Traveled with a team. Stayed 3 nights. Typical routine, try a new local authentic Restaurant each night. Not here. By unanimous vote, we ate all three nights at Iron Works! So convenient. Connected to our Hotel. Close to the airport, but the kicker was this: AWESOME EMPLOYEES and Better than Terrific food! When you are taking reservations and waiting for a table on mid-week nights, you know it's got to be better than good! Superb wine and bear selection as well. Loved it! read more

Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a layover for work. Had been to the restaurant once before & remembered it being decent. On this visit they were offering a 3 course lunch for $12.95. Had the caprese salad, turkey dinner & cheesecake. The caprese was 4 nice slices of tomato with 3 nice slices of fresh mozzarella with a basil pesto drizzle. Was not served with bread so we asked the waitress for some. She forgot about the bread so we finally got it when we had 1 tomato & 1 piece of cheese left. The turkey dinner was great! Real mashed potatoes, moist stuffing, nice size serving of turkey, roasted vegetables & a dab of cranberry sauce. Everything needed a touch more salt but I prefer to add my own than have it too salty so that was fine. The cheesecake was the only disappointing part of the whole meal. I wish I would have got the alternative a chocolate mousse. My friend had the gorgonzola chicken pasta & it looked amazing! Saw a neighboring table had the lobster pot pie that looked good too. They were also offering half price wine & I had a lovely chardonnay for $3.50. The restaurant was packed & it was quite loud. read more

I had the lobster roll. All I can say is I want more! We shared an order of mac n' cheese, and it was delicious. I had the margarita, and it was an excellent choice with my dinner. The ambiance was excellent. IWT is a place worth visiting in the Providence area. I highly recommend taking the time - even if you're downtown - to visit IWT and have dinner. If you do, make sure you make reservations. We failed to do so and had to wait about an hour for the table. The food was so worth the wait. read more

All I can say is this place has amazing food, and service. The food never fails is so amazing. I have a gluten allergy, and this place gives me options for the food is delicious. That doesn't happen very often. 10 out of ten great place all around. Thank you for making it home my experience so great tonight. Sadly I didn't catch the name of our server... she gave amazing service. read more

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn which is connected to the Iron Works. I cannot say enough about how wonderful how are experience was. When we first walked in we were told it would be a wait for the table unless we were willing to sit at the bar. Because we were hungry we decided not to wait for a table but sit at the bar. This was the best decision we could've made. There were three people working at the bar and they all took care of us. They showed real teamwork. before we sat at the bar they cleaned the area and then disinfected it which gave me a good sense of security. My husband ordered a local fish special which he thought was OK but not quite spicy enough for his liking. Since he was so hungry after he ate the fish he ordered the fried calamari appetizer which was definitely spicy like he wanted. I had a hard time deciding what to get on the menu since I am on weight watchers. When I mentioned that to the bar tender right away she suggested the roasted chicken with broccolini, carrots and extra vegetables. She said I could get the sauces on the side. So I did as instructed and the food was very tasty and juicy and very Weight Watchers friendly. It was also very filling since it was a half of a roasted chicken. From our seats at the bar we could see all of the food that was being brought out and every single dish looked amazing. Everything came out hot and perfectly presented. Even the salads looked delicious. For desert we decided to order the flourless chocolate cake. It was outstanding! The menu said it had hazelnuts sprinkled on top. I could not believe how many hazelnuts were in it and the raspberry sauce was delicious and not too sweet. It was so rich that we wound up taking half of it to go because it was too good to waste. To top this all off was the very reasonable price of our dinner. We had 2 entrees, an appetizer, an IPA and desert and the total bill was less then $90. I highly recommend the ironworks and kiddos goes to all of the very hard working staff. read more

What a wonderful restaurant! Came here as part of the 2015 restaurant week, but my wife and I enjoyed it very much and would likely return, even without the benefit of a prix fixe menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant; it has a distinctive industrial feel with lots of brick. Tables are spaced far enough apart that it never felt too loud while dining. On to the food! For appetizers we tried both the buffalo chicken dip and the steamed mussels. Both were good, but the mussels weren't anything out of the ordinary. I would strongly recommend the buffalo chicken dip and it can easily be shared. For entrees I had the braised beef short rib. It was delicious and the meat was very tender. The regular price of most of the entrees was about $20. Although the food was good, there is probably a slight premium since the restaurant is attached to a hotel with a captive audience. We both ordered cocktails, myself the Tennessee kid, and my wife the ginger margarita. The cocktails were $9 each and were a little disappointing at first glance as they were served in small glasses; however, despite their diminutive size, both drink were of an appropriate strength suitable for a one cocktail evening. In conclusion, the Iron Works Tavern is a great restaurant serving very good american food. If you are staying in the attached Hilton hotel and are unfamiliar with Warwick then it's a great choice for dinner. As previously stated, the prices are near $20 for an entree, so if you are looking for inexpensive or a quick bite, this probably isn't the spot for you. But, if you are looking to relax for an evening and enjoy some culinary delights, you're in the right place. read more

Good, not great. Probably will work out some of the issues in time. Went in the middle of a driving rain storm which probably didn't help. Had to mull around a bit and wait for a bar spot to open. The place was packed to the gills. Ordered Clam Chowder and Salmon and a glass of Whistlepig 10 Year Employees Choice. The whiskey was good, and had the spice you'd expect out of a rye. The Chowder was also good. The Salmon took nearly an hour to come out after ordering. When it did, it was barely above room temperature and it was also translucent in the middle. If it was hot and translucent, or if it was cooked through and still kind of cold, I'd have eaten it, but the combination of both low temp and see through color was disconcerting. I had it returned and cooked longer. 10 minutes later the same piece of salmon was given back to me (I broke it in a specific way and it was returned broken which is fine!) and it was definitely hot. Whether it was just microwaved or if it was regrilled I couldn't tell, but at least I am certain it didn't have anything that could make me sick. For 50 bucks plus tip, the food came out quite slowly although it definitely was pretty tasty. It was also a nice big, thick portion of fish for what it's worth. I think the kitchen was extremely rushed and that's why my plate came out badly. But who knows. I probably won't give this place a try again, but that's entirely due to me living in Atlanta and never coming up here... but I'd wager if you went when it was a bit less busy it'd be just fine. read more

I thought this would be a cool place to go. Great ambiance and the staff were friendly. The lack of stars is because the menu doesn't offer a lot and the sandwich I had was average and not what what I expected in taste. read more

What a find!! Love the atmosphere and feel of the place. Had the short ribs and they were incredible! Will be back!

First time here and everything was perfect! Our waitress was attentive and everything came out at a great pace. We had calamari, short ribs, meatloaf, and bread pudding for dessert. The entire meal was absolutely delicious! Our first time having bread pudding and it one one of the best desserts we've ever had. We'll definitely be back again! read more

Great ambience, service and the food was delicious. The lettuce wraps and the chickpea burger were very tasty as was the mimosa

The food, the vibe, and the staff were off the chain great. I cannot recommend Iron Works more. If you are in Providence it's a must stop for dinner read more

Stopped in for a burger and beer before flying home after a week on Cape Cod. We sat at the bar and enjoyed great service, cold local craft beers and very good bar food all presented at a reasonable price. No, it wasn't sitting on a patio for chowdah and a lobsta roll with a salt air breeze. But hey, it was pretty darn good and my wallet wasn't missing a couple Benjamins walking out the door. I'll gladly return. read more

Showed up with a party of 10, including 6 children, and we had an amazing experience. Our server, Brian, was exceptional and everyone's meal were delicious. Although the menu is somewhat limited, everything we ordered was cooked fresh and well flavored. Do not skip dessert, the cheesecake and bread-pudding are better than your grandmother's recipe. We left very pleased and we will return again. read more

Never had a bad meal here and the inside is cozy but cool. The service is also excellent.

Good food, great fries, great angora. Marcus had the swordfish and it was delicious. Bacon on the burger was just right.

Very disappointed. Called to make a reservation for 10 people and they will not take reservations for parties over 5 on a Friday or Saturday night. I know there must be a good reason for this but I don't get it. This was a birthday dinner for someone that really enjoys this restaurant. read more

Was at HGI for an event, ended up coming here afterwards. Food- 3 Stars Drunkenly ordered a pizza, way better than expected albeit a little too greasy. Drinks- 4 Stars Good beer selection. Mixed drinks also seemed good. Service- 3.5 Stars Bartender was nice enough. Atmosphere- 3 Stars Pretty nice inside, but they had live music and it was awkwardly placed IMO. read more

This review is for the happy hour at Iron Works. Pros: Nice Decor Parking Decent Food Service Cons: Hotel Restaurant House Special not good I went in and got half price apps and couple of craft beers. The beer was good. One shrimp app that I had was 5 stars but the issue that I have is that the signature mac and cheese dish was awful. That worries me. Overall a nice place in a decent spot with good service. It's a hotel restaurant/bar so you can only rate it so high. I would go back just for the Shrimp Jefferson, that was a great dish. Thanks read more

For a hotel restaurant, this place is stellar. I highly recommend dining here in the fall and getting the stuffed pumpkin appetizer special. This is stuffed with scallops and cranberries and is totally amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and the service here is also good. read more

My wife and I ordered food and had it delivered. Order consisted of 2 salads which were good but very small for the price ($12 each). The burger which was ordered well done was medium rare at best and still managed to be dry. The fries smelled like a stale order of fish & chips (very fishey). Very disappointed ! read more

This restaurant was suggested by a family friend. Our server Joe was so knowledgeable and friendly he helped me decide because everything looked so good. I tasted both my sister's and my husbands food and also delicious we went during a busy time but were still sat promptly. The manager Bill even came over to check and see if our meal / experience was good . The decor here is so cool its like neuvo industrial but not super loud or crazy . Will DEFINITELY RETURN!!! great place read more

Grewt service and a fully stocked bar. Some of the best Bourbons. Craft beers on draught are ice cold. Kitchen and restaurant just did a big makeover. Food is mostly the same and delicious as always. Nice that my favorite bar tender returned after the renovations. I always look forward to dining here when I am in town for business. Order the stuffies or the buffalo chicken dip as they are both great. read more

This is officially my favorite restaurant in Rhode Island. I'm here visiting a couple of times a year and have found some great food. This spot just made me happy dance, y'all. Like, full-on shimmy. This is an arugula salad that I can best describe as a delicious and superior alternative to a Caesar. Now, I rarely like fries and when I do, I NEVER kill the whole plate. This is all take out, mind you. Now I wish I had gone in and just hung out a bit because I already know I'm going here often. This steak (this is the steak frites order, fyi) is seasoned and cooked perfectly, exactly to order, no need to ruin it with additional salt or steak sauce. Seriously, this is food that deserves to be tasted fully, appreciated. My daughter said her burger was phenomenal. She is fun sized but devoured the whole thing. She also offered a shimmy. read more

Came in at noon today for lunch and service was slow! The waitress apologized but if you want guests to come in for lunch it shouldn't take more than an hour for the whole shabang! The food was good but the calamari was the smallest portion I've ever had! I would definitely return because the salad and appetizers were good. My friend got the lobster roll and it looked great! read more

Friendly, extremely efficient bartenders. The servers and cooks were fast too. Wow, do they work as a team. The food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared and presented. Managers seemed genuinely nice and staff was un-stressed. I wish all restaurants could be this way. I have to say it is not gourmet level but not priced that way either. I had a great time. I was alone, sat at the bar rather than wait 30 minutes. They really saved me from a crappy night dining alone on a business trip and not because they sat and talked to me (too busy doing a great job). They made me feel welcome and looked after the whole time. read more

We been here 2 times, lunch was fantastic, service outstanding, food fresh and very good , now let's talk about dinner my daughter and ordered the ramen noodles, presentation wise beautiful, then we take a bite boom , large bone a little bigger than a quarter in my mouth couldn't see it because broth was dark, when I pointed out to the server she seemed confused and a older manager came over placed his hand in my teenage daughter and said can I help you with something (she was so creeped out) and then when I spoke up and asked politely is this supposed to be in my 26$ soup he began explaining the process of the meat broth? Totally uncomfortable situation overall , I will stick with the shanty fresh local foods without the choking hazards or creepy manager. read more

Great experience, the food was outstanding but the service was better. Highly recommend.

Love this place! Me and my wife go often. The atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly

I have only come to Iron Works Tavern for half-priced appetizers (offered from 3 PM to 6 PM!) and have never been disappointed. I usually come with a large party and we order a bunch of appetizers and drinks. Some of our favorites are the wings, the pizzas, and the truffle fries. They have delicious gluten free options and a person in my party who has Celiac has never been disappointed. They have Omission as well, our gluten free friend really felt a part of the beer and appetizer night. I honestly don't know if I'd come to Iron Works without some sort of deal, happy hour, or gift certificate because it can be pricey, but when those are happening I am first in line! read more

Really enjoyed the lunch! I stopped in for a quick meal on a weekday afternoon because it is right near my office. There's a separate entrance for the bar room which is where we sat. I really liked the vibes inside. I got the quinoa salad which was super good. It had a lot of quinoa in it with lettuce, other veggies, and balsamic glaze. It was a big portion and filled me up for awhile. My boyfriend tried the pulled pork sandwich which looked really good also. The lunch prices are super reasonable and really worth it. The parking lot is very spacious and easy to get to. I drive by it all the time and never thought to go inside. I'd definitely like to go back to try the dinner and some cocktails! read more

The stars are still for the atmosphere...the food is just not what it should be and the wine list is still lacking. The roasted chicken took about 5 minutes to come out and you could tell it was reheated...a bit dry. They'd be better off making a chicken salad out of leftovers and always do that dish fresh. Oh how I wish I could have a place that is so beautiful and classy! Such a bummer. :( read more

If you have Celiac this may very become your "go to" place! I have visited IWT three times since being diagnosed. The staff fully understands the different between gluten sensitivity & celiac! Not only do they have gluten free options, the waitstaff always asks whether it's a gluten sensitivity or Celiac! They care! We visited for St. Patrick's Day and not only did they prepare scallops wrapped in bacon that as gluten free but voluntary reassured me that my corned beef dinner was absolutely gluten free! The food exceeded my expectations & provides me with comfort to know I will not walk away hungry or worry that I may get sick! For those with Celiac - this is the place to visit!!! Local pub near airport with aging clientele. Place could use a major makeover. Low lighting and large center bar was off-putting. Did not try the drafts here. Decent selection of canned craft beer/ciders. Fish and chips were good. read more

I have been coming here for over 15 years now, and one thing has remained consistent and top notch. We come here to visit Kenny Geurcia, the best bartender I've ever known. His service and personality behind the bar is the reason we continue to frequent Iron Works for all these years. Ownership has changed, but Kenny's consistency and presence has always been! Just wish they'd stay open later like they used to. 10:00 on weekends is a bit early! read more

Good food but what's with menu lately?? No pork chops? No STEAK?? Pretty strange for a place like this. I don't even remember seeing any grilled items at all to speak of. I had the wings for an app. Really good. Same as the nachos for my entree because there was literally NO grilled meat options!? I won't go out of my way to eat here again until the menu changes. Again the food wasn't bad. You would just think that a place like this would....never mind you get it. read more

Best restaurant in Warwick (not saying much, unfortunately). One of the only restaurants offering something NOT consisting of pizza, donuts, or fast food. Located in a beautifully renovated building, this restaurant includes reasonably priced creative entrees and sides including ROASTED CAULIFLOWER LENTIL FRITTERS, and PARMESAN TRUFFLE FRIES - yum. Unfortunately, the acoustics are not the best - it can get LOUD. I hope they bring back the roasted Brussel sprouts... loved those. Go here. read more
