The sushi was good, this place only opened last night. They have another location in Issaquah. We will be coming back because the staff was nice, and the servers were helpful/knowledgeable. Nice decorations, fun music, many rolls to choose from. They also have plates of colorful, fun fruits which I liked. I also liked the menus, small with photos. Constructive criticism: I wish there were labels or little signs next to each sushi roll. It's important to me that I don't eat anything raw or undercooked and it was hard to tell which roll from which. I ordered a California roll and was handed a plate that had raw salmon in it. The servers helped me straighten that out right away but the sushi chefs might need a bit more training on the rolls - they handled it very kindly. I wish the chairs were taller, they sink very low under the counter. It wasn't busy for a Saturday night, I am nervous this place will become popular especially as more stores open up in the lot. Sushi is placed on my top 3 favorite foods. I pass by this HWY and see the plaza everyday and was curious to see what is going to make up this new area! iSushi caught my eye - never heard of iSushi so I was definitely intrigued. Happy to finally have a sushi restaurant so close to me!! The sushi was good! Better quality than what I was expecting from a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I came in for a quick bite tonight and really enjoyed my experience there. They've only been open for a couple of weeks, but I love what they did with the restaurant. The decor was very inviting and the cherry blossoms were a nice touch. I ended up having about 5 plates and even had the pleasure of trying an "experimental" sushi dish, which was very delicious by the way. I even had a couple glasses of Mac and Jack beer...it's always great when a restaurant serves my favorite beer! They even have a Mac and Jack IPA that should be available very soon as well, so I'm looking forward to trying that one out. It's a great place to have some great sushi or sashimi, or even some food that's made in the kitchen which I'll also have to try another time. We have been here maybe four times and each time the service has not been good. You almost always have to order your sushi because they have very little on the conveyor belt. You order what you want, if they have it, it takes forever to get it, and then they may or may not get the order right. The edamame is not fresh and is cooked from frozen and I know this because when they forgot to bring it, we reminded them and they brought it to us half frozen. One of my go to sushi spots until now!!!! Waited 45 minutes for 2 orders of the creamy scallops... never came!!! Asked 2 different waitresses.. they both said it's on its way... the sushi chef didn't even start making them... disappointed!!!! I'm a regular at this location, I stop in maybe once a month. Maybe more depending on friends or family that are with me at the time. They are located on Maple Valley Highway, easy to find. It's a medium sized, conveyer belt, Americanized sushi restaurant. The menu is average priced, comparable to other sushi restaurants in the area. They also serve plenty of appetizers, desserts, have a very creative menu, monthly specials, and are happy to create or adjust menu items. I stopped in yesterday with a friend and we decided to load up on all four monthly specials which are Game of Thrones related, pics included! The White Walker was by far my fav, but the others were tasty too! The restaurant is always kept clean, waitstaff and sushi chefs even the owner are very friendly and informative. Unfortunately, you often have to chase them down in order to grab their attention for the bill or refills etc. regardless, this is still one of my favorite local sushi restaurants. I really don't like to go to sushi restaurant that served with conveyor belt because you don't really know how fresh the food will be on the belt but I just give this restaurant a try because it was near by my friend's house. I was actually impressed that their sushi dishes are very fresh also the severs were knowledgeable with the al the menu items. I enjoy their service very much I'll be returning frequently. I've been to the isushi in Issaquah many times and thoroughly enjoy it. I'm shocked that this location got any good reviews based on the quality of the food I received today. The squid salad was old and soggy, even overly gelatinous. Positive: the service was good as they took it back promptly. The rolls on the belt were incredibly old; they looked like they had been there for many hours. The roll I ordered was mediocre. Staff was friendly. Kaiten (conveyer belt) sushi was mostly California rolls, but there were other selections. There weren't a lot of people in there so we questioned the freshness. We went there at about 1:00pm on a Thursday afternoon. I had a tempura style spicy shrimp which was good. The sushi is thicker than traditional Japanese sushi. We ordered a couple of specialty items off of the menu. Nothing to rave about. Probably won't be back. Probably fine for new sushi consumers. read more

After searching high and low for a sushi place that "gets it", we finally stumbled upon I-Sushi here in Renton. Nothing fancy, nothing exotic or proprietary but basic, fresh sushi and a staff that is always friendly, courteous and attentive. The "merry go round" sushi bar is a bit strange but seems to be common round these parts. You can ask for anything and they are happy to make it. Prices are fair and place is clean and easy. Ok you guys ready for my Review? I saw on yelp that the sushi looked vibrant and colorful-- which I thought would be amazing. Upon arrival it looks like a really nice modern complex. Walking into the restaurant it looks really clean and neat, the atmosphere was perfect. We then started getting some sushi off the conveyor belt and soon we realize that everything was California rolls and just topped with different colored egg roe or fried flakes. If you are coming here just wanting to eat California rolls then this is the place for you. Unfortunately there was not a wide variety. We felt like we had to order things on the menu. We also ordered the kids meal and it was super large. But the chicken Katsu inside the kids meal seemed un-edible. Both of my kids choked because of how dry and rubbery the chicken was even after peeling off the Katsu coating. The chicken looks like it was pre-cooked before hand before they breaded the chicken. Also from the menu I wanted to order just the yakisoba. And the server asked me which one? I was confused so I asked which ones do you have? Because the menu didnt state there was other kinds. She then proceeded to tell me which ones and in my head I was like sure I'll get the chicken, that's pretty cool. Soon my yakisoba came and it was a LARGE plate, I soon realized it was no the small plate. I'm a little disappointment by this but I didn't want to hassle and return the item since they cooked it. Also the ceiling was leaking... and that was just a turn off. I will not be coming back here again. They sushi wasn't that great, but I'm just giving them 2 stars because the chicken yakisoba actually was good even though that's not what we ordered. This place would have so much potential if they actually put out more variety of sushis on the belts, also it needs more flavor. Great vegetarian options. We ordered delivery through door dash and it was good! I really liked their avocado rolls and the house salad. The salad had a lot of veggies. The dressing is really good too. the rolls are packed and pretty big. Decent pricing too. The chicken katsu was also good. My only criticism is that some of strips were small and dried out. First off, this review is long overdue (about a month ago). My girlfriend and I stopped in this place about a month ago on a whim...actually truth be told, she wanted a drink before meeting my family for the first time. Can't say I blame her. Anyway, this just happened to be the only place open. And we are so glad it was!! The two young hostesses were bubbly, cordial, inviting, and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. Food is good for a conveyor belt sushi place. The service is what sets this place apart though. Josh was always attentive and friendly, and was patient while explaining the different rolls that were passing by. When we asked him to help us find a specific roll, he had it freshly made for us because he said it was one of the rolls that could begin to discolor from being out too long--not to unsafe levels, just in an unappetizing way. I was impressed with his level of care and attention and would come back just to get great service again. My only complaint is that you don't really know what is coming by you, as they don't have the names of the rolls displayed by them or anything. You have to just pick one and hope it's the right one you wanted or ask a server to find you a specific roll. But it's a minor complaint and doesn't change that I will be back. read more
