Cube smart is I a very safe location in South West Evanston on Oakton just East of McCormick next to the big sports Dome which is a very busy safe area with all the family sports activities at that Dome. So we feel quite comfortable popping in there on way from Ohare Airport for family visits. The facility is very well run with great staff and is spotless. We get what we need for our 3-4 visits per year from California to see kids , grandkids, etc . So can't say enough. It's an awesome experience. It's well worth what we pay. Then I was told that my lock was simply missing and they decided to lock it for me. When I visited the unit, Andre granted me access by removing their lock. I found my lock inside the unit with the tumbler drilled out. Clearly, they mistakenly cut my lock and entered my unit. Instead of admitting their error, they lied to me. They also raised the unit rent by $50 during this same timeframe. This does not sound like a trustworthy place to store your valuables.

So much better than any I've been to. It's clean, the people were friendly, helpful and pressure free. They sell you for what you need and that makes it great to pick up the truck or anything there! Their indoor area is also kept clean and lots of space. The boxes are nicely stacked. Check in was easy and service was helpful. The van was new with 580 miles! I was so happy and the van was new so it road very smoothly and smelled still new. I was also surprised to see the rear view mirror had a camera built in when reversing with made me more comfortable and relieve to drive a big van. The side mirrors too had the dual mirror where one of it has the wide view to see the blind spots, which was so helpful. I had loaded my coaches easily and the trip was fun. Driving that new van was also quite enjoyable. With the app, the after hours drop off made it super easy. I'm intimidated no more now and I'll take that van across the country as it's so fun to drive!

They lure you in with discounted pricing and then once your stuff is in there, they jack it up. When I complained, they shrugged. And when I asked when the next one was coming, they said probably after 6 months. So if you plan on using it for longer term storage, not a good choice. I've rented in other places before and they raised prices once a year. I'll be looking to move my stuff asap.
