Catalina's only full-time Donut Shop. And by full-time, I mean open in the AM on weekdays (and a few hours later on weekends) or until they've sold all donuts and pastries for the day. Nice assortment for a small, corner walk-up only shop. The round donuts are pretty big and kinda heavy, and come in flavors like maple, chocolate, glazed and powdered sugar. They currently have two kinds of old fashioned donuts: traditional and vanilla frosting with chocolate drizzle. They often/occasionally have different kinds of sprinkled donuts, bars, twists, jelly-filled, cinnamon rolls, muffins, and conchas, plus coffee too. Last year they made a super cool maple bar donut with blue coloring that had a shark design. They opened a few years ago (2022 I think) on the corner of Clarissa and Crescent, right across from the beach; in the same building that the Pic Nic Fry used to be located. They've got racks of donuts inside, so it's not just what you see. Still miss the donut shop on Catalina Ave from a while back, but this is a good substitute. read more

Man, this has to be the best donut shop on the island. Nice, hefty, tasty donuts fresh in the morning. Good old fashioned fresh coffee. The locations is perfect and the service is great. When we stopped in grandma and grandson were serving behind the walkup window. Both were very friendly and took great pride in the business and wonderful donuts. This donut shop has one of the best views of any donut shop I've ever been to given that it is right across from Avalon Bay so you can stare at the water while you order a donut. It's a very small location with a walk up window only. We arrived around 1 PM and they were already about to close and were very limited in options. We met the owner who was very polite and offered us a good deal but the only options at that time were a Sprinkles Donut and a Cinnamon Roll. Some of the other reviews mistakenly called it a Cinnamon Roll Donut. It is not. It is a Cinnamon Roll. Both that and the Sprinkles Donut were very good and they honestly really hit the spot. I was hoping to try the Maple Bacon, but sadly it wasn't an option. I think pricing is fair and the service was polite so I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island and would certainly stop in again next time I'm in the area. read more

This very well may be a true hole in the wall .......... it is a takeaway window only. There isn't any seating, so we found our seating across the street, along the boardwalk. The staff was very friendly, and she had a great attitude that started our morning out right. If you haven't guessed: it's a very small place. Please see my pics of their menu and the donuts that were available. Their little alcove can get crowded quickly but the line also moves quickly. A little overpriced in my opinion. $2.00 for a classic raised donut. I do understand that this is an island and everything has to be imported, so l guess I have to factor that into the higher cost. As for the donuts, these were not the best donuts I have had. I thought the raised donut tasted a little bland, but my son really enjoyed his cake donut. The woman at the window taking the orders seemed complacent. She didn't smile or welcome us. She just stood at the window quietly as I placed my order, then handed me the bags after I paid without a single word spoken. Very Interesting!!! Don't sit this one out. The donuts here are large, fluffy, and delicious. We paid $2 (on an island!) for a large donut that was probably 1.5x the size of a Dunkin' donut on the mainland and it was tastier. Paid case, no tax. It's a really tiny walk-up and you might miss it if it weren't for the pink donut sign at the top of the building. Cheapest donut on the island is probably Vons, but they sell out quick and I doubt they measure up to the quality and taste from here. Highly recommend! read more

This place is located in a corner spot right on the main road when you first get into town right next to the Pancake Factory. They have a walk up window, and you just pick what you want from the display and go on your way. We stopped in on Saturday morning before loading onto our ferry back to the mainland.
