Italian food on the north side! Pizza is great! Lasagna fabulous! My husbands favorite chicken parmigiana with fettuccini alfredo 5stars!! Everything is so good... I don't really love the rolls but the food more than makes up for it if you are craving Italian food this place will not disappoint you! A little strip center small restaurant you don't even have to dress up.. this is our Italian go to spot for 9yrs! read more

Favorite Italian food in Houston. The chicken piccata is to die for and you can get the pasta with Alfredo on the side - my go to every time! Love this place! read more

We have had delivery 3 times from here during the past couple months. The spinach artichoke dip is wonderful for a starter. I absolutely love the pizza. I used to get the chicken marsala back in the going to restaurant days. That's what we ordered today. Omg. Better than I remembered it! Actually probably my all time favorite now!! Never had anything bad or mediocre here. Always consistently delicious!! read more

Way overpriced for what you get. I recommend a little further drive to Campioni's Restaurant on Cutten Road. The food you get served there is definitely worth what they charge unlike this place. I wont be back. read more

Beware if you order through door dash or uber eats at this place. Waited about 1 1/2 hours because our order kept getting pushed back. Manager actually said those services get low priority and are always pushed back. He was rude and told us not to order from them again then hung up. Never had a manager act like that when a customer is upset about an order being so late. The shame is the door dash driver waited for a very long time and kept updating us but we could not even call the resturant as they would not answer the phone. The only way we got someone on the phone is the door dash driver got the manager on the phone when we asked him to do so. Food was not bad but we have crossed this place off our list based on the managers behavior and the fact that they push orders back from delivery services. read more

This is my favorite new date-night spot! Spectacular service and delicious food. You can't go wrong here. I tried it out with my husband tonight for the first time. I had their lasagna, my husband had their chicken parmigiana. It was soo tasteful! They give you free garlic rolls when you are seated. They also pack your left over food when you ask for a to-go box. We learned that Tuesdays are steak night and Wednesday's are wine night. We will definitely go back soon. read more

We've driven past the Italian Cafe on Kuykendahl for years but never tried it. Frankly, the strip center facade wasn't the most inviting. We tried it tonight and were very pleasantly surprised. Great menu. Good wine and beer selection. Great value. Perfect service. We had veal parm and chicken masala that was as good or better than most in the area. We'll be back for sure! read more

Doesn't look like much as it sits in an older strip mall in a less popular part of town, but OMG it will forever be my favorite local Italian joint. Had it tonight to-go and it was a great experience. We called in the order, was quoted 20 mins. Got there in 15 mins and the server came out to the car to collect payment. Then she immediately came back with steaming hot food. We ordered the Capellini San Marco, Pasta Pescatore, and a Fettucinni Alfredo with grilled shrimp. All of the pastas came with a side salad - a great assortment of fresh lettuces with cherry tomatoes, red onion, and a house Italian dressing. They were fresh and tasty. Then, each order came with three garlic knots and a chocolate chip cookie. We were in pasta heaven!!! The Capellini San Marco was a generous serving with a rice white wine sauce and I loved the little salty punches of capers. The shrimp was huge and so tender - it was fresh and perfectly cooked. The pasta pescatore was a very well balanced marinara with so much seafood!!! Our favorite was the scallops - they were so sweet and delicate. The fettuccine Alfredo has the same perfect shrimp and the sauce was thick and so silky smooth. We all moaned with satisfaction until nary a crumb was left. We will for sure be back to this Ma and Pop's hope in the wall that feels a very big Italian hole in our tummies! read more

My first time here... Food was okay. Wine selection was limited. Dinner portion was quite small and served on a luncheon plate. Service was very hurried. I believe they were short-staffed. I probably will not come back. read more

This place is small but the food is amazing and staff is very friendly. I love it and it is good for kids or a date

I had the chance to stop in for a pizza 06/28. I had traveled to my favorite pizza joint only to find them closed for a week of vacation. Not expecting much I stumbled on this fabulous little eatery. The place is set up like deli/cafes of my home town in Long Island (except alot cleaner). You can see all the action in the kitchen thru a large glass window. The chef and cooks are dressed for the part and look dedicated to their craft. I had a 18in pie. could only down three slices. It was terrific. The dough and the sauce are made fresh and you can tell. The toppings were plentiful and flavorful. Nothing short of a back home pizza. For only a dollar or two more than conveyor belt pizza you could be having a oven baked traditional Italian pizza. And without the grease pouring out the sides! Just for the record, the left overs reheated on the oven shelf were awesome. I would have gave it a 5 star but my tea glass got empty twice. Try this place for dinner! Because they do not open for lunch. Mungia! read more

This is our first time here, food and service is excellent! Will be returning!! The waiter was very attentive and the place is spotless. read more

Italian Cafe - Italian Near Me - Spring, Texas

This place is amazing! I like how you can see the kitchen while your food is being prepared. Everything is fresh, made to order and DELICIOUS!! read more

On our in to Houston we stopped in to this little place for pizza. It's location is non assuming and frankly I didn't expect much. WOW WAS I WRONG! Besides being small and quaint it's very clean, comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff, the pizza was amazing! We chose a medium half supreme half chicken and a side salad with bread! I haven't had such delicious pizza since I moved to Texas! I highly recommend this hidden jewel of a cafe! read more

We eat here once or twice a month. Very exceptional. Wednesdays are 1/2 price appetizers and 1/2 price bottles of wine. Over time, we've had almost everything on the menu. It's always fresh and prepared correctly. The staff and service are tops also. You could drive by here every day and not notice this place, it's tucked away in the middle of a strip center, but don't let this stop you from checking this place out. read more

Marvelous. The chicken Leonardo, baked ziti, cappellini San Marco, and many other dishes are delectable. TERRIFIC rolls. One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. read more

This place is popular but certainly does not meet more than 2.5-3 stars in my opinion. The spaghetti marinara is way to salty and the salad is a real disappointment. Nice people but for my money other places are much better. read more

Exceptional dining at a reasonable price. The restaurant is a casual sit down place with waiter service . Perfect for us. We had a pizza and chicken parmesan on this trip. It came with complimentary garlic rolls and a small salad. The pizza had very high quality meats and distinctly good flavors, unlike many pizzas you get today that are rather bland. My wife loves the thin crust cheese with black olives. The chicken parmesan was also seasoned well and the portion size did not leave you feeling hungry. It was our first time there and we will definitely be coming back. I forgot to publish the first review so I will just add my second. We are becoming regulars there. About once per week so far. This time we had the lasagna and pizza. The pizza was great as usual. I thought the lasagna could be a little more seasoned but it was still very good. Just picky I guess. It was certainly far better than most. We have lived within 3 miles of this place for several years and never knew it existed until I saw it on Yelp! Now we can get good Italian food without having to drive to Star Pizza or Antonio's read more

This is the best Italian restaurant I've tried so far!!! Everything here is too good. Veal Parmigiana is one of my favorite. I would highly recommend that. read more

My wife and I just moved into the neighborhood and we needed some Italian food to help us get our second wind for all the unpacking. Saw this place and thought we'd check it out. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was amazing. Everything was fresh tasting. The portions are enough for two meals and it tasted like homemade. The wait staff were very prompt and respectful. Since it is family owned they genuinely care that you have a good experience. I will definitely be returning. read more

This is almost a really good restaurant. There's clearly some talent in the kitchen, and a strong effort is being made at every level - menu, décor, cleanliness, cooking. But...it's not great. The Caesar salad is weak, with a bland dressing that seems intended to not offend rather than to impress. The meatballs are okay - chewy, almost sausage-like, but again, a little weak on flavor. Pasta was excellent - cooked properly, light and delicious. The caprese salad suffered from tasteless tomatoes, bland mozzarella and insufficient basil. Chicken parm was very good, nice tomato sauce, nice breading. Service was "youthful" - good effort, great care, but still slow and forgetful. It took 10 minutes before we had water, 15 for bread, the wrong salads came out, but all with heart-felt apologies and immediate correction. We'd rather not have the slowness or mistakes to start with. This place is popular - on a Sunday night it was 3/4 full and there was a constant stream of people coming and going. Almost all were families from the surrounding neighborhoods, dressed in shorts and t-shirts. Nice, friendly, casual atmosphere. With a little more experience the young servers will smooth things out. I'm not so sure the kitchen will be making the same improvements. We may come back again, in a few weeks, but maybe not. Our search for great Italian food on the north side continues. For now, the reigning champ stays Carrabba's at Champions. And that's not great either, but it's very good. A step up in quality and décor, but in cost as well. read more

Sooooooo good! We went last night for our first time. Doesn't look like too much from the outside, but the inside is nice! They weren't crowded at all when we got there around 7:30-7:45. Even still, service wasn't super fast as some of the other comments have said. We had chicken alfredo and the specialty meat pizza and mozzerella fritta as an appetizer. Loved all of it! Prices were reasonable. With 2 entrees, appetizer and teas, it ended up being around $40 and we took half of it home. We will definitely be back! Great low-key date night spot. Not great for a fast meal of you're in a hurry. read more

I had the chicken piccata and it was awesome ! Great waitress and big portions. Can't wait till I get back!

We love this restaurant! Food is always delicious. We actually have not tried any pizza here, but we have tried multiple pasta meals and have not been disappointed! The garlic/bread rolls given are delicious too. My favorite thing about this restaurant is actually the size. It's pretty small inside and intimate. We have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for a table and that's on Friday and Saturday nights too. When we want a relaxed italian meal and don't want to wait an hour for a table, we always go to Italian Cafe. Since the restaurant is so small the waitstaff has always been great and quick. read more
