Awful!!! Horrible service, rude and poorly trained staff, overpriced for the s*** job they do, very dirty, please do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere! I came for a simple mani and pedi, asked to clean up the cuticle. The older lady did a very poor job, the skin was cleaned badly. Sometimes she would just perform a "cutting" movement with the clipper and not even touch my skin!!!! When I addressed the issue, she argued back and tossed the tools as said I should do it myself! What? More horrible stories but been there twice and had to go somewhere else to fix their sloppy and unprofessional AND unqualified job! Rude and overall incompetent staff. Now I understand why they always have availability when everyone else is booked. DO NOT GO!

I love it here. This is my go to nail salon. It is close to my house and I can always get an appointment. They are friendly and priced right. The salon is clean and best of all...I leave with my nails looking great!

Small nice nail salon with friendly staff!! Has a decent size parking lot and very inexpensive. I recommend coming before 6:30 if you want nails and toes done because you may have to wait, and they may tell you they don't have time for both. Five stars because they have good specials Tuesday-Thursday, decent prices all of the time, and do a great job! Highly recommended.

I had a 10am mani/pedi. I was there 10 minutes early. I waited in my car. The staff showed up at 10:05am, started getting the salon ready while I waited, and we're not very personable. Prior to my appointment, I asked how long it would take so that I could plan my morning. I was advised to carve out 45 minutes. It ended up taking until 11:15am, after which I still had to dry. The staff was not pleasant and did a terrible job. There was nail polish all over my hands and not even covering my nails smoothly. Photo attached. I'M NEVER GOING BACK. What a waste of money. I had my manicure redone the next day at another place.

Absolutely awful. I just moved in close so figured I'd give it a try. First of all DONOT get dip here they have no clue what they are doing. He finished my dip with no chip/gel top and light that is not okay... he cut me multiple times. And shaped my nails to the point where the look deformed.

I don't know why it took me so long to come and try this place out for a dip manicure. Nice staff, good work.

I just moved in this neighborhood and loved the fact that I was going to have a nail salon close by. But the question is...are they any good!? Well, I needed a fresh set put on (and I get no chip on top) and he did such a great job. He did a new way of acrylic dip...which, I've had the color dip, but never for the actual nail. It took longer, but they turned out so great. Also very reasonable prices! Just wanted to show some love and this will be my new spot from now on. Thanks!

$32 for a mani + pedi, everyday. Now, I'd pay about $100 for 20 digits that look prim and proper...but as it turns out, I can just get it done for $32 right in the 'hood, and be quite happy. You see, I've been near and far and everwhaaaaar lookin' for a set that doesn't jet in the time it takes me to get to my car. I'm here to tell you...my mani/pedis from Island Nail last well into the 7-9 day range. F'real. Do I have y'alls attention!? I think maybe. This is just about as cheap as it gets in the fair city of Chicago without resorting to self-mutilation...err...trimming via those addictive cuticle trimmers. I highly suggest leaving it to the pros, and these ones do it up cheap. Now, here are some tips: *closed Mondays. *open at 10am, show up as close to that time as possible...or wait. *for whatever reason, this place is very dude-friendly. Always dudes next to me gettin' their claws into lady-pleasin' shape. I won't hate, I appreciate. But, you've been forewarned. *PRIVATE, free parking lot. Wooooooooo! *tips CAN go on cards, but they appreciate cash. (who doesn't!?) *credit card minimum = $12 So why the additional star after all of these years? Well, of course...in my haste to get on with my day I fled the nail shop in pursuit of a lunch meeting. Of course, I didn't let them dry long enough. I wiped a few of them on the ceiling (accidentally, and no...I don't know how). I came back a few hours later...asked if they could fix them for a few bucks, and she wouldn't even take my money. Repaired them all for FREE, sweetly, and well...that's customer service and they've earned themselves a loyal customer AND that 4th star. Well done. So, the breakdown goes like this: It's cheap, it's fast, it lasts for an eon (in manicure world) and they are sweet. It's not fancy, but it's swell enough for me....arrive early, or bring a magazine and bear the wait.

The guys that work in there, awesome. The woman just like other people wrote in other reviews is horrible. She's fast and sloppy. I told her my no-chip polish looked horrible. She then looked and said "No, it looks good." I said... "No, this does not look good" You decide. Would you want this on your nails for two weeks or longer? The picture is in the photos section

Amazing service & even better customer care!…read more I recently moved to the area and it took me a few months to find a nail salon I really liked. I walked past Pride Nails, loved the aesthetic, and decided to stop in for a no-chip chrome pedi. The experience was so relaxing, but the next morning I noticed I needed a small touch-up. I sent them a photo and texted to see if I could come back & this is where they really earned the 5+ stars... Vi was apologetic and immediately offered to get me in the next day. Work got away from me and I couldn't make it, but instead of forgetting about it, she actually followed up with me to make sure I came back and got everything fixed. That really impressed me. She got me back in, made the touch-ups I needed, and I left very happy. Great service is one thing, but customer service like that is what makes you come back. Safe to say I found my new go-to pedicure tech! Definitely recommend Vi & Pride Nails.

I don't normally write reviews but I've tried a few nail salons in Lakeview and this one is WAY…read moreoverpriced. I asked for a manicure, no extensions, just color. The base price was $68, with an added $20 for "cuticle trimming." Is this not a standard service for manicures? I've been here before and I do not recall it being nearly as pricey, so I'm not sure what has changed. In addition, my nail color (both times) ended up being completely different than the one I picked out on the display. I'm not sure why. Don't come here unless you plan to spend $100+ for a basic manicure that's a drastically different color than you chose.
