Superb spot. Get reservations.... We did "just in case" for a Tuesday night at 7:30. The place was hopping and rightfully so. Delicious food - I got the grilled pork chop (I know, right?!?). Wife got the fish tacos. We both loved our dishes. Guinness draughts with a good patient two stage pour. Friendly people everywhere, staff and patrons alike. Super cool old school but still hip but not trying too hard vibe is pulled off with ease here. I look forward to dining here again. read more

Last minute dinner on the busiest night of the year..St Patrick's Day we were still accommodated without a reservation by the manager. Chuck was without a doubt the most gracious waiter, knew the menus front and back as well as very prompt with refills and recommendations although it was a busy night we felt like we were his only priority. The food was delicious. Hubby had scallops wrapped in bacon and chicken parmagiano when he asked for light sauce once again Chuck our waiter asked if he could explain how the sauce was made and my husband agreed, much to my surprise hubby loved it! I had buffalo chicken dip it was amazing. Vegan options were very good as well. Brought take out Mac and cheese with bacon home as well...scrumptious. Raspberry margarita was on point. We are looking forward to returning with friends and family. 5 stars isn't enough! read more

Super low quality ingredients for the food, and with astronomical prices. Doesn't make sense. Drinks were fine. But they trick you into thinking you're eating a Michelin star meal. The manager even got upset I called him out for it and even gave me a dirty look when I asked for "sauce" like wtf. I want hot sauce for my bland food. read more

A nice little place right next to PVD airport. Menu items are better than average bar fare. I tried the lobster roll on a pretzel roll. The lobster was great! Not dry or tough and it wasn't drowned in mayo. It tasted rather fresh. That's what I love about the east coast... good seafood is easy to come by. The lobster was accompanied by fresh cut French fries-fried crispy golden brown. A tasty lunch before heading off to work. read more

I have been visiting ir Works several times over the last few years. The service is great the food is great atmosphere is great and everybody that goes there seems to have a great time. Although I have been happy with Iron Works indoor dining, their outside facility is terrible. I am surprised that a restaurant in the prestigious Newport Group would offer such poor accommodations.Located in the parking lot in front of the establishment, the site is bleak, with no efforts to add any atmosphere. It is loud from surrounding heavy traffic, and smelly from the fumes generated by cars, trucks, busses, amd motorcycles. The food was up to par, but it couldn't be enjoyed in the stark setting. This experience involved eating, but definitely not dining ! read more

The food here was really good. Needed to grab a quick bite before hitting the airport and the cornbread and salmon was a good choice.

We had our sons wedding rehearsal dinner at Iron Works. The food and the room was fine. But our major failing grade is that iron works management failed to staff appropriately for 35 guests. We had one server responsible for the cocktail hour (later another server assisted) however the flow of the event was not well done. As a result of the understaffing not enough appetizers were brought in and drinks were not smoothly delivered (the two staff people were great but overwhelmed). The dinner service was ok and the food was quite good. Dessert again fell apart as the coffee made its appearance well after the deserts were eaten. We would not use them again. read more

I like the IWT. Some of the food is exceptional and all of it is good. The people that work there from the bartenders, to management and to the wait staff are very good. I have some favorites, such as the Farro Salad that I go back for and always love their lambchops whenever that's on the menu. The discounted apps at happy hour are always a plus. The ambience is very nice, especially in the function room and I like that they are part of the Newport Restaurant Group as that has it's perks, too. read more

Atmosphere was good, Garden salad was great and the beer was cold, but my prime rib sandwich was over cooked, fries soggy and pickle was even limp! Sorry.. maybe the appetizers would have been the better choice! read more

Food and drinks are always so good. We've been going here during Covid because we have seen how they handle cleaning. Lots of precautions in place. Never had a bad meal. I seem to get the chicken board every time I go because it is SO good. My husband likes their salmon. A bit pricey but we are never disappointed with our meals. read more

Went for brunch today; served Sundays, 10-2:30, and in a word, amazing! I got the traditional bennedict and it was the best I've ever had. The price was great at 9.95. The Hollandaise was real, and infused with saffron. Everything was cooked to perfection. The ham was carved, not some rubbery piece of offal. Hash browns were perfect. My dining companion got the lox platter with caviar and potato pancakes and a bloody mary which were both great as well. The bill came to just over 30 bucks. Service-stellar, decor-simple, comfortable, and elegant, and the crowd was medium sized and well behaved. The only frown was the 35+minute wait for the food, which is really no big deal considering the outcome. Parking is ample and easy. Skip all the Providence bullshit and come here on a weekend morn., you won't regret it. read more

Food's usually pretty good, but the service is very hit or miss. I've been in several times -- the atmosphere is great. They did an awesome job with the interior, but that doesn't make up for the lousy service. If you do go in, try sitting at the bar -- I've had better luck there, maybe because you are always in front of the bartender. If the management and wait staff were a little more friendly and much less "stuck up" it would be a much better place. I live nearby and don't go in unless I'm with someone who insists we do because of the attitude / generally crappy service. read more

I don't know much about the Warwick restaurant scene but this place was bumping on a Friday night! They even had live music! Our waiter was really attentive, but whoever was making the food was... not so much: I had a pretty sloppily assembled burger. I know, it's just a burger, but I don't think the patty even made it onto the bottom bun. Maybe they should label it as "deconstructed" on the menu, or maybe a toothpick would fix the problem! After I stacked it back together, though, it was juicy and satisfying. I would recommend ordering something you know you'll like when you come here and you'll leave happy--for example, they had a risotto special served in a squash when I was here, and it looked a little funky, although it's cool that they have vegetarian specials. Make sure you really like bacon if you get the bacon-infused meatloaf! Overall, this is a solid American hotel restaurant. I might go here again if I'm ever starving and cruising through Warwick (again), but that's a situation I'd like to avoid! read more

Always fantastic. Have tried most of the menu at this point... all apps, entrees & desserts are awesome and great service.

Good service. Lunch was good. Bar was packed. Kinda loud because it's so open. Pulled pork sandwich was not special but my brother liked the tacos but wished it had a grilled option instead of just fried and my sis in law had the pumpkin special which was incredible. I like that you can have fries or a salad for the side. Very limited wine selection. read more

Iron Works is one of the finest restaurants in Rhode Island let alone Warwick. Every appetizer and entree I have gotten here has been delicious. Cooked just enough along with the right enough flavor and spices. Their seafood dishes rival that of Legal Seafoods down the street. One of their best dishes is their Asian Style Calamari for an appetizer. I have no hesitation stating this is one of the best calamari dishes I have ever had. The staff is extremely attentive and the manager is always around talking with patrons. As a side note, with a surf and turf menu, comes slightly higher prices. However the prices are fair and comparative to similar seafood and steak restaurants. read more

Went here last night at the recommendation of a co-worker who said it was "very good". When I asked her if it was "great", she repeated it was "very good." So we went around 6:30 and it was somewhat full, but not packed. It is attached to the Hilton Garden hotel, so some of the people there may have been hotel guests. There is a bar area and a dining area, and the bar was more full than the dining room. We were seated at a two-top, which was a bit small, but not teeny tiny. I noticed the tables were fairly close together, so much so that we seemed almost a part of the conversation of the trio sitting next to us. Not a big fan of tight-packing the diners. But otherwise, the space is large, with high ceilings and brick walls. My wife thought it was warm and inviting. I didn't quite see it that way, but it wasn't bad at all. On to the food. . . we had the lobster fritters for an appetizer. While they reminded me of the "hush puppies" I used to get when I was a child eating at Long John Silvers, I didn't notice too much lobster in them at all. Still, there were a nice amount of them and they came with a spicy tartar sauce that went well with them. My wife had a chicken pesto pizza, which she enjoyed, and I had the fried whole belly clams. The serving size of the clams was HUGE and they were pretty good, a little greasy, but hey, they're fried clams. We skipped dessert, but the desserts delivered to the trio next to us looked delicious and smelled pretty good too (did I mention the tables were close to each other?). Overall, not a bad dining experience. The menu seemed a bit limited but there were specials to fill out the selections, so that was nice. It was a bit loud for my taste, but it seems like most of the noise was coming from the bar area (seemed to be a typical after-work Friday evening crowd). We'd go back if we couldn't think of somewhere else to go. read more

Mediocre at best. The bar-staff where I had dinner was very cordial and friendly and attentive. The food however was sloppy and not prepared well. I was here during restaurant week which gave me a 3 course meal for $29.95. I started with the wedge which was cut up already and soaked with dressing and sat at the window too long, resulting in warm blue cheese. Next salmon with salsa Verde, accompanied by veggies with a holandaise sauce, rice pilaf, and a puree of sweet potatoes. This was way to many flavors on one dish and the salmon was over cooked. Desert was two scoops of sorbet that had melted and been refrozen, I could tell from the ice layer on it and the frozen cup it came in. And they have crappy chef coats on. Should have gone to Legal down the street. read more

We want to support local businesses but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered curbside/ pickup on their website, called after the order was placed to confirm the results Ike the food would be ready and was told 7:50 (which was almost an hour after the order was placed). Arrived at the restaurant just after 7:50, parked, checked in and waited... After 15 minutes I called and was told it would be out shortly. I then waited another 25 minutes in the car... the order was brought out at 8:30. I'm sorry but waiting almost 40minutes in my car for a curbside order is unacceptable. If they were just honest when we initially called and said they were busy and it wouldn't be ready until 8:30 that would have been fine, or when I called once there that it would be a while that would have been ok, nope instead they were dishonest and wasted my time. You never know the customers situation and on this night I had my newborn in the car based on the assumption the pickup time I was told was accurate. It's a shame because the food was pretty good but we probably won't be back. read more

Two visits turned out to be one too many as the experiences were polar opposite. Both times I visited, I sat at the bar and dined from the happy hour menu. My first visit was pleasant enough, the food was tasty but took a little longer then I would have expected coming out of the kitchen, given the number of people in the place. The Jumbo Crab Cake was flavorful but certainly not "jumbo" by any stretch of the imagination. The bartender was friendly and attentive. My second (and likely final) visit left me shaking my head. Literally. I was so pissed off at the crappy service I received. First, the wannabe golf-pro bartender, who I was clearly bothering by daring to expect any level of service at all, clearly hated being there and basically ignored me for my entire visit. He begrudgingly acknowledged me after I patiently waited for several minutes while he finished his conversation about his round at Pebble Beach. He genuinely seemed bothered by the fact that I was there at all. Then there was my greasy, flavorless plate of RI Style Calamari. When I was asked how everything was as I exited, I simply shook my head and said I wouldn't be back. The enquirer looked dumbfounded and didn't even respond. P.S. skip the Stoli Doli knock-off; way too much bite without the smoothness of the original. read more

We happened to be dropping off a rental car at the airport and saw this place. We decided to stop in and give it a try. From the outside it looked like it was just going to be a run of the mill pub type restaurant, but when you get inside, you realize this is not the case at all. The inside has a really cool atmosphere with exposed brick and some industrial elements-pretty hip. Looking at the menu, they had a whole vegetarian section and every time I have gone, there had been a vegetarian dish on their specials menu. Each time I have gone, I ordered off the specials. I can't recall what they were and can't look back on the menu since they were specials, but they were out of this world! When the plates came out, it was presented in this fine-dining sort of way. I knew it was going to be tasty and it was. There was even one dish that had mushrooms on it and I asked if I could have it without-the server said "no", which at first was surprising. I ordered it anyway and it completely changed my view of mushrooms. Sometimes you just have to trust the chef and you can in this place. My husband had the short ribs and love them. Every time he's ordered something, he's enjoyed it. The reason why I can't give them 5 stars is because there are really no options for kids. Some places we order starters for them if there is no kids menu, but the starters aren't really something that would appeal to kids. When you talk to them, they say they can make anything for kids and they are open to it. We asked them to make a grilled cheese for one of my kids and though he thought it was yummy, it seemed a little on the burnt side to me and at a cost of $9, it should be the best he's had in his life. My other son ordered a burger and really loved it, but it was $11 and of course, he didn't eat the whole thing-it was way too big for a kid. I just wish they offered kid-sized meals for kid size prices. If they were to add a small kid's menu or be option to creating small dishes that kids would like, for a reasonable price, this place would get 5 stars. We will go here again and again and again. We love it and just wish it was a little closer to where we live. Anytime we need to make a trip to Warwick, we try to make it around dinner time, so we can stop there. Yum! read more

My cousin and I came here on a Friday night before I had to fly out the next morning. It was two of us. When we walked in there were a ton of empty tables but they said that it would be a 20 minute wait because they had reservations. HMMMM Ok. We waited and were seated after maybe 15 minutes. We shared a buffalo Chicken dip appetizer and I ordered a Salmon Caesar salad and french onion soup. The french onion soup was delightful. I was disappointed by the size of the salmon. The service was A1. I loved the charm of the place it was warm and inviting with candlelight brick and exposed beams. I think that I would go back to try some other menu items not only because the good but also because the ambiance was lovely and as I mentioned the service was great. read more

Laura is a delight! The venue is really cool. Multi-floor with an exposed brick and glass main floor. A double tiered hanging shelf hangs above the bar. All the seating is intimate and comfy. Because this restaurant is connected to the Hilton Garden Inn, I will likely eat here again. I love the name, and the inside has a neat look to it. The beer selection is very good. Plenty of craft beer to choose. The food is average. I had the braised short rib. It did pull apart easy, but was not as tender or tasty as it appeared. This was the most highly recommended menu item from the waitress. read more

Really nice atmosphere, very good high quality upscale pub food. We're on vacation and the Iron Works was close to our hotel. Checked out the menu and it looked interesting. We were pleasant surprised by the casually elegant atmosphere. Our waiter was a pro, who was quick to offer off-menu options for our 10-year-old. The short ribs were so tender, a knife was unnecessary, calamari and arugula/beet salad was terrific, fresh and a meal in itself. This was a very nice restaurant that Warwick should be happy to have. We were glad to find it! read more

Horrible place, horrible service. Went there tonight with a couple of friends. As we walked in we were greeted by, I believe he was the manager, he said hi, how many? Do you have any reservations? we said 3 of us and no reservations, this guy asked how long are we going to be? Are you having dinner, appetizers, drinks? We were confused at all the questions, so we just said appetizers and drinks, so he sat us at a table and sent a server over to take our order, served our meals and wouldn't leave us alone, kept asking if we were all set, took plates away immediately and came back to rush us out the door. One of the worst experiences at any establishment. We will never return. Place sucks. read more

Very convenient to guests at the Hilton garden Inn (I was one). Portions are generous, get them to share. Love: 1. A vegetarian section on the menu, and vegetarian specials. 2. My special - Korean tacos, with marinated seitan and veggies; I could have done without the guac, but what the heck. Jalapeno slaw. Very imaginatively put together and flavorful to boot. 3. Zingy, lemony peppery olive oil dip for bread... I put down my Economist to savor the flavor. That's high praise. 4. Attentive service - I needed some me time. My waiter and the manager both picked up on this, made sure to check in but gave me plenty of space. I noticed neighboring tables getting plenty of more friendly attention they needed and seemed to appreciate. Tonight I wanted courtesy and food. Got it both. Good job reading the customers. Could be better: 1. Touch noisy, and hipster ambience.. could do with a bit more light. 2. Truffle fries - odi et amo. Could taste the delish truffle oil, yay. Good idaho potatoe yay.. But limp fries. And some gawd-help-us too-salty impostor of a garlic aioli. In the mandatory metal flute. French fry cook could use some time in Belgium .. harrumph! I expect better for $8. 3. The dip in 3 above - cries out for a crusty roll or something with a bit more body and soul to it than Italian wonderbread. Happy overall. Would I come back? Yes, to explore their next vegetarian special, very happily. I'll skip the fries. read more

I'm so surprised by all the low ratings on this place! Maybe they took it all into consideration and greatly improved because I have been here twice now and have had great experiences both times. I also saw some comments that there was no kids menu, but honestly, I think they did that for a reason. This place is not very kid friendly, nor do I think it should be. Even though it is attached to a hotel, it's a gastropub! The food and drinks are more high-end and most of the time people who are looking for kid-friendly places are not going to want to spend a little more money. The food we had was awesome! I got the truffle fries both times because they were so amazing the first time around. Best truffle fries I have ever had! I tried this cheese board that was on the specials with baked brie, bread and some sort of fruit spread (ughhhhh I'm drooling). I tried the braised beef mac n cheese and it was delicious. But seriously, if you go, GET THE TRUFFLE FRIES. You will not regret it. The service was great and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. When I went the second time, they said there was going to be a 45 minute wait, which we were willing to do because we were in no rush at all and figured we could get some drinks at the bar first. But, we actually only ended up waiting for 15 minutes. read more
