Ok the reason I'm having this a a low rave is for the prices because holy crap was this expensive, it cost $18 before tipping, but over all the food was good and the waitress was excellent she was very friendly and very attentive, the waitress gets 5 Stars

Smash burger with fries

Well... the first thing I have to say is the price is very high. Especially when you get a burger and fries with a drink and the bill was over $21 plus tip!!! And the burger wasn't that great... but it is a truckstop and they know drivers are limited on places to park.

New salad guy!!

New salad guy in town here. Nice small sizes of salad fixings on the bar there. Always fresh too. We just got soup n salad tonite with fresh fruit for desert. Doing laundry also. So I'm hopping back n forth inside. Waitress was great. We sat in the Club room at two club chairs at a round table. It was pretty comfy. I could lean back when I wasn't eating and stare around. Lol. The tv was On in the room which was nice. I had the laundry done and we were on our phones when some loud trucker started talking about all the drugs he has taken and what kind of high u get... really???? So basically he was the killjoy in the room... time to go!!

My family was in the area for a special event. Whenever we go to a new place, I peruse reviews…read morespecifically for Indian food because it's a favorite and somewhat hard to find. Like other people mentioned, the place itself is very clean and airy which is inviting. Also, as others mentioned, they give you a mini plastic bottle of water with your meal. I'd love to know the thinking behind that. It's takes away from the class of the meal. In underdeveloped countries getting bottled water is a sign that it's drinkable. Not sure the purpose here, but it feels wasteful. We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Kadai Chicken and Malai Kofta along with garlic naan. We got medium heat and were happy. Kadai Chicken was new to us and we loved it. Spectacular. Delicate and intricate flavors. We always order Malai Kofta if it's on the menu. Never disappoints. Chicken Tikka Masala was very good. We were just more enamored with the Kadai. All the dishes worked very well together. The malai kofta wasn't even hot, but we loved it anyway. I really should have sent it back, but as I mentioned, we were in town for a happy event so we just rolled with it! It was expensive and not something we'd do every week, but if you're looking for tasty Indian, this is it.

When I walk into a nice place, I often notice the floor, maybe marble, maybe terrazzo, or just really wet and shiny tile. Well, it makes me feel good knowing that the floor is clean. I know that everything else inside of the establishment is also going to be clean. That's how I felt when I was at this Indian restaurant. Now, I was on my way to go do a strip-and-wax job to make someone's floors look wet and glossy. I decided to stop and get some lunch along the way, and this is where I ended up: Royal Kitchen. I don't eat a lot of meat in my life anymore. That's the reason why I have so much energy, but this diet is not for everyone because everyone is different. However, let's stop talking about me. Let's talk about how delicious this food was. It did take a little while for it to come out, but I was pleasantly surprised by how fluffy on the outside and also crisp the garlic naan was. The prices were very reasonable, and I believe at this place, I got a coconut cashew dish, and I must say it was very delicious. Now, normally when I eat Nepali and/or Indian food, it is spicy. I got the medium spice. That way, I was able to enjoy the flavor notes, and, well, I didn't regret it. This establishment is great. It is right off the highway and has plenty of seating. They also have a bar area, which is amazing. And if you want to have a banquet hall for a party of 10 or more, this is definitely the spot. The menu has all the ingredients listed and what is inside the food, which makes it very easy to choose what you want to eat. The bathrooms are also very clean. When you walk in, there is some incense in the beginning, and it is not overwhelming. It is pleasant and relaxing. It feels like you were transported into what I would believe is another part of the world. So, if you want to be a part of this world, I invite you to come and try the food here at this establishment! If you like my reviews, please visit my YouTube channel: @brandenleebutler

Benny's has become a staple in our lives - it's a local landmark - and it's not just because it's the close/local pizza option. Benny's provides outstanding food, prepared by a consistent, personable group of guys who work day in and day out to deliver incredible dining experiences. Benny's always seems busy, but they always seem to have everything under control too. They manage a constant barrage of orders with ease, and never come across as too busy to be polite and friendly. This is primarily a take out establishment - there are a couple of seats inside (and one small booth), but it's not a sit down restaurant. That said, you'll feel right at home while waiting for your food - the guys make jokes and friendly small talk with you, and there's always a game of some kind on the TV. Their pizza is great (I'm a fan of their standard cheese or pepperoni, though their buffalo chicken is unreal too). There spaghetti with meat sauce is out of this world. I love their cheese ravioli. Their cheesesteaks are phenomenal as well. I can't say I've ever had a "bad" meal from Benny's. You won't be disappointed, trust me!

The service was excellent both evenings! Yes! We chose to enjoy dinner two nights in a row! We were thrilled, and blessed to have Meg as our server, both visits. Meg was attentive, engaging and very knowledgeable of the menu. She was a pure delight. The first evening we ordered the Meatball Sliders as an Appetizer. What incredible flavor and texture these meatballs have! All meat! The red sauce was wonderfully bright with true authentic Italian sauce. My husband and I shared the sliders and the Cubana sandwich. What fabulous flavors in the Cubana as well. The bread had a nice crunch on the outside with soft bites inside. Delicious!! The second night we enjoyed delicious Spaghetti and those wonderful Meatballs along with the best Chicken Marsala we've ever enjoyed. We will visit the next time we are in Carlisle.

Pitt Street Station offers a number of items that would work for vegetarians and gluten free…read morepatrons. As for vegans, well, there isn't much. Thankfully the restaurant is willing to accommodate (like leaving the cheese off a pizza) so there are vegan items to be crafted. It would just be cool if there were one or two items designed with vegans in mind. So, after some hocus pocus work, I decided on The Puttanesca Pizza and a non-alcoholic Cinnamon Vanilla Mule. The Puttanesca Pizza typically features olive tapenade, house tomato sauce, shaved Romano and rosemary gremolata. The waitress said it would be no problem to leave off the Romano. The Cinnamon Vanilla Mule contains cinnamon-vanilla syrup and ginger beer. Thankfully no substitutions needed here. The pizza at Pitt Street Station is bar style. A thin, chewy crust with the toppings layered on top. I found the crust to be pretty good. I like the combo of tapenade and house tomato sauce but did find it a tad salty. Can't imagine what it is like with the Romano added in. The Cinnamon Vanilla Mule was very good. I liked the balance of all the components. It was cool to see some non alcoholic cocktails on the menu and to have them be really good. I would return to Pitt Street Station if meeting up with someone because the place is accommodating to dietary needs but until some actual vegan items are on the menu it won't be somewhere I seek out on my own.

One13 describes itself as upscale casual, which I think is an accurate description of the atmosphere. We started with the Clams Casino and She Crab Bisque. The Clams Casino were very good and quite different from what I'm used to. Rather than clams topped with bacon and breadcrumbs, One13 serves them more deconstructed, in a bucket with broth and diced bacon accompanied by toasted bread. My wife had the She Crab Bisque and enjoyed it. For our entrées, we both ordered the Salmon Caprese. They didn't ask how we wanted the salmon prepared, but I would estimate it was cooked to medium. The salmon was very good. One interesting part of the dish was the cauliflower purée, which was served cold. There was nothing wrong with it, but when something looks like mashed potatoes, your mind expects it to be hot, so the first bite caught me by surprise. My wife had a Pinot Noir with dinner while I had a Sauvignon Blanc, and both paired well with the salmon. Overall, we had a very good dinner at One13 Social and thought it was a great choice while staying in Carlisle. We parked in the nearby Comfort Inn parking garage, which also gave me a little more peace of mind about leaving the Corvette overnight. We would definitely return next year when we're back for Corvettes at Carlisle.
