    Spicy chicken , Hawaiian bulgogi

The food here is amazing. I had come previously, I tried the lunch specials this time and COCO & KEVIN was an amazing host . Love how they came every 5 minutes to check up on us ! There was about 3 tables filled when I came so no crowd which I love . Loved the ambiance .

Iron Age is a cool KBBQ spot in the Columbia Heights, offering AYCE meat over a 90-minute period. My friends and I primarily ate the regular and Hawaiian bulgogi, as well as the spicy squid, but there are also several chicken, beef and shrimp options. For the dinner offer, the meal (not including extra add ons and drinks) is a little over $40 per person, after taxes and tip. In addition to the meat options, the servers came often to check if we wanted extra rice, sauces and side vegetables, which are included in the AYCE. Service was great with how often the waiters checked in and solid experience with Kpop music and videos playing in the background.

We arrived for dinner around 8 on a Sunday night. I was expecting for a wait only to be seated immediately. Service was friendly and our server was attentive. I ordered a beer and we started with beef bolgogi. SO GOOD! We also ended up ordering the spicy chicken, spicy pork bulgogi, shrimp, and seasoned steak. Our favorite was the spicy pork bolgogi because it was super tender and had delicious flavor. Idk what it was about this grill, but it made all the meat we had taste so flavorful and bbq-y. Ambience: K-pop was blasting in the background and people were having a good time laughing and eating. Dinner was about $35 after tip. This is probably one of my favorite locations compared to others bc they weren't rushing us to finish like other locations do. Will definitely be coming back!

$29 ayce per person, gratuity included for our 6p group. We liked cooking for ourselves. Our server Luis does good work. Watching Kpop videography while meat cooks is fun. Competitive pricing makes small inconveniences worth it. The single grill table is too small to feed 6 hungry hippos, but is perfectly ok if your appetite is reasonably hungry. Pacing was a little bit slow, but again, that's a 6 people issue. We will gladly adjust for next time (split into 2 groups, ask for next meat to arrive more ahead of time). We liked ordering the Soy Beef Steak and Brisket on repeat and will do that again next time. +++ Soy Marinated Beef Steak ++ Brisket (tad dry) + Montreal Seasoned Beef Steak + Marinated Squid | Plain Shrimp - Plain Top Blade (too dry)

Hands down, the best Korean food I've had in a while! The soy steak was out of this world, and the soy pork was so tender it just melted in my mouth. The atmosphere was really cool too, with the iron age vibes adding to the whole dining experience. Highly recommend!

First time Korean BBQ and it was pretty good. All you can eat lunch special. Everything was served just on time. I would definitely visit again.

I have been here more times than I can count -- birthdays, reunions, happy hours, celebrations with friends, and even dinners with my Assistant Principals to celebrate the end of the school year. At this point, it's more than just a restaurant to me; it's become part of my favorite DC memories. What makes Joe's stand out is the consistency. The food is ALWAYS good, the service is polished without feeling pretentious, and the atmosphere gives classic upscale DC dining in the best way possible. Located in a beautiful historic bank building downtown, the restaurant has a timeless elegance that immediately makes any dinner feel special. The history behind Joe's -- dating back to the original Miami Beach location that opened in 1913 -- adds another layer to the experience because you truly feel like you're dining at a place with legacy and tradition. The famous stone crabs absolutely live up to the hype. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the signature mustard sauce, they're one of those dishes you think about long after dinner is over. And surprisingly, one of the BEST things on the menu is the fried chicken. I know it sounds crazy to order fried chicken at a seafood restaurant, but anyone who knows Joe's knows exactly what I mean. Crispy, juicy, seasoned perfectly -- it's comfort food done right and honestly one of the most underrated dishes in DC dining. Even longtime fans online constantly rave about it. Their brunch is another reason I keep coming back. The energy is upscale but relaxed, making it perfect for celebrations or a nice weekend outing. The seafood platter is incredible if you want to sample a little bit of everything, and it's always beautifully presented. From the crab cakes to the oysters to the lobster, you can tell the quality is top-tier. And of course, no visit feels complete without dessert -- the key lime pie is legendary for a reason. One thing I appreciate most is that Joe's works for almost every occasion. You can go for a professional dinner, a birthday celebration, date night, happy hour after work, or just because you want a really good meal in a beautiful part of Washington, DC. I've celebrated some major milestones here, and every visit reminds me why it's still my favorite restaurant in the city. If you're looking for a place in DC that combines amazing food, history, excellent service, and an upscale atmosphere that still feels welcoming, Joe's is absolutely worth experiencing at least once -- although chances are, once won't be enough.

Their seafood tower is a must if you have a few people willing to share. Joe's also offers a great 3-course lunch special from 11:30-4 and cocktail hour from 2:30 - 6:00 for the power lunch and/or happy hour crowd. Classic restaurant, great service, and something for everyone.

I enjoyed Herb Roasted Branzino with a side of Garlic Truffle Cauliflower. I asked for a mocktail with mint, and Eli executed it perfectly. The only problem with the menu is that there are too many delicious options, and one can only eat so much. Everything worked out perfectly for my Valentine's Day dinner though because I left with a to-go bag of chocolate cheesecake and a separate order of chocolate covered strawberries. Both were delicious even after a couple of days in my fridge because they were already so freshly made. The chocolate cheesecake is out of this world. What makes this cheesecake extra special is the Oreo cookie crumb crust and premium cocoa, espresso, dark chocolate ganache. It also came with plump raspberries. I came to Mastros for a stress-free experience and delicious meal; my expectations were exceeded. Customer service is 5 stars, the food and drinks are 5 stars, and the live music and ambiance are icing on the cake.

Not because we were enjoying ourselves. Because we spent the entire night chasing down our server, Elena. It started early. My friend, a Native American attorney, asked a question about the menu. Elena didn't answer her. She turned to me and asked me to explain the menu item to her. A grown, accomplished woman sitting right in front of her. That's when we realized what was happening. She assumed my friend didn't speak English because she's an older brown woman. That's not a miscommunication. That's a assumption rooted in bias. It set the tone for the entire night. We ordered Wagyu steaks. Expensive ones. Two of us ordered medium rare. One ordered medium well. We received the opposite of everything. No one came to check on us. We had to physically hunt Elena down to flag the problem. Management eventually agreed the steaks were wrong, but only replaced one at first. We had to flag him down again for the second. We told Elena at the start that food and alcohol needed to be on separate checks for business expense purposes. Simple request. She brought one combined bill. Then when she finally separated it, the comped drink that appeared on the first bill was suddenly back on the alcohol check. When we questioned it calmly and asked for the manager, she got an attitude, walked away, and stood with other staff pointing at our table. We asked for the manager twice. He never came. She grabbed my card in a rush without taking the other person's card for the separate alcohol bill. More confusion. More waiting. The food, when cooked correctly, was fine. But no steak is worth three hours of being ignored, talked about by staff, and treated like we were the problem. Elena made it clear from the first interaction that she had already decided what kind of table we were. That's not a service failure. That's a character failure. I'll be calling management tomorrow as well. This needs to be addressed.
